You can tip directly, put the tip in a small envelope when you pay, or add it to the total. Mon Siam has been my go-to massage place for quite some time now, and I've never had a bad massage. I've written a review a little over a year and a half ago with Nari but she is no longer there. By luck when I went to schedule an appointment online there was a new masseuse, Casper. I'm writing this review after my second massage with her. Putting aside my affinity for the friendly ghost, Casper is new to the industry according to her from my first massage with her. If she had not told me I would have thought she was a seasoned professional with that level of confidence and skill. With her technique along with her knowledge of anatomy she was like Beethoven and I her piano as she wrote a symphony knowing exactly what every knot and muscle needed to relax. For someone so new she was at least as good as Nari. I absolutely love this place and couldn't recommend it or Casper more highly.

It's too bad the masseuse started over the covers so the rough hands situation wasn't immediately discovered and the timing to bring it up felt questionable. The biggest surprise, though? My gift card had somehow shrunk 45%! Apparently, it was charged a fee back in January. Definitely something I wish I had known about. The receptionist was emphatic and offered a $10 credit. For the pricing, I believe there are better options out there. Nice enough experience overall, but not a place I'd rush back to UPDATE: the business swiftly corrected their system issue and provided a refund for the shortage on my gift card, this was unexpected but much appreciated. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. I had an appointment with Lily today, and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. The appointment was scheduled for 4:45 pm, and I arrived at 4:30 pm. However, Lily was still checking out her previous customer at 4:50 pm, and the session finally started at 5 pm. During the first 20 minutes, she only stepped on my legs, and to my astonishment, SHE WAS EATING! I was extremely shocked. I could clearly hear her unwrapping some kind of snack and chewing her food throughout the massage. This continued from the beginning of the massage, and the constant chewing sound became intolerable. After almost 30 minutes of her eating (while only massaging my feet and legs with her feet), I asked her to stop and canceled the session. I understand that appointments can sometimes be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, and breaks may be needed between sessions. However, eating while providing a service is highly unprofessional and inappropriate, which is unacceptable. Vicky was the person who checked me out after I ended the session early. I reported my experience to her, and she kindly offered me a free 30-minute session next time. Despite all this, I still paid the full price. However, I am seriously reconsidering returning in the future. read more

Lily, is phenomenal. She is attentive will providing a very professional assessment of what she feels as the massage progresses. She makes sure to check in with you on how you are feeling and also recommends alternative methods of stretching and meditation. This place is a hidden gem and I frequent this spa and I am a happy customer. Vicky is my goto masseuse and I have never seen anyone like her ever before because I workout regularly and my body takes a long time to recover. Hailey actually understands what a deep tissue massage is and executed it better than anyone I've ever met. Learned that a Thai massage involves standing pressure which is why it was so effective. Can I give 6 . Vicky is the 3rd masseuse I have told "There's something wrong with my right shoulder." After walking on my back (amazing) she zeroed in on the shoulder. She manipulated my shoulder into 5 different positions, found pain where I didn't know existed. 'No pain no gain.' Her words. I have so much range of motion in that shoulder now. Parking is super easy back of the building. The main door is locked, so make sure you text Lydia when you arrive. The massage was excellent. Lydia checked multiple times during the session to make sure the pressure, temperature etc was fine. She also asked for any specific areas to target before starting the session. She took proper time to remove knots, the pressure was perfect and the technique was great. She didn't use elbows (unlike few other places, which was a relief). I felt completely relaxed, no soreness after the massage. She also did some stretching addressing tightness in the body. The room was super clean, and nice. Lydia was warm and friendly. Highly recommend it and hope to be back soon.
