DEAL: did a Groupon deal for a couples massage. Ended up trying out the Menlo Park location. Located in a shopping center. Park by the Starbucks because it's across from the Starbucks. Sign says some French name and not Heart Centered Massage so that was confusing. When you set an appointment online, be sure to CALL and confirm it. I called to confirm, and turns out it double booked so she asked if I can change the time to half an hour later so thank goodness I called to make sure. INSIDE: is nice, professional, classy, nice enough to bring a date. Bathrooms were clean and nice too. Couples massage room had heated tables and a water fountain. MASSAGE: R did my massage and N did my partner's massage. R asked me where I wanted to focus on and how much pressure I liked. And he checked in periodically to ask how I was doing. MORE DEALS: they offered to purchase the same Groupon. My card was charged and the girl said I would get emailed a receipt. Been a couple weeks and I still haven't gotten an email. I called, and they re-sent the email from a yahoo account and advised that sometimes the credit card auto email does not go through. read more

Let me start by saying if I could give this place 0 stars I would! I purchased a Groupon for this place. BIG MISTAKE!!! I could not get an appointment for weeks. I left several voice messages and it took days to get a call back. When I finally got a call back it was like pulling teeth to schedule an appointment. This place does not offer convenient appointment times. Most people work during the middle of the day and there were very few evening appointments. When we did finally agree on a date and time I was supposed to receive an email confirmation. That NEVER came! I called a few days before my appointment was supposed to be scheduled to confirm, since I didn't receive a confirmation. Again, I left several message and waited two days to receive a return phone call. The girl I spoke with, Amber, states that they did not have me on the schedule. WHAT!? all this hassle and they LOST MT APPT!!! I cancelled the entire thing. If they can't even schedule an appointment correctly, I am afraid to see what type of massage they would provide. Needless to say, I got my money back from Groupon and found and even better place in the process. read more

This place has good deals for the area, and I liked it at first when I was regularly able to get appointments with Nick. He moved to another location, though, and since then the service has unfortunately been pretty bad. The last time I went, the massage therapist I had intentionally booked the appointment with was for some reason not available and I agreed to be seen by someone else. It wasn't what I was looking for, so when I rebooked for the next month, I intentionally booked with someone else. Again, they've just emailed me at the last minute that my appointment is with someone else than who I intentionally booked (far in advance) with - and it's the same person I had last time, that didn't go well for me. So, if you are happy with any old massage, this could be a good place for you, but if you have real needs and intentionally want to see a certain massage therapist, don't bother because they won't honor that. It's not cheap enough that I would expect that to happen. read more

My boyfriend purchased a groupon For a couples massage as a Valentine's Day gift. We called multiple times and left multiple messages never had a phone call returned. I also tried emailing to set up an appointment and did receive one response but was asked for a credit card. When I responded mentioning the Groupon they never responded back. Cheryl's does a great massage, however the place is filthy, because Cheryl doesn't have a janitorial service come in to clean - ever. Dust bunnies on the floor, overflowing garbage cans, clients run out of toilet paper, etc. I know because I worked there as a massage therapist, and also for Cheryl at her other location - Rose Garden Massage in Santa Clara. There are many other issues at both places, but I think I've said enough for now. read more

I am so bummed to have to do an update that is negative. We had booked a prenatal couples massage and a few days before the appointment, I called to confirm because we were driving from out if the area for it (almost an hour away). I called 3 times and each time left a VM to confirm over a few different days. I never heard back. We showed up early for the appointment and no one was there- door locked, lights out, and the computer not out like it was the 1st time. I left a final message explaining that no one there and to call me when they get in. They called me back after the missed appointment wondering where we were. Needless today I asked for a refund since we were already headed back home :( I don't know why they never returned my 3 messages ahead of time to confirm as this could have been avoided. read more

I can't tell you how much massages here balance me. I am very very picky when it comes to massages. Cheryl is the best! My lack of flexibility and stiffness gets resolved every time. Beyond the value. I won't let just anyone manipulate my muscles and joints. Nobody should! I'm so glad she opened an office closer to my home. read more

The first time was with Judy- she's amazing. The spa is clean and the receptionists are always very friendly. I had such a good experience that I booked a follow-up appointment. James was literally the best masseuse I've ever had! My personal preference for massages is pretty deep tissue, and I like it when the masseuse knows how to pick apart all the knots in my back. When I first met Cheryl I perceived her as a deep and centered person. As I got into the massage I could see Cheryl found the important spots that needed work. She provided firm, deep and caring work. I have been having problems with pain and I know feel less and with my second scheduled massage I know I will improve even more. Cheryl is fantastic. She has the ability to discover knots/problem areas you didn't even know you had and is strong enough to really work them out (I like a decent amount of pressure). I've never gotten more than 1 or 2 massages a year but have now become a monthly regular. Well worth the money! read more
