I booked a 90 minute massage on line and it was very easy to do. Communication (texts and emails) before my appointment and afterwards was very efficient. My massage with Holly was wonderful. I originally booked a regular massage, but after Holly assessed my body, she recommended I have a sports massage. The spa is clean and the staff are very experienced and educated with different techniques and styles of massage. Parking (street) can be found in front of their spa, if you are lucky, or you can park in the main parking lot. I definitely will come back. We came here a month ago for our one-year anniversary and got the One Hour Couples Massage with hot stones. I've been going to Silver Sea Day Spa for over four years and have consistently had great experiences. I've had several facials and around five or six massages, and every visit has been excellent. Their esthetician is incredibly knowledgeable. During my facial she explained my skin in a way no one ever has before to better understand which products would actually work for my skin. I bought three of the products she recommended and use them regularly. The massages are also exceptional and consistent. The whole spa is always very clean and the ocean-themed is really nice. The owner is genuinely kind and welcoming, and it's always nice chatting with him when I come in. You can tell he really cares about the place and the people who come through the door. My partner and I have been going to this place for years for couples' massages, you can't beat this place's prices and they're not afraid to apply more pressure when asked. The dim lights and music really set the mood as well. I recall that the owner said he gets his masseuses trained out of country in East Asia, I just can't remember if it was really Thailand but their touch is different than if you were to go to an American masseuse, which I'm often disappointed with. It was our recent visit though that the owner plans to close the place possibly by the end of the year because he wants to move on and travel without the worry of managing a business. He does not honor gift cards that were purchased and has no customer service skills. The place reeks of incense and parking is limited. Check out Touch to Heal instead. I was 9 mins late to my appointment due to parking and he refused to take me or reschedule me after he saw I was using a gift cards. Booked for a couples massage (without hot stone) to celebrate a late valentines with my boyfriend. My appointment was 2/17/24 at 1:45pm but we showed up about 5 minutes late. When we got there there was a man in the front and he seemed annoyed we were a little late. We were then greeted by a lady who asked us to follow her into the couples massage room where there are two beds and a curtain in the middle to separate them. I immediately notice how dim the room is and the relaxing music they were playing. The lady was super nice and told us to take off our clothes to what we're comfortable with and to lay on the beds with the blankets covering us. After some time, we notified that we were ready and two people came in: a woman and the older lady. I will now talk about my experience with the older lady as my masseuse and how that compared to my boyfriend's experience. She first asked me what level of how firm I want the massage and what areas I wanted her to focus on. My boyfriend said his masseuse did not ask him any of that in the beginning. I told her medium firmness and to focus on my lower back and hamstrings. To be honest she really didn't focus too much on this areas but mainly my upper back because she noticed a lot of knots I believe. She pressed pretty hard into the massage which did not feel like a medium really but also I should've communicated that with her. Overall the massage went by so fast because it was relaxing. They do apply some sort of lotion on your back when massaging. Near the end of the massage they put hot towels around your back and then on your forehead which felt very nice. Also when you flip around to lay on your back they hold the blankets over their faces to give your privacy. I would come here again but be a lot more communicative about what I want for my massage. I am very curious to try it with the hot stone next time. The total of our 1 hour couples massage turned out to be 160 but I decided to give a 20% tip paid with card which came out to be $192. I don't ever get massages so I'm not sure if that price is considered expensive or reasonable. read more

I'm always happy for Holly to take care of my skin. She's been doing my facials for years, and she doesn't mind telling me when I'm using the wrong products. Today, she told me I have been doing a great job, and that meant a lot. I have been following her advice and recommendations like the sunscreen she suggested years ago. I use it year-round, I'm never without it, and it has made a big difference in my skin. I have used several products in the Yon-Ka line, and have always been pleased. My favorite is the Crystal Clear Facial, it's a mix of deep cleaning, steam, extractions, high frequency and a cooling mask, and lovely music in the background. It comes with a shoulder and neck massage. Make sure to arrive early to have a conversation with Holly's husband. I believe 99 percent of us come extra early to spend time with Dave. He's a humble man who has had a remarkable career and lived an exciting and full life. The sweetest thing of all, Holly and Dave know each one of us! I'm a loyal repeat customer at Silver Sea Day Spa. It all started with a couples massage, using a groupon several years ago. And Holly got me hooked! She's the best masseuse I've ever experienced, targeting every single knot and every tense muscle in my body with the perfect amount of pressure, and giving me an unforgettable experience, servicing areas I didn't even realized needed attention. Since then I've come back to this facility and have received massages from a few different masseuses, and although none of them were as good as Holly (she really is hard to match), they have all been better than professionals at other spas and massage therapy centers throughout the bay area (south bay, SF, east bay) and even at resorts in Europe and Mexico (I've been to MANY places). Fast forward to 2021, and more than a year hiatus (due to the pandemic), this place has not changed... except for a few health safety protocols of course. The reservation system is easy online. The establishment and rooms are clean and inviting, and have a peaceful sea/beach theme, not just decor on the walls, but also the lighting, and the floor mats set up below the face holes on the massage tables (so you can stare at a beautiful beach scene and feel like you're at the ocean as you relax during your massage). The manager/owner is always very friendly and helpful. During my most recent visit, he patiently and clearly explained how to prepare for the massage, how to wear my mask during my massage so that I could breathe comfortably, and to avoid unnecessary contact. They don't provide water or touch your face throughout your massage, which made me feel more comfortable during my session (in the COVID era). My masseuse was Tiffany, and she did a remarkable job, comparable to Holly (and I never thought this would be possible). It was amazing. She focused on parts of my back and neck that needed more attention, and since I've been doing a bit of running, I appreciated the work she did on my legs (calves, hamstrings, and feet). And she was able to apply the firmer pressure I requested, without leaving me feeling sore afterward like some other places that mindlessly bruise you. You can tell that she's skilled and knowledgable about the appropriate stretching and kneading of the body necessary to achieve the most favorable result and maximize relief. I highly recommend Silver Sea Day Spa to anyone looking for a quality massage. Over the years (starting with day one), this place has earned my trust. I'd rather pay full price here anyday (plus a generous tip), than use a groupon anywhere else. read more

What a relaxing spa day! My boyfriend and I wanted to do massage therapy once a month to help relieve stress and pain on our bodies and he made an appointment for Silver Sea Day Spa. He wanted to sign us up for a Wednesday appointment since on Wednesdays, there's a special for couple's hot stone massage! Upon arriving, we were greeted by the front desk person who was funny and helpful. I loved his overall energy. Holly and another therapist greeted us once we were done filling out the forms. Before writing about the massage, I wanted to note how beautiful the decor was! Like its name, the decor was blue and pretty, just like the ocean and it felt as if i was on a tropical island; it definitely made my massage feel serene and peaceful. Holly was my massage therapist and she was amazing. I asked for medium pressure and she did the right amount of pressure that made my pressure points feel great. I noted that my traps and shoulders were tight (office life, boo) and I wanted that to be the main focus of the massage. She really emphasized a lot of pressure and went over the knot so many times which was great. After the massage, my body felt so light and I felt no tightness in my shoulders and traps. My boyfriend even said my posture was a lot better. I went to my physical therapist the next day and she even noticed my traps were not as tight as before! I've only been to one other massage place and it was great but after being here and being massaged by Holly, I can safely say this place is my new favorite! I've been here a few times now, each time was absolutely phenomenal. It's an unassuming place, but truly a hidden gem. As a massage therapist myself, I can assure you that the massage therapists I've had are completely out of this world. Today I had Holly and after my 90 minute sports massage session, I truly felt like I could float. I haven't felt this good for so long as I have chronic neck and shoulder issues. Not only are the massages phenomenal, they're affordable! I do recommend paying with cash or a debit card and bringing cash for the tip. Although the prices are affordable, these MTs work hard and should be tipped accordingly i.e. $20-$30 for an hour, $30-$40 for a 90 minute, etc. That's my own personal/professional opinion. Parking is meh and you have to park in front of the Santa Fe grocery store, but I've never had issues parking and walking around the corner to the spa. Enjoy! read more

Very nice couples massage after a morning of hiking was very nice! I booked early in the week which was how i got a slot for the weekend. They were all booked up when i called to see if we could move it to Sunday bc we were far in Morgan Hill. So we made it anyway. The rooms are spacious with blankets and everything ready. They give u time to get ready and then start the massage. It was a mix of deep tissue massage which i enjoyed even tho i had knots and it was u comfortable at times. My masseuse was thorough and addressed all my problem areas i mentioned and did a good job. I signed up for the sports and thai massage for 90 minutes and it was the best massage I've ever had. Deep tissue massage with very pin pointed pressure that was what I needed. Hubby enjoyed his hot stone massage for the same duration. Tonight we came back for the same couples massage. I found out Bill went back to Thailand so I was able to get Holly as my masseuse (Co owner) of this fine establishment. Holly is crazy good! Explains why she's sooo busy and always booked up. Unfortunately I have to update this review from 5 stars all the way to 1 star to give patrons a heads up. My husband gifted us with a 60 minute couples massage over the phone. The guy tried to set our time earlier for some reason, but we kept our 6:30 time. He then made the effort to call BACK and try to upsell to a 90 minute massage. We made it clear that we would keep our time and our 60 minutes. So we arrive on time and shown to the room. They did the hot stones massage, but I was also kind of disappointed in my massage. She didn't seem confident, and gave very little pressure. Only on some areas did she give some pressure. It was inconsistent. So at the end the lady tells my husband "okay 90 minutes!" Imagine how blindsided we felt. They were all privy to it except us. Why would she make a point to say that? That's not what we agreed on. So we tried to confront it upon payment and the guy was like "Well it's done already. I stayed late for you guys. You feel great doing you?! Next time just book online it's better for everyone..." Holly was assigned as my massage therapist, and she's got the magic touch, I tell you! I was so deeply relaxed that I fell asleep, and apparently I was snoring too. I indicated that I liked medium-hard pressure, and Holly applied the exact amount of pressure. She did a great job focusing on neck, shoulders, and legs. What I liked about Holly's technique was how methodical and intentional it was. She would do these incremental pressure points that sent good chills all the way up to my head.
