Theres a little market in front where you can order a bento box and a few other things as well as pick up some Korean snacks. They've also got a Korean barbecue restaurant in back. I settled on a beef bulgogi bento box. It came with a hefty portion of bulgogi and rice, as well as some chicken, potstickers, a salad and a few other Korean sides. All were delish. I came to Banchan village because there was one I used to go to near my home. It was interesting that their offerings were slightly different than the one I used to go to but this store is also connected to the bbq restaurant. It was buy 1 get one free and was great value for a snack. I got the spam, spicy buldak, bugolgi,and crab. The bugolgi was a very light umami flavor. The spam was most surprising as it resembled a chicken salad with spam as the meat, light and refreshing. The crab is exactly what'd you'd think, imitation crab and rice ball it was simple but yet delicious. The spicy buldak was moderately spicy for my tastebuds but was the most complex flavor profile that had me keep going. read more

Nalsso (the full service restaurant) became Mura. Some time later Banchan Village stopped offering kimbap and the banchan selections were dramatically reduced. I did find a place that is comparable to the old Banchan Village called Banchan. It is located on the west end of the building that houses Greenland Supermarket at Rainbow and Spring Mountain. Sadly, that is 7 miles northeast of Banchan Village making it a longer trek if you live south or west of Banchan Village. read more

I recommend stopping by around 11 am to get the freshest pick of your choice. The person at the front desk was super kind and gave us the 411. Right next to Nalsso bbq so I believe they extended the next suite for the togo banchan korean boxes. Went here for their lunch time togo boxes. I had the bulgogi dochirak and the bulgogi kimbap. He came back with the halmunni (Korean grandmother) that's in charge of making the banchan. She said to give her a call next time and she'll prepare them! How cool is that?? I'm a big banchan fan, and this spot popped up as an early grab-and-go lunch option on the Yelp app. Note that they appear to have a separate storefront but the shop is actually now located inside Nalsso KBBQ - you walk in to a cute convenience store-type layout with a ramen station, refrigerator cases, a warming cupboard and a display of other shelf stable goodies, plus daily specials like dumplings and bento boxes. I went in specifically for the kimbap and at 10:30 it was just coming out fresh, they were just stocking the shelves for the day. If you don't see what you want, just ask - the staff were able to go to the kitchen and grab me a fresh-made bulgogi kimbap (they also have crab), and I was in and out fast - order was $8 and I'd probably add on another side or snack to make it a meal but it worked for my time/travel situation that day. I plan to come try the actual kbbq restaurant here eventually but also keeping in mind to grab japchae, kimchi and other goodies from the grocery area. Nice customer service. Was very quick. I ordered a soy chicken bento and it was made fresh to order, about 10 minutes. There's a display shelf with the bentos you can order that's still available for the day. I almost thought it was the only options left out to purchase since I went in later in the evening. It's almost like the side storage room to the kbbq restaurant next door and they just added a store front. So if you like the neighboring restaurant, you'll like this banchan shop! Soy chicken bento was ok. Not the most flavorful nor were the sides that's included. I really liked the (2) potstickers though. Cucumber kimchi might not have fermented long enough, it seemed to lack flavor. The spicy shredded radish was decent. I come here once a week. It might be an addiction but to have Korean BBQ meats easily available makes it hard for me to resist. Pricing is decent for what it is. Obviously Korean food is on the pricier side. I like coming around right when it opens, like 1030ish because the japchae and the kimbops are freshly made at that time. Everything I've ever bought has been delish. The place is quite small inside so I wouldn't bring your whole family of 20 in there if you know what I mean. There's always someone around to help you and I've made friends with this lady when I go in the mornings. Okay if you go to a place twice in a month..it definitely deserves all the stars in the world. This hidden gem is a great place for to-go orders. It is very small in there so it's not a sit-down restaurant. It's literally pick up and go! But it works for people like me that don't have time during the weekday. Service was quick and friendly. They have prepared food to go, Korean bbq meats for your homemade KBBQ. They also have all different kinds of side dishes. They can also cook you bibimbap or Galbi burger. The bibimbap was good but didn't have much protein but egg. It was good though! My favorites here is Spam and Bulgogi Gimbap. Delicious. There isn't too much rice in these which I like because I hate when people make sushi or Gimbap with plenty of rice. Good amount of meat! They also have crab and tuna too. Prepackaged meats, frozen foods, instant ramyeon, meal kits and sauces are also available. They sell out of certain items so be sure to get there early. We thought they were all out of Kimbap but they had more in the back. When I saw Banchan Village on Yelp, I decided to go and get some kimchi which I had been missing. I used to get it at the buffet at Red Rock Casino but that's no more. When I walked in, I was surprised at how small the space was but they have a lot of goods in this space. I went to the cold case and looked for kimchi. I found it on the right side and I bought a 2 pound container. I also got a crab sandwich. Checkout was quick and the woman was very pleasant. I brought my goodies home. The sandwich was four small ovals of egg filled with rice and topped with the crab. The rice to crab ratio was high but it was good. The kimchi was great! It was made from Napa cabbage and was in whole leaf form. I had to cut the cabbage to more manageable size for eating. There was enough for several days and I made it last. Spicy and full of flavor, this is a must get. Dinner that night was the sandwich and some kimchi. A good combination. Getting there is easy. I get off the freeway at Sunset and go west for a block. Tuna Kimbap | The sesame-flavored rice wrapped with different pickled vegetables and tuna was overall flavorful. The amount of tuna could've been more. There were various types of kimbap, including tuna, spam, and crab. Cuts of meat for grilling were also available. Squid, perilla leaves, pan-fried tofu, stir-fried zucchini, fish cakes, and pickled vegetables were among the banchans, just to name a few. There were also a couple bento boxes and ice cream. FYI They are updating some things in the restaurant/store so there is a wait time when picking up food. If you're in a rush, maybe wait a few weeks for things to get oiled back up again. But as always, service was impeccable, above and beyond to make accommodations even with the changes. I am loving the improved layout in the front and the updated assortment of Korean goodies, like the Flamin' Lime Turtle Chips and the broth packets. This made me sad because I travelled here since its the only local banchan place open on the holy day. They have frozen items, banchan in the cold case, & prepared food out on display. Banchan Village is one of my go-to spots for stocking my freezer with frozen premium meat. I love always have beef belly or beef brisket in my freezer ready to be tossed into a recipe. The meat from Banchan Village is high quality and affordable. The only thing is whenever I come in for frozen meat, I end up leaving with a full bag of stuff as everything is always so delicious. I always leave with a kimbap and a couple side dishes to take home. They recently just expanded as well so there are a lot more options. I haven't tried their to go menu yet, but will defintely be back to try it. read more

They have a lot of options of food items you could take Togo and cook it at home if you would like. It's a really small store, so it's just a place to pick up food and eat it somewhere else. But the service was quick and the employee was very helpful. They took the time to answer my question which was amazing! I bought the beef bulgogi Togo and some meat to cook at home. So I found Banchan Village by mistake scrolling on Instagram and saw that it was really close to me, like I could stop there on the way home from work. So I followed them and made a point to stop by if I could the next day. It was a Thursday and I got out a little early so I thought I would stop by. Located in the Walgreens shopping plaza on South Fort Apache and Sunset I noticed it was directly beside Nalsso Korean BBQ. When I entered I realized it was actually an extension of the Nalsso! Not much room to move but just enough to see all of the precut meats that you can buy to cook up on your own at home. I would definitely come back for some bulgogi or spare ribs. They had a mini freezer section for things like mandu and other dumplings of sorts. There was a small ice cream cooler with dessert treats. There was another walk of refrigerated sides including pickled everything and of course kimchee. On the shelving is where I found what I wanted: gimbap! I found some bulgogi gimbap and they had a crab gimbap that looked delicious. I didn't see that they had japchae so I asked. He told me if I wanted it to just say so and he would go into the kitchen and pack some up for me! I ordered one for myself and one for my friend. He was back in under two minutes with some warm packaged glass noodles. When I got home I was excited to try the gimbap. It had been a while since I had it and boy, was it nostalgic. It was so tasty, soft, and fresh! The japchae was so sesame-slick and yet with that peppery kick that keeps you wanting more. I'm super stoked that this place is so close and will definitely stop by again because it is so convenient, speedy, high quality, and reasonably priced. I guess the next stop is Nalsso! read more

This is my favorite Banchan slot legit first the food is great this is a low key meal prep hack for me on busy weeks when I need to not be the only one cooking for me from the first time I came the customer service was great and super sweet by the second time I came in she remembered me and the next time I called it in and she remembered me over the phone. Can't beat that plus as a veggie forward human they were super accommodating in making a kimbap special for me and there are lots of veggie friendly options to take home Lastly the playlist is always fire it's giving like..... early 2000s pop R&B vibes and I always find myself singing along.
