I decided to order collagen masks on Amazon that said Korean formula. 4 masks in and a super dry, red face later, I saw on the back in small print made in ROC. Ugh. Seriously Amazon? Never again. I'm sorry I cheated on you with Amazon, Greenland. I learned my lesson. I put 30 masks in my basket and headed for the deli. 30 masks?! Yep. They are only 89 cents, but here's the thing. Korean beauty products are held to a higher production quality standard than US beauty products. And that means I'm not going to have an allergic reaction. ROC means the ones I got from Amazon were actually made in China. Their standards are nowhere near Korean standards. Like I said- lesson learned. So I got $30 worth of masks and $30 worth of deli, and a couple Monster energy drinks for Adam. I have the ingredients to make my own cucumber salad at home, but Greenland's is so much better. I got yeolmu putnaechu- which tastes like bok choy kimchi to me. I grabbed stir fried fish cakes, which are long flat strips and are so sesame yummy. I got soybean sprouts, Korean glass noodle stir fry and kimbap. These are all serving size containers. If you love all of the little appetizers you get at a Korean restaurant - that's what these are. And they are wonderful. Take a look at the photos I took of the vegetables. They are super fresh and Greenland has some harder to find options. I looked for Asian pears, but they must not be in season. If you love Korean food, you need to go to Greenland. It's the cornerstone of our neighborhood in Chinatown. read more

Way back when, BHM (before H mart) this market seemed to always be packed, today, I just got the impression the market was tired, cashiers standing around, the fish and meat counter attendants kind of lounging on chairs along the back walls etc. I mean the shelves were stocked, decent selection, but the store just looked worn out... it's never been a real cheap market and I've always enjoyed shopping there and like their house where section there was just something about the atmosphere.... Definitely like comparing a flagship market with the neighborhood bodega or corner store. Good selection of Korean items, noodles, sauces, peppers, you name it.. but just not as lively or glitzy as before. The little bakery and other concerns outside the store were empty. I've been shopping here for many years and even while living in far away Henderson I would still make the drive. All the standard Korean groceries and foods. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but Korea isn't down the street. The classic "Kimbap" (like a Korean California roll) has always been a must buy and was $4.99 for many years. Price has jumped to $7.99 and sadly the quality and flavor is hit and miss. One day it's perfect and the next time it's falling apart, missing key ingredients or just filled with a bunch of junk and bland. Yes, I will be back, but only going to buy the staples I need. I had to get few things from Greenland and noticed how extra well organized than usual. I overheard about the owner has changed in last few months. We usually come for side dishes and ingredients for seaweed soup. I couldn't find my usual brand but I picked different brand instead. They had good selection of bread rolls and frozen fish shaped sweet bean snack. But produce wasn't as freshest. Cashier was polite and overall my experience at Greenland was good. I've gotten my rice cooker here and they have so many different kinds of rice to pick from They really have a variety of brand for everything you can think of... Their meat section also has a great variety of cuts for grilling, hot pot or many other dishes. The service here is pretty good but here and there you may run into an employee that wont go the extra mile to help you find an item. Recently was there to buy white pepper powder and couldn't seem to find it after searching for it 20mins. I decided to ask the cashier that was available and she told me to check aisle 2, went back to her since didn't find it there sent me to aisle 9 by then i was already frustrated since its a spice that shouldn't be difficult to find since it's widely used in asian cuisine. Then I decided to ask a green eyed gentleman that was also working the register area and he went out of his way to look for it and couldn't find any either. He went to ask his co-worker and he said she told him they don't have any. I was appalled since she had me looking in different aisles. On top of that I was shocked that an asian store their capacity doesn't carry white pepper powder. So don't come to this store if you are looking for it because you will not find it and not even a tag that they carry that item. I went back to the cashier to checkout and she asked if i found it and told her, you guys said dont have any and told her how's that possible that a korean supermarket not carry such an item. No response. In the end of it all, they will still be a store I will be visiting because they do carry other things that I may need if I am not close to HMart. located inside of the korean town plaza, upon walking in it gives off the impression of entering a small mall, there is a food court with numerous korean restaurant options, clothing-korean skin care stores and then of course the green land supermarket. their fruits seems to be very fresh and i do like the fact that the fruits/veggies that come "pre packaged" were already sorted and washed for quality guaranteed. Plenty of korean snacks, pre made dishes, ect. Personally i wouldn't shop for my meats here as i personally like leaner cuts rather than fatty, i didn't seem to find many lean cuts that i like but that's okay as this place has everything else! Overall this is actually a nicely located supermarket, that i would personally come back to if i am seeking a mini adventure while grocery shopping or looking for a nice sake that normally wouldn't be located anywhere else. read more

Love this store so much! I try to get here every time I'm in Las Vegas. Wide selection of Korean snacks, housewares, kimchi, meats, canned goods. I love looking through the housewares dept. for gadgets not usually found in American kitchenware stores. Asia has some of the best gadgets! Got another stainless cup and Korean rice bowl with lid and another pair of house slippers. Also picked up a water bottle with a capped pour/sip spout for use in the car. Tons of free parking in private lot. There's a food court just inside the entrance and a bakery kiosk in the center foyer. Clothing & beauty stores are also tenants here. Pleasantly surprised at the amount of Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese options among the Korean food. The layout isn't incredible, but the Ramen choices alone will be enough to satisfy almost anyone. The drink selection is also fairly large. The sale prices are pretty decent, though I wish the frozen food had a bit more variety. Overall we had a fun time walking around and checking out the big stacks of items. The best value is the multipacks of snacks and sweets! read more

This Asian market is always our first choice. Chinatown is often too crowded on any day of the week, so I prefer to drive 5 more minutes west and head over to the Greenland Supermarket. It is located at the Korean Town Mall, at the corner of Spring Mountain and Rainbow. They carry a good variety and several items that are hard to find elsewhere, even at other Asian grocers. My favorite find here is the YamaMotoYama brand teas. They carry this brand's original and updated packaging tea boxes for extremely reasonable prices. They also carry premium tapioca pearl, lots of bulgogi, mabo tofu, and takoyaki/yakisoba/okonomiyaki sauces. This grocery store has it all. Plus, produce, meat, and fish department. If you are looking for a true Asian market, this is your place. Just be aware that the aisles are small and can be crowded with boxes slightly blocking. Also, use caution and check dates on the hot/ready prepared food items at the back of the store. read more

Been in Vegas for almost 2 years. Worst Korean Market I've ever been too (Vegas, LA, pretty states to countries). I'll just shop at SF and 168, and wait to visit family in LA to load up on any frozen/other Korean products. And just go to local restaurants, to shops for pre-made quick food to keep around at home. Pro: The food court is affordable, fast food fun though with Sakura Sushi and BBear. Only 2 places we had the chance to run by so far. To me, Korean markets are known for freshness in produce, and processed/commercialized items. Maybe my expectations are too high? Not enough customers to keep things up? The pre-made food is just horrible quality, not worth trying. We haven't visited after attempting to figure out what they specialize in. Gave up. Food Court we've tried so far: - Sakura Sushi $8.99 Las Vegas roll is our favorite quick, cheap sushi to-go. Probably cheapest special roll in the area. $10 minimum to use credit card, or else cash is taken. - BBear with Boongeo-pang (Korean fish-shaped pastry) with many items that's also vegan and gluten-free. $4 Sweet Taro Uber Paste Boongeo-pang is must!! Grabbed 2 boxes of the turtle chips that were on sale. 2 packs of taro & strawberry milk boxes also on sale. Stopped by the banchan area. I crave their kimbap. I tend to prefer kimbap w/ fish cake & imitation crab. I was pleasantly surprised many of the banchan prices are very reasonable. Get this! They had fresh kimchee! There are so many banchan varieties today and everything looks so fresh! For course I grabbed so many. Taste testing right now. Kimbap, it's all gone into my stomach. Fried perilla leaf jeon filled with japchae is tasty. A little oily, I would let them hang out on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Japchae, good, spinach good, aster good, the fresh kimchee...the flavor is missing something.....fresh naps leaf kimchee, there's the kimchee flavor! Cucumber kimchee, eh. There's a huge selection of ramen, different kinds of noodles and single serving microwavable rice. They also have prepared side dishes (banchan in Korean). The isles are pretty tight and most merchandise are just stacked up on top of each other. But it is an interesting shop especially for foodies. That is why I keep coming back even though at times the only things I buy are junk food. They have tons of chips, hard candies, gummies, cookies, 3 in 1 coffees, teas etc. Still one of the better asian groceries. read more
