Waited until the second visit in 2 weeks to leave a review, and they did not disappoint. I cannot speak on behalf of the other reviews, but this is my take. Four words. Terri Burger, Saimin, Green River, Guri Guri. The terri burger was made just the way I hoped for as taking that first bite reminded me of Diners Drive In back home. It was so to my satisfaction, that I ordered it with 2 patties. Then there's the saimin. Also, reminded me of the the drive in spots in Hawaii. That's all I can say. We ordered the 3 pieces of garlic as well. Savory, good flavor to It. Green River. I grew up on this drink so it definitely took me back when I found out they had this. Think of lime shaved ice. I finally went to try out this restaurant. Did not get the ambience I was looking for. Space is actually great. Didn't feel the welcome vibe. Server was polite and friendly. I ordered the teri beef combo, side gau gee and side spaghetti salad. So, spaghetti salad was overpowering with the onions. French fries were cold, probably sitting under a heating lamp for how long. It's a Hawai'i thing so you won't find a Saimin Stand in Japan. Saimin was made up during the plantation days when all the worker would get together for lunch. The noodles actually came from the Chinese. The other ethnic groups added to the dashi or broth. So if you're in Vegas looking for some Saimin with BarBQ burger, Teri burger or old style BarBQ stick this is the place!! My noodles were cooked just right not over cooked. Great tasting dashi not salty. You gotta get BarBQ stick or BarBQ burger. I got the regular BarBQ burger but my wife's deluxe was better. Our waitress "Lash" was really nice and friendly. We have been here several times now and I do like the old school Hawaii diner vibes of this place. Service has definitely improved since they first opened. We ate here during opening week, and I remember it being very chaotic. Service was slow, they were struggling to keep up with the crowds and all the orders. There weren't even enough clean cups, so they had to give customers bottled water with no extra charge. It was the first week, so it was understandable that they didn't anticipate being extremely busy and needed to work stuff out. Now that the hype has died down, mostly everything has improved. Sometimes the kitchen staff still makes mistakes, like not paying attention to the no onion requests. I have never been a huge fan of Saimin, so it's my least favorite on the menu. However, I do like their Mazemin and Teri Burger. The Teri Burger looks like a small burger, but it is very delicious and filling. My go to is the Teri Burger with cheese Combo. The garlic chicken was not bad, but I had better at another Hawaiian restaurant. Love the Goodie Freeze since I used to eat that when I was a kid. Never tried it, but my husband likes the Loco Moco here. Pretty affordable meals here, considering everything being so expensive right now. read more

Cute little spot in the southwest side of Vegas off Rainbow near Blue Diamond that has the feel of Hawai'i style saimin stand. The aunty at the front counter was nice as always and food came out super quick. I ordered their promoted bucket of chicken 20/ $15. I thought it was wings from the photos online BUT they are nuggets of chicken. Nonetheless these are some DELICIOUS nuggets of chicken! The Saimin didn't have much flavor, I added shoyu to give it a little extra something. For $15 (large) the quantity and quality was just not there. The burgers were good, I liked the char, extra teriyaki sauce made it better. Kinda small, I recommend getting two to fill you up. Overall, I think for the quality of the saimin it's a bit pricey, but the garlic chicken and burger (by itself) is fairly priced. Getting the green river was the real winner. First time here. Saw it as I was driving by on the way home, and figured I could get something here for lunch. I went inside and saw you could place a To-Go order. I ultimately decided on the large order of Garlic Chicken. Total was $17.17 ($15.17 food $2.00 tip). The food came out quick, maybe less than 5 minutes. Upon getting home, this plate lunch came with 8 pieces of Korean Chicken bites. I really wish I had 9 or 10 pieces just cause there was so much rice. Lines were crazy when they first opened, but now it's settled down, so it's easy to pop in anytime. Except for Mondays, when they're closed. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the Teri sticks that were very small, dry and lacked flavor. Walked in on a Wednesday evening and immediately got a table, we must've walked in at the perfect time because we've had friends saying they always needed to wait for a seat! The restaurant filled up shortly after we sat. This restaurant reminded me of Shige's Saimin Stand in Wahiawa, definitely bringing back memories of my childhood. The one main difference - THEY HAVE FRENCH FRIES! LOL. Hooray!! A restaurant that offers authentic Saimin! My family and I just had to go visit this restaurant as soon as possible! On a Friday evening, we ended up stopping by Aina Saimin & Diner for dinner! Aina Saimin & Dinner is located near South Rainbow Blvd and W Cougar Avenue. It's in a shopping plaza with limited parking spots. We did find one spot available though Friday evening! The current hours for the restaurant are the following Wednesday - Thursday: 11:00 A.M - 10:00 P.M Friday - Saturday: 11:00 A.M - 12:00 A.M Sunday: 11:00 A.M - 8:00 P.M Closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Saimin is a noodle soup dish. It's popular in Hawaii and is considered very similar to Ramen. It uses thin, white egg noodles in a clear broth! There are not many Saimin restaurants in Las Vegas, so when we saw this restaurant opening up in Southwest Las Vegas, we just had to try it out! When we walked inside the restaurant, all of the tables were in use, so we ended up eating with the seats open at the bar style seating near the kitchen. Service was fast! Menus were provided from the team members and drinks were offered. I ended up getting a Sprite, while waters were provided too. Looking over the menu, we ended up ordering the following Wonton Min: Saimin - topped with char siu, spam, kamaboko, egg, bok choy, green onion with a side of 3 Wontons. Loco Moco with scrambled eggs. We didn't wait too long for our order, less than 20 minutes. The Saimin was outstanding! The broth was so flavorful! It wasn't too heavy and quite light! The ingredients were fresh and yummy! The noodles were great! Unfortunately, the loco moco was cold for some reason. We still ended up eating it, but we did let the team know at Aina Saimin. It's hard to write this but here goes, This place is putting out really good food but they have lots to work on. The place is small and cozy they have a counter up front try and sit there as you get faster service and more attention. The saimin is really good reminds me of back home old school saimin like palace saimin or shiges. The noodles are legit and the broth is tasty. The food here is all super good the problem is the wait times and the service is not really up to par yet. The girls are hard workers and don't anything away from them but sometimes it just too much for them, by that I mean they are super busy out front. They utilize the yelp app for checking in but it doesn't work I mentioned this to a girl working there and she said they know about it. So glad I tried Aina Saimin & Diner. This spot reminds me so much of Shige's in Wahiawa and Shiro's in Waimalu. Comfort food realz. When I heard about Aina Saimin opening up, I knew I needed to give the a try. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. We opt for the 1st table available so we sat on the counter. We were watching the servers and all the food that was coming out of the kitchen. Looked so ono. It was unfortunate that we were sat and ordered before a few patrons but they got their food before us. I truly believed it was the server who took long to put our order in. Thanks to the Japanese looking girl who I asked about our food. She handled it quickly and we finally got our dishes that we were waiting for. They served my Saimin, BBQ Burger and BBQ Stick but we had to wait longer (Almost done eatimg Saimin and Burger) and no fries, gau gee and salad. Food: Small Saimin Crispy Gau Gee with Hot Mustard Deluxe BBQ Burger BBQ Stick French Fries Spaghetti Salad The BBQ Burger was ono. Next time, I would like to taste the Teri Burger Sandwhich. I could've done without the gaugee only cuz the filling was next to nothing. Garlic chicken was very good; saucy -- but, a good sauce not too sweet. Chicken itself was juicy yet crunchy. Not burnt. This place offers such great local hawaiian comfort food for, in my opinion, a great price!! We loved how crispy and flavorful it was!! It reminded us of Mitsu-Ken back home and iykyk that's THE spot for garlic chicken on O'ahu. The Wonton Min is also not to be slept on cause best believe on the days when I get need a "hug" from home this is what I'll be getting!! The broth is light, the noodles are bouncy and the meat is perfectly tender!! We came on a Sunday and were seated pretty quickly but, I'm gonna say that was because my dad was so excited we got there 20 minutes early and he started a line outside The staff didn't seemed phased by it though because they knocked that line out almost immediately. Only heads up I'll say is that the seating is good but does fill up rather quickly so I'd keep in mind that if you have a smaller party it's best to sit at the bar cause you'll get seated faster. Teriyaki deluxe burger- 5/5 it reminded me of the teriyaki burger from the famous Mahaloha burger chain in Hawaii. They've mastered this here, and managed to keep the patty moist and delicious without overpowering teriyaki flavors. Meat stick- 3/5 it was OK Fried wonton- 5/5. It was so juicy and amazing. A great crunch to it. Garlic chicken- 5/5. Best I've ever had so far in my lifetime. Loco loco- 3/5 it was good, but nothing to write home about Spaghetti salad- 5/5. How they make it taste so good with spaghetti? It reminded of the cold spaghetti they used to have on the kids menu when I was a kid. Except, this is a Mac salad version. Walked in around 7pm which seems to be their prime time for dinner, which is expected as it was a Friday night. We waited for about 30-40mins, it was a busy night. Customer service was great as they kept us updated of wait. As we got seated, we were given our waters and menus right away and ordered since we already knew what we wanted. The food came out quickly. My husband and I ordered the garlic chicken, recommend this for sure! We also got the combos for the Teri burgers with crinkle fries and a drink, spaghetti salad, wonton min and goodie dessert. Everything was good, felt like we were eating in a small family business in HI which is what they brought to the 9th island. If you're from Hawaii & looking for some comfort food, this is your spot! They haven't had their grand opening yet but they're doing soft opening right now (idk what their hours are but I came at around 5:30pm). We ordered a Teri burger deluxe, wonton min, & regular saimin. The Teri burger was a solid burger, flavorful & the buns were nice & soft. The wonton min & saimin tasted so nostalgic! No brainer had to come and try the saimin since we moved away from hawaii we always be craving a good saimin. It was a Sunday night we waited about 15 minutes to get seated. I love how the menu is only double sided straight to the point and kept the focus on saimin and their burgers. We ordered the large saimin and large wonton min. We had to try the Teri burger with cheese and everything on top. The bbq sticks and the crispy gau gee. Everything we ordered was great!!!! No left overs the large bowl of both saimin was not a lot. The only flavor they had for the guri guri was the lemon lime it was 5/10 I really wanted the strawberry flavor. Im definitely coming back. The restrooms were clean both men and women had their own toilets. The service was good our server was kinda slow but that's okay overall it met my expectations for really good saimin like home. read more
