    Garlic Chicken (Full) Rice (Full)
    Karissa M.

Solid value for your bucks! They have daily specials every weekdays and offer mochi donut desserts. I've gone a couple of times during brunch and dinner time; both were busy, so expect some wait. They have one person taking orders and packing the food, but hoping they can get some additional hands soon. There's maybe four dining tables and some bar stools to dine in. The portions are plentiful and can be shareable. The garlic chicken is good, I like how they top the rice with furikake. Not a fan of the potato/spaghetti salad, but I think you can swap it for more rice.

When your hungry and your stomach is completely controlling the scrolling ! Here we sit at Paina Cafe. Oh my the world is good again we did the whole ordering process with the support of the kind cashier . We opted for something that's not on the menu. It's a bowl, ask for number 16. It has tofu and chicken for us to share . They make mochi donuts here too and they are available all day long. The donuts are available as long as they are available throughout the rest of the day. We had the strawberry shortcake mochi. Oh it was delicious! Let's get to eating now . Mmmm, the pangs of hunger are coming and we need to feed.

Paina Cafe, this review is way overdue. From the island style decor, music, and employees to the consistently great tasting food, I don't know what's not to love about this place! Today, I walked in to pick up a bucket of their 20 piece chicken for $15. There are two flavors: the garlic and the salt&vinegar. I opted for the garlic and it was so good.

They have creamsicle flavor mochi donuts. Drop what you're doing and get here!

They have creamsicle flavor mochi donuts! Drop what you're doing and get here! I stopped in for a poke bowl and now I can't stop thinking about the creamsicle mochi donuts. Is this new?

The places you'd find when you're food scrolling on tiktok. I was trying to find a really cool place to go eat, and I ran across this tick tock of people frying chicken coating it with salt and vinegar and putting it in a bucket. They claimed 20 pieces for $15. And it was pretty local so I knew I had to go check it out. The good news was I had been to this particular area before when I went to early birds last week. So was pleasantly surprised when I saw this place located in the same shopping center. When you walk in, it looks fairly deceiving as it is very clean and very plain. They have some cool wall murals, and pretty basic seating, but overall it looks like a clean and comfortable place to eat. The menu has so many food options for poke bowls to fried chicken, as well as mochi donuts. I was pretty fixated on the 20 pieces of fried chicken for $15 so I went with that with a couple mochi donuts on the side to have for breakfast the next day. I got to tell you, that's a lot of chicken for the money. The breading was absolutely perfect, and although the chicken could use some extra vinegar it was very very tasty. These are like the chicken nuggets you always wanted but didn't know existed. I would eat these all the time if I could. The mochi donuts were absolutely delicious. Have the perfect amount of mochi feel when you bite into them and the icings were on point. I can't wait to go back there and try the poke bowls and other things on the menu. You should definitely add this to your list of places to go check out when you're in Las Vegas. Bottom line? You could not go wrong with the salt and vinegar chicken bucket. Definitely go check this place out if you are looking for something different and delicious to try.

So many tickets and food needing to be packed.

Food was good but service was not. This place is where you order, pay, and tip before you get your food. I tipped $5 but regretted tipping. It's not the employees' fault. The place is just too busy. I feel like the management needs to hire more people so that the quality of service and wait time improves. For example, they need one employee solely to pack up food and one employee at the register. We dined at the restaurant but saw the tables were dirty. I don't think they have time to wipe down tables. One guy waited forever for his food so we felt bad for him. I want to return to this restaurant. Give this place a try. Food and price is good.

Great little Hawaiian Restaurant so many here on the 9th Island. Small restaurant with very limited seating and when seating is not available have a plan B the car 5.2026

The customer service is always great here and they are pretty fast at getting your food. The spam musubi was very good! I tried the inari for the first time this go around and was not a big fan. It was very soggy and drenched in sauce. The tuna did not have much flavor. I don't think I would order again.

Late post from our visit on 3/16/2025. Cute little shop which reminds me of home Good food with a reasonable price range. We love ordering their food and mochi donuts to go and this was the first time I've dined in. Paina Cafe is a reliable go-to spot if you are missing home and need some local grinds.

    Michelle C.

I walked to Paina Cafe after feeling slightly disappointed with a beef curry bun from Pullman Bread close by and was hoping they'd still have Spam musubi available--luckily, they did. Ordering was fast and easy, and the spam musubi was thoroughly enjoyable and really hit the spot. Paina Cafe feels like a reliable go-to, especially if you're craving mochi donuts, Inari, or musubi. Service was friendly and efficient. This location is smaller than the Spring Mountain location, which is the one I usually visit. Overall, I'm glad people in this area have access to a Paina Cafe. It's a solid, dependable option for a quick, satisfying bite.

Build your own - Spicy Tuna and Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke

This was my first time trying Paina Cafe, and it did not disappoint. They have several specialty bowls, or you can create your own. They also offer poke to purchase by the weight if you don't want a bowl. The fish was delicious and they offer a very generous portion. I dropped my rating down to 4 stars because in my opinion, when creating the Build Your Own bowl, additional toppings should not be charged for. 70 cents for each additional topping you add seems a little expensive, especially if you're just adding nori shreds or green onions. It can add up very quickly. Other than that, their specialty bowls are delicious and offer a good amount of toppings for a reasonable price. The fish tastes nice and fresh. Will be coming back when in the area!

Stopped by to pick up a dozen of Mochi Donuts. Place is decent size with decent amount of seating. Service was great! Loved the cute box they use! We brought the donuts for desserts to a dinner- everyone enjoyed the donuts and devoured it. Definitely were a hit!

I love love love the inari from this place. Each bite packs a bunch of flavor, im hungry thinking about it again lol. I got the spicy salmon as the topping but they can also switch it up if you want a different topping. My go to place for a light snack ! The service is quick and it's fairly quiet the times I've been in.

I even noticed small drips on the wall that looked like sauce stains, so yeah...not the kind of spot you come to for ambiance. BUT. The food? Absolutely makes up for it. I saw a steady stream of DoorDash drivers coming in and out the entire time, which already told me this place is popular for a reason and after eating, I get it. The food is really good. Like, seasoned all the way through, flavorful, not dry, not bland everything just hits. The chicken was juicy and tender with that perfect grilled flavor, and the portions are generous. The rice was fluffy, the mac salad was creamy and balanced, and everything together just felt like a solid, satisfying plate. No shortcuts, no watered down flavor, just good food done right. Vegas has a LOT of Hawaiian BBQ spots, but hands down...this is one of the best, if not the best I've had out here. So yeah, don't come here expecting vibes. Come here because you want a plate that's actually worth your money.

So there were No ribs today and they don't know when or if another location they will have them?? Spam musubi is premade but did not look great once opened. My son took one bite and said it was disgusting- No musubi sauce and tasted like it has been sitting for a while. Like just make them fresh if they're gonna sit all day. I also decided to haphazardly order a very sad and pathetic side of Mac salad that didn't taste like anything. 2 OG musubi and a side of Mac salad for $11 that went straight into the garbage. We Debated coming back on a different day on this LV trip to see if it's an off day but not sure I can after seeing how dirty it was and that they are ok to sell crap to loyal customers. This is so sad and disappointing! Hope they can bounce back because the food truly was so awesome.

The Kalua pig was a very tasty version. One of the better ones I've had in town for my taste. Not too smoky, felt like it was roasted for a long time. The meat was still intact but tender. Ribs were as they always are. The only thing today, was that the boxes didn't feel as full as they normally do. Only got 4 ribs today and they weren't all that meaty. The pig dish wasn't full to the brim either. Also, prices have gone up from the menu, so seeing higher prices (totally understandable) and less food was a little disappointing. Frank's macaroni salad wasn't the absolute best I've had, but it was genuinely good--surprisingly better than Zippy's, a true Hawaii staple. The loco moco was excellent: the eggs were perfectly cooked, bright yellow and so delicate they looked like they'd break if you stared at them too long. You get two juicy hamburger patties and two generous scoops of rice, making it easy to stretch into two solid meals. The spam musubi was fresh and still warm (we ordered right at opening at 11 AM and picked it up by 11:30). They added a touch of teriyaki sauce between the rice and spam, which I'm usually not a fan of, but it actually worked really well here. The salty, grilled spam still shone through. The spot itself is a classic Hawaiian BBQ cafe--simple, no-frills, with a mix of sit-down tables and to-go boxes flying out the door. You could tell they had just opened but were already deep into the lunch rush. Even so, service was impressively smooth. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
