Molcajete $39.00 Plate with carne asada, grilled chicken, chorizo, carnitas, shrimp refried beans and shredded cheese.

The atmosphere here is great. Lively and fun, yet quiet enough to gather with friends and family and have great conversations. Service was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Drinks were excellent, made perfectly and well balanced. The table side guacamole was fun to watch and even more fun to taste. I had the Molcajete Plate with carne asada, grilled chicken, chorizo, carnitas, shrimp refried beans and shredded cheese. It all comes in a stone pot and all the flavors blend together in this meat like smoothie. It has a nice kick but not too spicy. The flour tortillas with the table side guacamole is the perfect vehicle to bring these flavors to your mouth.

A lazy weekend afternoon had us venturing into Warren for lunch at La Piñata Mexican Grill & Bar. According to their website, they have 2 locations in Rhode Island and one in New Hampshire. The patio was closed for the season, so we dined inside, and were happy we did as the interiors were welcoming and trendy. Meals begin with complimentary chips and salsa, which is always appreciated as a nice way to start off a meal. While the chips were great, the salsa was somewhat bland and could have used some kick in the flavor department. We weren't overly hungry and were just looking for something to tie us over until dinner, so kept it simple by going with the tacos and quesadillas (both chicken). The quesadillas were underwhelmingly average, as they used a single mozzarella cheese rather than a blend of Mexican cheeses, which made them somewhat bland and lacking in flavor. We found the tacos to be a lot more flavorful and enjoyable, so they redeemed the meal. We did find it a bit odd that the taco section of the menu didn't have chicken tacos, but did find them on the kids menu, so wound up ordering from there. They really could use a lunch menu to drive business and offer smaller portions for those that don't want a heavy or more expensive lunch. There was a bit of a language barrier as our waiter didn't have a great command of English, but he was friendly and got our order right, so all was well in the end. While we found the overall meal to be fairly average and slightly lacking in flavor, we wouldn't mind returning to La Piñata if we were in the area again and craving Mexican food, but it would likely be for dinner (since no lunch menu).

La piñata has a fabulous outdoor patio, and tons of seating inside. The food was pretty good, but the service was very lackluster. The day we went in we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Even so we waited about 20 minutes for someone to come by just for water. We kept trying to make eye contact looking over at the bar, But the server was very focused on changing the playlist for the music on his phone. It took nearly 2 hours in total for us to eat there which was pretty intense for just lunch. We had to continuously get up to find a server if we needed any water or chips because we'd go nearly half and hour without seeing him. I would maybe try it again if we had a free afternoon.

Such a cute restaurant with an amazing patio. There's drink, taco, and combo specials for specific days during the week and free chips and salsa which is super nice. I really enjoyed my meal, I'll definitely be back!

We dropped in before a party for a drink and a small bite. We opened the door and a fiesta hit us in the face! Live mariachi music, a lively crowd, it was great! We sat at the bar and got a couple of drinks, both were very good. The bartender was working her butt off. Killing it. At one point I spilled my margarita, breaking the glass. The servers cleaned it up like pros. The bartender wanted to make me another drink, like it was her fault. We only got a couple of tacos, both were good, not the best, but good. The service and atmosphere was great. I'll definitely go back to try more food.

This restaurant unquestionably ticks off all the boxes for a great dining experience. I loved the spacious and colorful outdoor seating area. The service is top-notch, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable time. The margaritas are nothing short of amazing, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the meal. But that's not all - the chips and salsa are a true highlight, starting the meal with a burst of flavor and setting high expectations for what's to come. And rest assured, those expectations are not only met but exceeded. The food itself was amazing. I definitely recommend the shrimp fajitas. Will def come back.

I wanted so badly to LOVE this place, but sadly, it was just allright. Kinda let down. We had a bit of a wait, so we bellied up to the bar and I ordered a Cocorita margarita... It was pretty lousy so I nursed it till we got our table. I then decided to try a Watermelon margarita and I have to say that one was much better! The chips and salsa were allright. I'm so used to getting thin, crisp, warm chips and these were nothing of the sort... They were cold, a bit on the thick side and a tad hard. Salsa was ok. For dinner, I had the Pollo a la Crema... It was pretty good (though you could really taste the roux) The rice and refried beans were flavorless and boring. They definitely need a heavier hand with the spices in the kitchen! So my thoughts overall... The indoor decor was spot on! The music was great! Outdoor decor was super cute! Drinks were inconsistent. Food was lacking flavor. Chips should have been served warm. Service was a tad slow. AND... I don't know if we will come back again!

This one is hard to rate... The good was awesome, but the bad was not so much... The decor was very nice; traditional Mexican restaurant colors with, of course, plenty of piñatas (perhaps a plethora of piñatas!). We were promptly greeted from a backwards facing hostess station. There was a short wait for a table, so we decided to go to the bar to have a drink. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and found it to be quite blah and almost watered down. By the time I was finished our table was ready. After being seated it seemed like a fairly considerable wait before the waiter came over. Thankfully we had chips and a very mild salsa to munch on in the meantime. When we finally got our order in I had also put in for a regular house margarita, which was thankfully much better than the Cadillac! I ordered the combo with a taco, an enchilada, and a chili rellano. As expected it was served with traditional rice and beans. The taco was unimpressive, slightly better than Taco Bell, the enchilada was okay, but lacking authenticity that I expect. The beans were bland and the rice was just okay as well. What made up for an otherwise two star meal was the awesome chili rellano! It honestly couldn't have been any better! A little kick, nice and cheesy, and cooked to perfection! Would I go back? It's hard to say... if I did I would get the house margarita and chili rellano most certainly!

Wonderfully large patio for excellent outdoor dining. Nice staff, typical American Mexican menu. I don't know why there weren't more people for lunch on a beautiful afternoon. I recommend you try it. Great for a crowd!

I've been goin since the beginning, great homemade Mexican comfort food, cold beer, great mixed drinks, my favorite is the poloma. Staff is friendly and prompt. Can't wait till the warm weather for the outside dinning. Keep up the great job.

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

They have a daily menu, and I've had some friends suggest this place as their favorite restaurant. We parked blocks away due to the lack of adequate parking. Once we walked in, we were greeted with pleasant smiles from the staff. The menu was short, which we attributed to a focus on quality. We ordered a French onion dip and a littleneck entree as an app for the table. We were served with lukewarm water, neither cold nor hot. The apostle John might have been somewhat disappointed (Rev 3:16). The dip was decent but was somewhat lacking in great onion flavor. But nothing to complain about. The little necks were served in a small bowl and lacked a bit of salt. Rather pricey for $26, but this place charges $6 just for bread and butter, so maybe it's just inflation? Enter the entrees. They apparently were short on chicken legs so they asked to substitute chicken breast. Two of us got burgers. First the $20 burgers, which were served with an aioli with no offer of ketchup or other condiments. In short, both burgers were terrible. Far worse than we make at home. It's always a disappointment when you realize you're paying all this extra for food you can make better at home. The buns were shockingly flat, like someone smashed them by hand. Or in a McDonald's box. Come to think of it, the flavor was similar, though overall the hamburger was somewhat bitter, salty and lacked an appetizing flavor. Wow. We all agreed they were terrible. The fries were also burnt and over salted. My daughter quit on her $30 chicken, so I tried it. The sauce wasn't bad, and it was served with a decent brocollini. But the chicken was some of the driest I've had in a restaurant, with no crisp skin and a uniformly poor texture. No wonder no one finished their entrees. And I hate wasting food. So, as much as we would have wanted to give this place a great rating, we just won't be back. The service, although with a smile, was slow and terrible. Our candle burnt out in the middle of dinner. It was never relit. Our glasses were empty halfway through dinner. No refills on the tepid water. The entrees took an hour and a half before they came out (we were warned the chicken could take 30 min). Generally a very disappointing experience. Hard to explain the rave reviews but our Saturday dinner was a sad bust. The cold wet madeleines they provided in a doggie bag didn't do anything to help. Oh well. Hope y'all have a better experience if you go here.

They did not have many wines to choose from BTG which was disappointing. The one I had which was Cinsault was just ok. I had to dump out most of it since I did not enjoy it but that was my fault since sampling it I thought I liked it. My friend had the bartender make her a cocktail with grapefruit since they did not have pineapple. She was looking for a French martini but seemed to enjoy what they made her. My husband's espresso martini was very good I thought and light but could've used some bailey's. We already had dessert so we did not plan on anything else but I know I am interested in returning for dinner. The restaurant is very small inside but I loved the warm lights and decor. It was a very sexy and attractive vibe! If you are ever in Warren I highly recommend coming here for either drinks, dinner, or both. We started with a complex Black Onion Garlic dip with house-made potato chips. Straight away, this puts everyone in a good mood. Our appetizers consisted of Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Lamb and Beef Meatballs, and Citrus & Radicchio Salad (party of 4). All were expertly crafted, creative, and delicious. Of special note, the sauce served with the meatballs was "finger-lickin good". For entrees, we ordered White Lamb Ragu, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Nettie & Ramp Pesto Fettucini. Each dish was beautifully presented and generated a lot of excitement at the table. The roasted lamb, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, was succulent. The house-made, melt-in-your mouth pappardelle pasta served with a ragu sauce put me in the zone. For dessert, we enjoyed 2 servings of a Frangipane buckwheat tart with Almond ice cream.
