My wife and I recently put our cat, Mighty, down and we wanted to write a review of this specific Banfield. We've been to a variety of Banfields and this is hands down the best location. It's quieter which is great for our cat and they really knew how to take care of Mighty and make him comfortable. We just want to thank Dr. Kassie for taking great care of Mighty and for all of the dedication she put in. Thank you also to Jasmine for always remembering Mighty before we even get a chance to say anything as soon as we walk in. Thank you to the rest of the Banfield team as well for all the care you provided all these years for him. Hopefully we will be back one day once we're ready to have another fur baby by our side. read more

My experience with this Banfield location was awful. We had an appointment to put our 14 year old d9g down. It was already emotional and hard. They took him in to put in the iv and they were gone for 45 mins. My dog was crying so loud, whimpering , barking, in agony. I could see them thru the glass door. They kept poking him saying they couldnt get the iv to stick. They poked him for 45 mins. I watched. I brought my dog to go in peace, painless, and instead his last hour of his life was traumatizing, Unnecessary axiety and pain. Bull $*** if u ask me. I will never come back here. I have Banfield wellness plans for three (3) dogs. I generally have had good experiences with Banfield, but we recently moved to the area and needed some single dose heartworm medicine for two of our dogs. I ordered the single dose medications from an online pet prescription company who mistakenly sent the fax (and follow up faxes) to the Clayton office. The Clayton office sat on faxes for several days, before calling me to let me know it should go to the Willow Pass Road Banfield (where my dogs had their recent exams). I asked if they could just forward it to them, but Willow Pass Road Banfield was closed for several days due to staffing issues. Dr. Karen Tancuan would not sign off on the heartworm medicine without my dogs having appointments. What is the point of being with Banfield where I can supposedly get pet care at several locations and they all have access to the pets' medical records. A complaint will be filed with the VMB. read more

Okay. I absolutely love the employees here, they are great and super pet friendly. We purchased the 1 year plan for our new pup at a whopping 700 bucks! We did it because it included her spade and her vaccines. Up until now, everything was great, although we did pay for her pain meds and such which I thought should have been included. No problem though. However today we had an appointment for her last Lyme shot. This Lyme shot should have been free according to our 'plan' . But.. we were unavailable at the time they wanted to do it. So.... because we were not on schedule in the mix with her spay and such, we had to pay another 34 dollars. Bull crap! I of course paid it but am very disappointed that the plan we signed up for doesn't allow some time to reach a comfortable date for said shot. It is a shot, that's all.. I very much feel as though they scraping every penny they can. I really like the service they provide and appreciate the calls to check on our Lacy, but I also think I could have done all of this for less money. My schedule with this kind of commitment should be priority. They are wonderful with Lacy, I just can't get over the nickel and dime crap. BOO! read more

Saw the terrible reviews before coming in, but gave it a shot regardless. I had a " regular " check in visit appointment at 3pm, they took my dog in after 1 hour, and we left near 6, do the math. Waiting was terrible. They don't let you come in with your dog, but then make you wait HOURS in waiting area, is that making sense? !! UNETHICAL !! Staff " affirmed " they vaccinated my dog (without my consent!) and never took her in for any vaccination. Not only did they talk me into paying a membership that barely covers services your dog seldom needs, but they made me pay for the vaccine I didn't give consent for when I pulled from membership after understanding what unprofessional and unethical they have been with my pet. I recommand if you want your pet taken care like a business, do NOT recommend if you actually care about your animal. We finally have given up on Banfield. It's bad enough they are closed when they are supposed to be open or that they have revolving vets you have to track down to try to get results from a special test. It's been 2 days and we still haven't heard. But what put us over the edge was last week when we made the final decision to put our cat with oral cancer to sleep. When we called to bring her in, the receptionist said we could just "drop her off". We had to make an appointment for 5 days later. I have been a Banfield "member" since our pet was a puppy and appreciate that when a clinic is full you can call other local Banfield clinics which is how we arrived in Concord. Using the Pet Chat feature, I learned that our pet needed immediate attention. When I described what was happening, Kathy worked her magic and told me to bring him in for a drop off the same day. This is rare in my experience and appreciate the ability to use our primary vet versus going to an emergency facility. We received a call from Omar and the Dr within a couple of hours on next steps and trust our pet is on the way to wellness. Thank you all! read more

It's all about money with this place. They'll do everything they can to hook you on their "plan," which is just to get you to pay more. Went in because my dog had something wrong with her eye. They told me it was allergies, and gave me drops. 1 week later she couldn't even open her eye. I brought her to another vet (not Banfield), and they did some blacklight test on her eye, and realized her eye was scratched. It's also impossible to get an appointment at this place. Don't go. Don't waste your time. If you want to fix your animal, go to another vet. read more

Not to fond of this location. My poor cat, who is pretty mellow seemed to be man handled. When I asked why he had fresh pulled fur hanging from his coat after hearing him screaming in the back, the guy removed the fur with his hand and said that's normal. I'm writing this review because A. I love my vet here and B. because the majority of negative reviews I'm reading are in regards to the Wellness Plan and people feeling like they were being "sold" something when they went in for an appointment. For years I've taken my 4 cats to East Bay Veterinary Specialists (formerly Encina) in Walnut Creek. I decided to try Banfield because it's closer to my house and my cats HATE being in the car, 20-minutes of travel with them is a bit of a nightmare. I will admit that during my first visit I also felt like I was being pushed to sign up for the wellness plan. I didn't initially but went home and thought it over/added it up and decided that it made sense -- my cats were behind on all of their boosters and hadn't had comprehensive exams in a long while. It seemed like an affordable way to get them all caught-up and ensure healthier, longer lives for my boys. I am so glad that I did. All of my cats are now up to date on boosters, have had dental cleanings (one poor cat had two horribly rotten teeth removed and he is noticeably happier now that he's not in pain). Another had some underlying health issues that we're now addressing (even though I felt like something was going on because he was a bit off, I ignored it because vet tests are so expensive and his behaviour wasn't extreme). Our vet, Dr Saija is amazing!!! I really haven't been happier with another vet. She actually loves cats and explains EVERYTHING -- the same goes for every the other staff members I've met there. I feel like my cats are in the best hands when I go in. Another thing I love about the wellness plan, it includes office visits so any time I think something is going on with one of my cats I can just bring them in without worrying about the office fee. This is huge for me. I think all pet owners know what it's like to try to wish away a little limp or small wound because you don't want to drop hundreds of dollars on what may just heal on its own. Not worrying about office fees means I can bring in my animal, and if it is "nothing" just leave without a bill, but catch it early if it is actually something. I started taking my pets here because the Albany location (also an amazing choice) is usually just slightly harder to get an appointment with (that's the price for good service I suppose). This place is great, friendly, and most importantly they provide great care for your pets at an affordable price. Both my dogs go here and I would recommend as a solid choice for animal care. The wellness plans are really great and you can customize them to your pets age/needs so you don't pay for unnecessary services. Absolutely AWFUL experience. We have the Wellness Program that we pay monthly for and take our new puppy to any Banfield in the country. Sounds good right? Until you inconvenience them. We had an appointment to take our dog in who had diarrhea after getting her third set of boosters. Appointment was set for 5:45pm and the woman on the phone said they were located on Ygnacio Rd. Well, guess what? There are TWO separate Banfield's on Ygnacio. One in Walnut Creek and one in Concord. After going to the wrong one (the Walnut Creek location), we were promised by the man at the counter that he would call the correct one, let us know we were on our way, and would be a bit late due to the confusion. Finally get to the correct one (the Concord location), and we were 30 minutes late. They refused to see us because we were late and did not receive any call from the other office. They refused to see a sick puppy whose owner's pay for the Premium Wellness Plan because we were 30 minutes late thanks to them not clarifying anything beyond being located on Ygnacio Valley Road. They refused to help us and turned us away. They didn't even give us a courtesy call asking where we were and we didn't think to call because we were rushing and the man at the other hospital promised he would so we would not miss our appointment. Needless to say we will be cancelling our wellness plan and never returning to a Banfield ever again. Absolutely awful service/support from a place that clearly does not have a pet's health at heart. read more

We booked an appointment for our cat and confirmed it by email twice but when we got there for the appointment they said they had called us "literally 20 times" and had canceled the appointment because they needed verbal confirmation even though it didn't say that anywhere and we had confirmed in email TWICE. Been meaning to write this review for some time now. We switched vets just to be closer to our home and I'm so glad we did. The vet who met with us to check up our new rescue cat, Ollie, was so kind and knowledgeable. She spent a ton of time with us answering all of our questions. She has a wonderful way with pets and even Ollie really liked her - and he doesn't even like me! :) I was so pleased by this experience and will definitely be bringing my dog here too. I am done with Banfield. They never have any appointments until far out. I made an appointment at the Clayton one, hoping that my pet would be seen for a problem with her paw. They kept telling me that she could be seen for comprehensive, even though that's not what I made the appointment for. I was a little late, but I did call in advance to make sure she could be seen. When I arrived they told me they couldn't see her. They said that they want to provide quality care, even though that's never been my experience with them since they are always rushing or want to do a drop off where they keep your pet for a while just to do something simple. I feel like it's poor care, and I'm ready to move on to more quality care even if I have to pay more. read more

We just got a new puppy ( german sheppard) I was having major anxiety about his diet, being outside, his future visits, things to be cautious about. Dogs become a part of the family so I can't help but be a protective mom. Adrian and Dr. Ferro helped eliminate my stress and where so informative. I'm so happy decided to go with them . Our animals have been Banfield Wellness Plan patients for 8 years. We have tried 3 different hospitals in our area. This one has been very persistent about needing expensive tests run on our 3-year-old dog, while completely ignoring the reason the appointment was scheduled in the first place. Our dog has been at their hospital since 9-am this morning for a skin problem and is just now done at 4-pm. When the doctor called it was "She has a heart murmur. It could just be excitement or stress. She shows no signs of being sick, but we want to do a heart ultrasound and chest X-ray". Not a word about the skin issue... Do you know what she had done after all that time...? Worming... Our dog was stuck in a kennel (because they can't legally take them out to potty) for 8 hours for a skin check and got a worming (something that takes 20 minutes). Then the doctor has the nerve to discuss my dog being stressed!? And act like she's too hyperactive to examine. Like too loving. She's too much giant-loving, excited dog to examine.... mind you we have never been given options like medication to lessen her stress or hyperactivity. what are we paying for? Why is my "stressed" dog there for 8 hours for nothing? Definitely canceling our plan. What a bummer. read more

Have been impressed by the doctors, communication and service here. They love their customers and animals! The doctors are great with recommendations and advice, I have never had to wait to long for an appointment and they never try to sell us something extra and always weigh the pros and cons with you. We have 4 animals on the wellness plan, and have no complaints. No it does not cover everything, and it might not be for everyone, but works for us to cover almost all the fundamentals. You might read some reviews of being "bullied" into signing up...are these the same people that signed a home loan back in 2006? No one forces you. Read the contract and see if it makes sense for you and your situation. read more

It's taken me a while to make this review, but I want to share my story of how my dog was treated at Banfield. I was recommended Banfield by a coworker of mine, she also recommended something called a Puppy Plan, which would pay for my dogs vaccines, neuter, etc. I brought my dog in at 10 weeks to get his vaccines and the staffed seemed decent enough. However, as time passed my dog developed an issue with having seizures. I called Banfield and was unable to get through to anyone on the phone. I called SAGE hospital and was told that if my dog had more than one seizure he should be evaluated. My dog had another seizure 2 hours later so my boyfriend brought him to Banfield. He was prescribed medication and it worked for about 2 months. By the time I needed a refill, I called days in advance, but still there was an issue with getting it filled on time. I told staff when I ran out of his medication that I needed help urgently. The vet was unable to verify the medication with the pharmacy until late in the afternoon, and by the time I picked up his medication, he already had several seizures. I wasn't told to watch out for anything, I never got to speak with a vet, so I gave my dog the medication and waited. Unfortunately, the medication did not stop his seizures. I waited to see if the medication needed to take longer. By 10:00pm my dog had about 8 seizures. I called SAGE and asked what I should do and they were shocked by how many seizures he had. They told me my dog needed to go to a hospital right away. I called many hospitals and was finally able to bring my dog to a hospital in Lafayette. By the time I brought him to the hospital my dog had over 10 seizures and was not recovering from them. My dog was in the hospital overnight, and although they were able to suppress the seizures, my dog was very weak and frail. He was given heavy medication that I was told he would need to be on forever. The medication was very sedative and it wasn't a good future for my dog. I made the decision a few days later to have him put down at Banfield. Staff who answer the phones are sometimes nice, but there was no sincere follow up with my situation. After I put my dog down I requested to get his ashes back. I then tried to cancel the "puppy plan" that I enrolled my dog in, and I found out that I had to pay off the balance of the money I had not reached. This was a little devastating because I had just paid over $3000 on medical bills at the hospital, and $300 on the cremation. My boyfriend then had a bad experience picking up my dog's ashes. He spoke to the receptionist and asked to pick up the ashes, and unsympathetically said "hold on" and went to the back. He said the woman casually handed him a bag with the ashes inside. He was very upset when he came up and I feel bad that he felt that way after the loss we suffered. I believe Banfield is a scam, they're called a "hospital" but they are not. The vets are not that knowledge except for basic treatment. There is no hospital connected to them, they are strictly a vet office. Also the hours online are wrong. It says they close at six but I learned that once the vet sees their last patient the staff go home early. I tried to pick up my dogs heart worm medication and I got there before 5:00 and staff were packing up. I was given a hard time about getting the medication since they were "closing" but finally I was able to get some help. I hope my story may prevent another disaster for another doggie parent. Also I don't need a response telling me to contact BanfieldCares@banfield.com because I have already notified them. What I would like is an actual sincere apology because your "team" has neglected many pets. read more

Since I have moved across the country and have therefor been to a lot of Banfield pet hospitals I can say that this one is hands down the best one I have been to. I had the wellness plan since my dog was a puppy. Unfortunately she is no longer with us, but would come back here if I had another pet and would recommend them to others. Why I LOVE this location? Dr Tancuan and Dr Davies are amazing. I always felt like they took time to listen to concerns and try to find what's best for the dog without trying to oversell you on things the dog doesn't really need. I've been to clinics where they immediately went to probably having to do a $$ knee surgery without even doing an X-ray (got a second opinion and they said nothing was wrong and it did go away by itself). I especially remember the last time I saw Dr Davies. She was very caring and went above and beyond to help me and my dog. I Had gone to an emergency vet where they gave me a bunch of pills and They described to me how I'd force feed it if necessary, which didn't work. Dr Davies took the time to show me and even gave me some pill teats. During a difficult time, she took all the time to explain quality of life and when it may be time to say good bye. It was a relief to have someone be there and assist in making the decision. When it came time to euthanize my dog, everyone was so sweet and gave us the time in the world to say good bye before and after the procedure... Today I received the sweetest and saddest gift- a sympathy card and her paw print. The last thing I have left from my furbaby. It meant the world to me. Thank you for being amazing vets and all the technicians and front desk staff I met were wonderful as well. I'd highly recommend them. Also never had to wait when having an appointment like in many other locations. read more

Don't judge a place by its cover! Yes this place is not aesthetically pleasing, however it does have some of the BEST doctors around! They are all recently hired, within the last month, and they are AMAZING. I am so excited to be apart of this vet! These are now permanent doctors for this location too! I bring my dog here and just love all of them! So whichever one I get is great! The front desk staff and vet techs are always such a joy as well! Really happy to see the new changes and hope it continues! Would like to see some remodeling, but again, that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I was excited to visit this clinic for the 1st time for my beautiful Polie.Waited a bit but it was fine.The young lady assisted me and at the same time trying to sell this wellness insurance without explaining well,anyway I decline it.My priority was to get a wellness check up and shots for my Polie. Fast forward, VA took Polie in and came back after few minutes.She says,they weren't able to check him nor the shots because he was hissing a lot.VA lady says,next time I come I need to give him a sedative so he'll be more calmer and easily manage.I told the Vet assistant perhaps I can come in to calm him down but their Veterinarian decline it.I couldn't believe how trained professional cannot handle a kitty.They supposed to know how to deal with animals behavior.I was thinking maybe they don't want to do something because I have a complimentary wellness check for first time pet visit,i, guess its all about MONEY with this clinic.I am very disappointed and disgusted going home. Next day,made some calls to other vet  clinic and got an appoinment for my Polie. We went to his appoinment today 9/4/2021 and warned the staff that he's not a friendly cat.I went with them and watched how they managed to calm my Polie down.To my surprised,the veterinarian handled like a breeze as well as her assistant.He got the shots he needed and the wellness check up. Ok so this is going to be pretty lengthy. But I purchased a adorable little chihuahua off Craigslist last Saturday.. I immediately wanted her to be seen by a vet to make sure everything is ok. And my friend recommended Banfield she told me that their first visit is free yadda yadda... So I make the appointment online for Saturday (yesterday). Upon the ride to the Vet my puppy got a little sick and threw up in her cage. When I got to the place and seen dr I told her that but chopped it up as her being car sick.. well the dr left us alone and sent a nurse in and he starts talking about a Parvo kit for $50 . I'm like no I'm not paying that today I just wanted the visit. So he leaves and comes back 10 min later and just is saying all this stuff of oh she looks ill she isn't going to make it. And the total to walkout w IV pills etc is $487! I'm like I'm hella confused because y'all told me not even 20 min ago she was fine now y'all saying she is ill and looks like she isn't going to make it through the night! I'm upset!! So the dr comes in pretty lady forgot her name Indian decent I believe she tried coming in and saying well if you can't pay this price for her and get her what she needs then I think you should rehome her to someone that can afford to take care of her. Im laughing now because I peep what's going on. I'm like oh so now I can't afford to take care of her ? Because I'm refusing $400 worth of stuff she does not need! I was hot before now I'm livid!! I pack my puppy up and leave that place.. 6 hours later.... I'm at home with my children and someone rings the doorbell.. I ask my son to look in peel hole and see who it is. He like it's the Police! Mommy it's the Police. He is freaking out! So I open the door and the officer asks for my name and said he needs to speak to me... so I get my kids calmed down then step outside to speak with him. Come to find out Banfield called Animal Services and told them I was refusing to help my little girl. That I was neglecting her. The whole 9. I'm flabbergasted to say the least so I'm standing outside my door talking to this officer telling him the rundown and everything. He was like well can I come in And see her because from the notes they wrote it said she was near death etc. I'm like of course please come in . I get my little girl out her bassinet and gave her to him she is licking him wagging her tail. HEALTHY AS CAN BE... He was like she looks perfectly fine he gave me a heads up he said corporate vet like VCA and Banfield are money hungry... he said this is not the first time they've received calls like this and go to check it out to find out everything is fine the customer just refused to pay the astronomical price they were asking for. So the officer closed it out took a picture of my puppy and left... he was super nice and I get it he was doing his job but Again, I apologize for the super long review but I just wanted to inform you before you go to this place... From the waiting room it's beautiful clean but once they get you in that room they will make up things to get you to pay for stuff your animal does not need and then when u refuse call animal control. Like there aren't enough animals at the shelter to begin with. So very disgusted . Proceed w own risk but Banfield is so wack for that! read more

This place is a rip off. My dog was dying of old age and the veterinarian still wanted to do more tests, referred me to Sage for a second opinion then went back to Banfield and the veterinarian again took blood samples and charged me almost $500 the following day my dog died. I took her to another veterinarian to be put down because she was already worn down and suffering too much and this other veterinarian confirmed that she was dying and no further treatment could prolong her life. I wasn't interested anymore to find out the result of her tests from Banfield because I was already mourning my dog's passing. I pulled out my 2 other dogs from Banfield because I can't see myself going through another heartbreaking experience like this. This is not a hospital it's misleading because for serious problems they refer you to Sage it's just a clinic doing easy treatment/care and if you cancel early, they're going to make you pay for the balance or pay for whatever service incurred during your dog's annual plan even if your pet passed away. They also won't notify you if you're up for renewal they just renew you that's why keep a record of whatever you signed up for. read more

I was basically bullied into signing up for a wellness plan, which I don't need and would end up costing me way more money per year than just going to the vet. I tried to cancel the wellness plans and Banfield tried to charge me $150 more than I would have originally paid if I had not signed up for the plan. So, canceled card instead so they can't get any money from me. Save your money everyone! Go to a different vet. BTW, you can get vaccines through Contra Costa County shelter for $6. read more

It is too bad that my dog was treated so poorly here. I took her to Valley Vetrinary hospital on Ygnacio Valley Road for 15 years. Then they were bought by Banfield. The last time I took her there they told me that I needed to buy more pet insurance but that it was month to month, I could drop it anytime. I had already purchased the insurance from Valley Vetrinary and I was supposed to be covered until that ended. I was told it was no good. So I started paying. My dog got sicker and sicker so I took her to a different vet only to find she was having severe kidney disease. I took her to a different pet hospital. The vet at the new pet hospital kept her alive for us for six more months. Then i stopped paying Banfield insurance. I started to get phone calls from the insurance Banfield sold me as month to month. I was told I signed a contract but I told them I did not. Three months into their harassing calls I got a copy of what I had signed. It just showed up in the mail one day after I called Banfield and asked them to intervene with the insurance company on my behalf. It was not explained to me correctly when I signed it and they conveniently never gave me my copy. The last time they called I told them "look my dog is dead" and finally the calls stopped but now it is on my credit report because I only paid 1/2 year month to month! The vets here are a joke, still wet behind the ears and the vet tech was the best "bait and switch salesperson" I have ever met. I recommend you go to any of the other Vetrinary clinics in the area but NOT BANFIELD!! My new dog is going elsewhere! My poor little dog suffered needlessly I should have left this clinic when it was sold to Banfield! read more

I only give the one star because well you have no choice. That and I had a doctor come out during one visit who was incredibly sweet and helpful at a time I was in a bad place. She didn't need to do that and I appreciated it. Now the bad!! The counter women on the weekend is useless. She straight out said she had no idea what she was doing. Then tried to pass the buck on me that it was my fault. She took that place from a solid four to a one in one disastrous visit. Not even sure why she's there. Maybe she works for a different vet to kill there business. That wasn't the only issue. I made a 11:30 appointment. Then got pushed to the back of the line because someone went to lunch. Wow where do I start with this place. The first and most important thing someone needs to know before walking in there. Is...just don't do it! In my opinion these people are heartless and don't give a damn about your animal. Also do not fall for their insurance plan you'll be on the hook paying that every month it covers very little. Its a waste of money. Oh and good luck getting an actual appointment! They have a thing where they'll stuff your dog or cat in a cage for the entire day . Or as they call it "all day appointment" . I've spent 27 years of my life in pet care. The number one goal has always been the care of animals. As well as making my clients know that I unquestionably care. I've always felt the complete indifference from these people. I used to wonder why every person that worked there had such a horrible personality. It's because these people just cram as many people into a day as they can. Money money money! including again "all day appointment" (dog in a cage)! They're used to this dark stuff being the normal way it works their I would imagine. That's not healthy and probably is affecting a lot of them. I also have no idea if they even gave my dog any water for the five and a half hours that she was sitting in a cage. I say this because when I got home she drank water like I've never seen. I know for a fact they didn't take her out to go to the bathroom. As she made that very clear. I feel awful about bringing her there and leaving her in that situation. Never again with that heartless crew. I finally got to the point where I just had to get her out of this mess. They didn't even look at her She still has her health issue and they didn't care. Dr. Saija is the best. She's been taking great care of our cats for the last 2 years. She gives great advice and takes personal interest in getting to know our cats. I adopted a new puppy in March 2022 and decided to try Banfield, Clayton, ca since friends of mine use them and I wanted to take advantage of their wellness plan because it includes spaying, which can get really expensive. Immediately I had trouble with accessing a primary doctor in the office for my pup. That didn't happen. In the many times I have been there, I can't remember even having the same doctor see my dog. Plus, if I asked a question, I got different answers from each one - some conflicting. One issue my pup was having was eye blinking and squinting. I asked, besides conjunctivitis, if it could be an allergy. The doctor, "oh would you like me to prescribe an allergy medication"? I don't know, you're the doctor you tell me. Also they prescribed simparica trio for her, which is a combo flea/heart. I know that a heart worm test needs to be done before prescribing a heartworm med. I was told since she was only 4 months no heart worm test was needed. After two months of giving her the med, I asked to order more and was told I needed a heartworm test first. Huh? she's been on heartworm medication all this time. Then I was told, that no she didn't need a test. I was told by the breeder that she came with a chip. When she was being spayed, the vet did a scan they could not find it and asked me if I wanted to have one inserted when pup was under. I told them no because I needed to find out from breeder what happened to her chip. I later learned that chip had malfunctioned so I called Banfield and asked them to insert a new chip. I was told they had to put her under again in order to do that. Huh? I called around and, again, that was false information. I had one done at another vet. Very easily done while she was awake. Plus, they are never open. It is now 9:55 am on Thursday and they are closed. This has happened at least twice. They seem to be closed a lot. Frustrating!!!!!!!! Pup has had a stomach issue for a few days and I did a drop off appointment for her. They did some tests and sent me home with an anti-diarrhea medicine, which doesn't seem to be working so I called to ask if I could get some more since I'm almost through with the tube. Front desk person said they could squeeze me in tomorrow at 3 and then said when I come in I could decide whether to keep her on existing meds at that time. I said why am I deciding that. Shouldn't the doctor decide whether she needs more tests or to continue the medication? So now I'm waiting until my question is answered by the doctor before proceeding. HELP! read more

This new location has horrible customer service. I found out I called the wrong location for an emergency I had with my dog, I wish they wld have told me I called the wrong office. I prefer the location in concord off willow pass they are way nicer! read more

Front office staff is horrible, not trained well, inaccurate quotes. $18,99 nail trim turned into $190 bill. Geez, I hate to think what they would charge if your pet was sick. Vets are starting to become a very unethical profession. They take advantage of people, because they know we love our animals. Shame on them!!! read more

We arrived and while checking in our puppy checked out the place. He was quite at home. We took him into the exam room and Dr Saija came in and immediately got down on the floor with him and he loved it. Got his shot and didn't quiver once. We took our puppy there to get spayed a few days ago. The day we went to pick her up they brought her to the exam room and all the sudden she started bleeding a ton through her incision. The dr then took her to the treatment area to do an ultrasound to then come back and tell us she's bleeding internally and has a pocket of blood inside and couldn't tell us why. I don't understand how she wouldn't know since she was the last person to be working on my animal. She says she does spays all the time yet she totally messed up on our dog and we could have lost her. They immediately sent us to sage since they couldn't do anything for some reason come to find out she didn't properly close the vessels that were connected to her ovary. This is something that's very rare. So that just goes to show that they got comfortable and sloppy since she does so many spays. I'm so grateful for sage and their excellent care. They made sure my dog was 100% before sending her back home. This was definitely enough for me to never trust my dog going back there again. read more
