Best breakfast burrito I've had in Santa Fe, or anywhere! Big, filled with freshly scrambled eggs, bacon, based brown and cheese. Very generous portioo--and delicious to the last bite! Also a great value for $5. Owner is super nice, has a sign saying if you can't afford to pay hell feed you anyway. So I paid for the burrito and some to support his cause. Just a few blocks from the plaza, caddy corner to the state capitol roundhouse which has a fine art collection. Well worth the shirt walk. I'm going back! read more

Amazing amazing breakfast burrito! Huge, delicious and silly cheap...$5 bucks...It's a $10 burrito in my opinion. I love how he uses sliced potatoes too...look to be hand cut/sliced. I also love the crispy bottom to the burrito as well / adds a nice texture to the bite! It's a great breakfast burrito and definitely worth a book mark. I'm already looking forward to my next trip north to SF, which will definitely include a return visit to Santafamous Street East!! read more

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. They have the best breakfast burrito I've ever had in my entire life, and I've had like 30. I came here the first time and saw they had tons of good vegetarian options. I had the beet taco and calabacitas (zucchini) taco, both were tasty but the former was unique and better. Their corn tortillas tasted so fresh and natural. Tacos are $2.50 each. I came here again and had a beet taco and their breakfast burrito. I asked him if he could replace the bacon with something vegetarian, as a lot of restaurants out there would simply leave it out for the same cost without a replacement. He kindly responded he can add calabacitas/zucchini instead, yes! Very nice of him. It was the best breakfast burrito I ever had. First of all, for $5 it was huge and loaded with goodies. Second of all, the eggs were fried not scrambled and tasted so fresh off the grill and savory, the potatoes were slow cooked and caramelized too. Man, I could dream about this! This taco truck is located in a parking lot/food truck park just 10minute walk from Santa Fe Plaza. They don't give you those typical green or red sauces but Those tacos are tasty and perfect just the way they are. The breakfast burrito was great. Not soggy or bone dry. Great potato/eggs/bacon/chile and cheese ratio without feeling like too much or too little of anything. Would easily be my top 3 best breakfast burrito if he added more crispy texture (maybe crispy bacon). Highly recommend checking this place out. Affordable food without scarifying the taste! Since there is only one person operating the food truck, the wait can be long. read more

WOW- This food really knocked my socks off! The food was incredibly delicious and perfect! I had done a little research prior to making my way out to Santafamous, and I had planned on getting the Waffle Christi. It turns out that is more of a seasonal item and was not available. I had to quickly pivot and make a switch to tacos, because burritos were already sold out. I chose a potato taco and a BBQ taco. I was really happy to have actually tried these amazing tacos! Every component of the tacos was spot on and they were perfection! The corn tortillas used for the tacos has a delicious flavor and were sturdy enough to keep all the fixins' from spilling out. The potato taco was seasoned just right and had a real depth to the flavor. The pork used in the BBQ taco was chopped finely and had just the right ratio of meat to fat. I seldom eat meat, but this was just out of this world delicious! Also, I'd have to say the textures in both tacos were great, the different toppings were diced and made it an all the more satisfying experience. I finished off my meal with a Mexican Coke. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better lunch- I highly recommend Santafamous, I'm going to be longing for these tacos well after my trip to Santa Fe has ended! read more

I've been wanting to give this place a try for about a year now. I figured today was the day! I drove about an hour and a half with no regret. I had the most delicious lunch. I had the sweet potato tacos with a grilled avocado. I've never had anything quite like this before. It was phenomenal! The combination of the dates, sweet potatoes and cashews were amazing! It was like a party that I didn't want to end. My husband enjoyed every last bit of his smoked pork tacos. Between the menu prices, the excellent customer service, as well as the flavor of the food, this place deserves 10 stars I plan to make the drive out very soon to enjoy this food again. read more

OMG...Visiting Santa Fe and was recommended the food truck right next to this one. I'm so glad I came here instead. Half the price and soooo delicious! The man working was very kind. Add my "5" here: I'm from out of town and read the raves about the sweet potato tacos online and even in a guidebook. Absolutely try one. For $2, you get a small taco thoroughly stuffed with sweet potatoes, dates, and chipotle sauce. Best bargain anywhere. In fact , get two, and the rest of the menu looks good, too! read more

Living here for many years, I finally stopped in for a breakfast burrito, and I have to say it was the worst I have ever had. Extremely mushy potatoes and bacon with a little green chili. The bacon was also undercooked. Sad when the best thing about the burrito was the flour tortilla! The man that provided the service was very pleasant, but I will never eat there again. There are sooo many better places to eat in Santa Fe. read more

We had a conference at the roundhouse and had a short lunch break. I got on trusty yelp to find a lunch spot and this place came up. We trekked over to the cutest little food truck area and perused the menus. Santafamous had the best menu options (and tacos are always a win in my book). I ordered the sweet potato taco and BBQ taco. The chef/owner was super nice and friendly. My coworker ordered the burrito. The wait time was short and we were able to sit at the one table near the food truck. I loved my tacos! They were well seasoned, had just the right amount of toppings, and were filling. The chef kindly shared extra calabacita tacos with us. It was also delicious. We left fully satisfied and shared our reviews with other coworkers! I would definitely go back to this place. read more

The best breakfast burritos in Santa Fe bar none, by an extremely decent man. He knows our car; by the time we park and walk up to his window he says "Two of the usual" and we (with enthusiasm) yell Yes! Already on. We take them home ("Drive like you mean it!") and enjoy with our favorite coffee and the morning TV news. Heaven in aluminum foil. Across from Kaune's, parking lot on OSFT, back corner: can't miss it. Get one! read more

Today was my first time trying this truck-- and wow, the breakfast burrito was honestly one of the best I've had. I got the Santa Famous with slow roasted pork with Xmas. The Chile was extra flavorful (especially the green) and as a local New Mexican, we're obviously serious about this factor. I really really can't emphasize how good this place is. BBQ Pork, Chicken, SO juicy,......has Veggie options, really tasty, too, so much more! Decided to have tacos in Santa Fe before hitting the road. Our Yelp search led us to this truck. Friendly guy and we decided to try the BBQ pork taco special. We did have to wait for a bit, but the plate full of tacos was worth it. Hearty, generous and delicious. Picnic tables available to dine at in a spacious parking lot. Good stuff. read more

Excellent food! Great options! Nice atmosphere! I had the beet tacos. Incredible burrito. Stopped here on our way through town. Hearing that Santa Fe was the birthplace of the breakfast burrito, we decided we'd have to chomp down on one while passing through. Having read about the positive vibes at this spot, we were not disappointed. We wanted a breakfast burrito, but man we wanted that smoked pork too. What to do? Have a smoked pork breakfast burrito, we were recommended by the owner. Done. Christmas salsa? Done. Delicious meal, great bang for buck, friendly guy with good vibes. 100% recommend. Can't wait to revisit. It's set up in a little parking lot with other truck vendors. Everyone seemed nice. We also got some banging donuts from another truck. So do yourself a favor: santafamous breakfast burrito with smoked pork and Christmas salsa. And don't forget to tip! Spread those good vibes. read more

For an extra treat, get yourself a maple/bacon donut from the donut truck in the same lot. What a fantastic Santa Fe Style morning!! On top of that, the barbacoa had so many burnt pieces that they completely overpowered the flavor. I could barely taste anything besides char. I only finished it because I was starving. The beans were somehow even worse. They tasted like plain boiled beans with absolutely no seasoning. Not even salt. My girlfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole for $28, and they were just as disappointing. It was basically two tiny rolled tortillas with the chicken sitting next to them instead of inside them. It made no sense. The mole sauce was decent, but it leaned much sweeter than savory. The only thing we left talking about was how disappointed we were. For the prices they charge, the portions and quality were nowhere close to worth it. We actually stopped at the Valero down the street afterward so I could grab a Milky Way ice cream because I was still hungry. That ended up being the best part of the night. Restaurant was beautiful too I guess.

Definitely tasted mezcal but not much of the other flavors. Also, they corrected their mistake but I did call in a reservation. It took three phone calls on two different days. The person who picked up took my reservation but apparently did NOT record it in their reservation book. When we got there our reservation was no where to be found and even worse, the hostess said this had been happening a few times but they didn't know who was taking these reservations and not writing them down. Now if it was a one off, I'm just unlucky, but if you're telling me it's an issue, I think it's something management should really work harder on solving. The hostess was nice enough to be like you'll be our first priority for seating if any reservations don't show up and we were able to get a table fairly quickly which I really do appreciate. Other than that one staff issue with the reservation, the other staff were all amazing and our waitress came by a few times to check in on us and her and other staff came around to refill water.
