Those buffalo cauliflower bites were the best I've had. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and the inside but not mushy. The sauce was spicy but it was topped with a cool creamy drizzle. The Dirty South burger with pineapple chutney, pimento cheese and a fried green tomato was delicious. Everything was ready quickly. We didn't have to wait to hear our name over a busy crowd. We were handed a beeper that alerted us when our meal was ready. Bangin' Vegan Eats is a cool black and green food truck trailer which often pairs up with local breweries, distilleries, and event venues. If you are a CARNIVORE like me and skeptical, don't be! At a minimum order the Bangin Hunny Garlic fried cauliflower, there's no way anyone doesn't like them. Make sure you get the "ranch" to dip them in. You can tell this truck takes the time to prepare the food to make it right for you. They don't just slop something together, you will notice this in the foods presentation compared to other food trucks. Loaded fries were good, but I'd personally like them more without the Mac n cheese. There was something off tasting about the Mac that I couldn't get past. I had the opportunity to try this food truck at the Fire Fly Distillery Food Truck Festival. There were many trucks to choose from however after the many positive things I've heard about this truck, I had to give them a try. I ordered the southerner or it may have been called the dirty southerner either way it was very good. It was my first time trying a black bean patty but I really liked it. The pimento cheese, fried green tomato, and pineapple chutney all worked very well together. It was very flavorful! The customer service was friendly and the food was good however, I'm not sure I would pay $18.00 for it again if I'm being honest but I would recommend trying them to anyone that hasn't. read more

Wow! Went for a little walk and stumbled upon their food truck. I went for the Hunny Garlic Bangers and OMG, so good! It was Bangin'. It was bussin'. No cap! I went home to have my kids try it and they didn't even realize it was vegan. They thought they were eating chicken. They are on this anti-vegan kick (because social media, I guess), but they kept coming back for more! My other kid said the fries were good too. He's a picky eater, even with fries... This little food truck is so good, and you'd never even know it was vegan! They were at a brewery and my friend and I decided to try it out, even though we are meat eaters. We started with the hunny garlic bangers upon the recommendation of the lady taking orders (who had a lot of great suggestions and info btw). They were so crispy and incredibly flavorful- my friend actually attempted to lick the sauce off the bottom of the plate! We both ordered the thic chic burger because the people next to us were raving about it. They had just the right amount of heat and the mac and cheese in the sandwich was a brilliant addition. The 'chicken' didn't really have the consistency of chicken, but honestly we didn't care because again, the flavors are so great. I went with the special menu item, the Philly Cheeze Steak, and upgraded my side of fries to their Mac Attack fries. I was lucky enough to try Bangin' food truck at the Vegfest in Wilmington. My friend and I really were just exploring food (we are not vegan) and decided on the Bangin fries and the Cauliflower buffalo wings. We were in awe at how delicious both our meals were and also how filling. The fries came with mac and cheese on them and a delicious sauce, while my "wings" had ranch drizzled on them and were the perfect amount of heat. Wow! I had bookmarked this food truck in hopes that I would be able to find it somewhere while I was in town and I was happy to come across the Beyond Bangin' Brunch at Beyond Distillery this weekend. The event was from 10-2 so I figured I come around noon for lunch. When I arrived, the line was pretty long but I still waited. The owner came out a few minutes later, literally with tears of happiness that there was such a great turnout and she hadn't anticipated so many people. She let everyone know that a few items were sold out. I was happy the Monte Cristo was not one of them! I waited in line for a little longer and then she came back out stating that she was pretty much sold out and that she would finish making the tickets that were already ordered and update anyone who wanted to continue waiting in hopes that there would be some items still available. Most people left but I mingled for a bit and bought some sweets at the Little Sprout pop up. I'm glad I waited because she ended up having enough to make 5 more Monte Cristo's and some Crunchwraps. My lucky day!! When the food came out, it was absolutely delicious!! I talked with her for a bit and let her know how pleased I was. If you're ever around for an event or see this food truck around town, you must get something!! This food truck is legit. Full disclosure: I am primarily a carnivore but occasionally take excursions into vegetarianism. I tried the hunny garlic bangers, and WOW. What a treat. Cauliflower can be tricky, but these bangers were fried to perfection. The batter was crispy on the outside and cauliflower nicely cooked inside-- neither soggy nor hard. You can actually tell you're eating a vegetable and not some processed junk. And the sauce was incredible: a little sweet, a little savory, with the right amount of heat and sesame/scallion garnish. I am not usually a huge fan of sauces, but Bangin' Vegan Eats nails this. I know I'm going to crave this dish when I'm back in NYC. For the money, the portion size is good. Enough for 2 people to share as an appetizer, or if you're like me, eat it all by myself! The best thing is that even though the bites are fried, I did not feel heavy or gross afterward.
