It's small but appears clean. The maximum seat capacity is 15, if that tells you anything. We got the Pad Thai with Chicken and Drunken Noodles with beef. Both were really good. The flavor was good and the quantity is plenty. We also got the veg spring rolls. They were huge (failed to take photo) and the outside was done perfectly with crisp, however the middle was still a bit cold. Still ate them! Worth a try and a good Thai option for the area! My wife and I and another couple ate here Tuesday night. The food was OK, my wife had the sesame chicken and it was the best meal of the bunch. The problem occurred with the bill. I ran to the bathroom and my wife paid the bill with my credit card. Waitress, Molly H, told my wife my card would not scan so she used her card, the same account. However, my card worked fine at Meijer the next day. When we got home I checked our credit card statement and found a charge for $65, our bill was $54.17. This is a solid Thai option if in the Battle Creek area. While there are definitely better options in other cities, especially bigger cities, Thai Flavor had the variety and core components down for a good Thai spot. We enjoyed the Pad Thai and Bangkok Fried Rice, both with chicken. We also had the Kew Wan with chicken, but found it under seasoned and a little "one note" on the palate. Enjoyed the Chicken Curry Pad Tai. I ordered at a spiciness level of Medium Plus, trying to hit the equivalent of slightly grilled jalapeños. I think they nailed it being slightly on the milder side. Not bad for Battle Creek! I haven't found a Thai mainstay in southwest Michigan until now. A coworker recommended it so we came together as a group. There was only one girl working as a server and she was slammed with the lunch rush. I was amazed by her ability to manage! Props! I had the: *Tofu Pad See Ew - Medium heat. It was almost pad thai-like in color but BUT flavors were good. It actually packed some good heat too. I brought over the dried chili to add on it, but it didn't really need it. It was also a really generous portion for $7.95! I wish there were more veggies, but next time I know! I'm also glad that there was not a soggy noodle in sight! *Thai tea - this leaned a bit sweet for me so I diluted it and got about 2.5 drinks out of it! Great complement. I honestly do not know where to begin the long black hair that was in my food would probably be a good place to start. Before everyone jumps the gun thinking I don't know what I'm talking about with Thai food I have lived in Thailand I regularly cook Thai food at home with recipes I learned from chefs in Thailand. This is by far one of the worst representations of traditional Thai food I have ever eaten. To start with their Thai tea should be made fresh as most tea should be this is not it is made for my powder you can tell by the granular's left at the bottom of my glass this is a very cheap way of making crappy tea. It is cheaper to make the tea per order then it is to buy the powder so why a traditional Thai restaurant would not make Thai iced tea is beyond me. I ordered the Lad Na this is a very traditional dish served throughout Thailand which should be done with wide rice noodles and a soy bean gravy sauce typically with some vegetables including broccoli leafy greens etc. in many years of ordering Thai food I have never had it served with onions do to onions tend to affect the flavor of a dish and they are not recommended with this particular one. The sauce should be a brown soy bean gravy type sauce this is bright red in color similar to sweet and sour coloration as far as flavor it is as far from correct as I have ever tasted. The only thing that was tying about this restaurant was the Decour. There may be Thai people in the kitchen but that does not mean they understand how to cook traditional Thai food you would be better off at a PF Chang's ordering boiled chicken and noodles and calling it pad Thai. Anyone who is looking for decent Thai food should avoid this restaurant at all cost I would not recommend it to anyone. The flavors are atrocious the meat taste undercooked this is a restaurant that has not closed due to Covid but should close due to everything else. read more
