The food is amazing. Seriously. I have yet to order anything that I haven't loved. No notes. But 3 stars because every-time I have ordered from there, there was something missing from the order. I ordered for 5 people each time. Not a ton of items. All fits in the one bag. But every single time an item was missing. Either an entree or a side or something. I call and they refund me. But we are still missing food. Also, it is a take out only place. That's your only thing. If you don't have a system down pat then what are you doing? Was looking for takeout. Ordered two Vermicelli pork, and a beef w/ broccoli rice dish. The food was satisfactory, in terms of taste and portion. The issue was finding two hairs in the Vermicelli when we put it on a plate to serve. It's takeout so could it have been our own hair? Well there were two short hairs found on both sides of the plate (only one pictured). Only my wife handled the dish and her hair is longer so it wasn't ours. Overall the food was good, we were hungry and ate it anyway. Don't think we found anything in the second Vermicelli. 4 stars but minus 1 for the hairs. read more

Food was very authentic! Khao sou had perfect amount of spice, packed with flavor, and appreciated that they separated the soup from the contents for our to-go order so it didn't get soggy. I was a little surprised to find pork floss in the pineapple fried rice, but overall the rice had great balance of flavor without over spicing, and enough sweetness from pineapple actually cooked into it. Pad Thai, despite being cult classic, varies so much restaurant to restaurant and this place does it how I personally like it. Panang duck curry was on point, a little on the spicier side. Thai teas were same as most Thai teas, nothing special but always delicious. Pad see ew was the only dish that did not impress me, a little too sweet and a little too much sauce, while the noodles were a little too soft for me. I would've liked it with a springier chew and a slight more char from a wok. Overall great food and my parents loved it! read more

It is horrible that the restaurant people microwaved sticky rice in a plastic bag for a mango rice dessert I ordered. I accidentally saw the lady did that and the plastic bag was totally broken and melted after microwaved, and she tried to move the rice out from the melted plastic bag and place to another bowl. I was shocked that she did that because plastic bag isn't microwavable. it is kind like put poison in the foods. The Even worse thing is, she explained it is the way her boss trained her to do so, which means I have eaten a lot of plastic from this restaurant because I ordered a few times of this mango rice dessert before. Be advised that they are takeout only. I am from out of town so I didn't know. I came here thinking I would be able to eat in. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The staff greeted me when I walked in, and I placed my order at the counter for Pad Thai and the chicken wings. They did not ask me about how spicy I wanted my pad thai, which was a little strange to me. I asked for some chili flakes to go. My food took about 10 minutes, and I was on my way back to the hotel. The food smelled through the bag, which was a good sign. I got back to the hotel and opened my bag, the food was packed well and still hot. The chicken wings were delicious!! I didn't even use the side sauce. The pad thai was good, and the portion was big, but it was a little dry. I wish they would have packed some soy sauce and fish sauce in the bag. I like to adjust my food to my liking to make it a little more flavorful. I am really glad that I asked for the chili flakes. I would come back here for the wings alone. Food was so good! I wish i took a picture first but i had the shrimp donuts with this sweet sauce. So good! And order Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with beef and had chicken as well. Also the Thai spicy beef salad was super flavorful just like how i make it at home. Definitely recommend this place if you are craving Thai food or in the area . I came here because of the many great reviews but left very disappointed. I ordered the ginger chicken and the chicken pho. The pho was very underwhelming, it was a very nice portion of noodles and chicken but lacked flavor. Same with the ginger chicken, unfortunately was very bland. Maybe we will try the Thai dishes next time as those seem to have the better reviews on here, but will not be coming back for pho. About the service, I was in line waiting to order when another person walked in. There was a very tall guy in front of me finishing his order and paying, and when it was my turn the lady at the counter completely ignored me and asked the person that had just walked in what he wanted to order. I'm not sure if she just didn't see me because I was behind this super tall guy or if she just deliberately decided to skip me, I had been waiting for a while and was starving, so that was not appreciated. read more

Friendly woman took my phone order, it was ready in 15 minutes. The Chicken Tom Kha Soup was excellent, loaded with perfectly-cooked shredded chicken. The flavor was nicely balanced. Also exceptional was the Khao Soi Chicken Noodle Bowl. There was a huge chicken thigh and the curry broth was flavorful and not spicy. The tofu & veggie pad Thai was very good, a good ratio of tofu and veggies to noodles. The house pork fried rice had large tender slices of pork and lots of Chinese broccoli, the dish was mildly seasoned and had a hint of sweetness. The containers were tightly sealed. This place is really special. We ordered takeout for New Year's Eve, and I haven't had food like this in a long time -- flavorful, beautifully cooked, and deftly nuanced. There is so much love in this cooking! We ordered veggie Pad Thai with tofu, green curry, crispy rolls, and Crab Rangoon. All of the dishes were so delicious, particularly the Pad Thai and curry -- what I love about the Pad Thai is that it isn't dry, it's generously sauced and perfectly cooked. The curry was nice and spicy, in a good way. E-yum. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. As other reviewers have stated, there isn't any seating, it's takeout-only, so be sure to pick up one of their nicely designed menus to peruse even more goodies. I'm visiting from out of town, and I was blown away by this Thai spot in Lexington, of all places. As of Dec 2023, they are takeout only, but we only waited 15 minutes for our food. Everything was amazing! We got the pad Thai, duck penang curry, curry puffs, beef noodle soup and roti + curry sauce. My faves were the duck Penang curry and beef noodle soup. The beef and duck were so tender. Portions are great and dishes were packaged thoughtfully for takeout. I will be coming back! I tried this place for lunch, being just a quick drive from my workplace. It is take-out only now but looks like they might have had inside dining once. In the small basic waiting area there were 2 or 3 tables for two and a counter with stools so they probably had indoor dining once. Pretty basic decor but clean and comfortable for waiting. I got the Tom Yum Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. The order was ready pretty quickly and I ended up eating in the car while it was still hot. Think of standard Pad Thai, enhanced with the flavors of Tom Yum soup. An interesting concept that was new to me. But it fell far from its potential. First impression: it was excessively oily, not in a good way. The shrimps were large and a generous quantity (6 I believe). And while they tasted fresh they also somehow lacked much flavor, and two of them still had their "veins". Understandable with tiny shrimp but unacceptable with large ones. The chicken, cut into thin strips, was very dry and chewy; overcooked? The scrambled egg was too broken up and dispersed as tiny shreds. The peanuts were too finely chopped. On the positive side the basil was fresh, vibrantly green and copious, and added interest, and the Tom Yum seasonings were well-balanced and added a nuance not found in the standard dish. 3 stars for the food, 5 for price and quantity, 5 for service, 2 for ambience. 3 stars overall. But there's another issue: menu selection. There are no "lunch specials"; combo plates with maybe an appetizer, a soup or salad, and an entree. Sure I could have got all three but then I'd have spent probably $30 and had food for 3 days when all I wanted was an interesting lunch, not a huge plate of Pad Thai. For that reason alone I doubt I'd return if it was just myself looking for lunch during a midday work break. I won't deduct a star for that but I'll be looking elsewhere next time. read more

Asian restaurants in Boston's western suburbs go through a cycle from new, exciting, and authentic to complacent, americanized, and generic, Meh. Kin Dee is in the early/best part of that cycle. Shrimp doughnut appetizer was phenomenal! They explode apart in your mouth! I appreciated that the breading that was not excessively oiley or crispy. Nice consistency and flavor to the sweet dipping sauce. The boat noodle was good. Reasonable portion size, very strong/flavorful broth (should have saved it for leftovers), tender grilled pork, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh crunchy toppings. Wife enjoyed the "ba mi moopu" - chewy egg noodle, sweet marinated grilled pork, lots of crab! Thai tea was above average - nice and strong with soft ice. "Longan pandan" drink was good as well - not overly sweet like which i appreciate. Very clean! Service was fast and the staff seemed cheerful. If I had to nitpick, they need more seating and Im glad the the to go containers weren't styrofoam but I wish they weren't plastic. read more

Excellent addition to Lexington for Thai food. They also have Vietnamese food as well. Which I plan to try soon. I thought the food was fresh and delicious, loads of flavor. I particularly loved the som tum (papaya salad). It had fresh crisp lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and papaya all with flavor and had a nice heat, which is how I prefer it. I look forward to coming here again as a go to Thai place. The prices were also very reasonable and the portions seemed generous.
