Best chicken wing korean style in town
Annie B.

Delicious food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. Can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again and again. I would like to recommend fried chicken wing korean style it's was very delicious. I've always order it every time i come to the restaurant, Best Thai food in town.

They grow their own Thai basil and chilies here. The waiter said they had too much and gave us some! Very homey, feels family owned.

Our bill charging us sweet and sour tofu while giving us the fried tofu tot.

We came here for lunch and ordered a few items. We wanted the crispy tofu but accidentally ordered the wrong one which was sweet and sour tofu. We asked if we could get it exchanged so she took away the wrong order and gave us the fried tofu. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see sweet and sour tofu in the bill. We asked about it and were told that since the order was 'already made', they would still charge us the higher price of the wrong item while giving us the lesser cost item. For real?! We ordered so many items too, not just a 1 item each that our bill totaled nearly $100. This just leave a bad taste in the mouth for us. It's a disgusting trick in treating their customers. We will never come back here.

3. Fresh Roll (chicken or shrimp)
Ara A.

First time here, remembered when it used to be a Hawaiian restaurant. Anyway, craving Thai and didn't have to go to my regular spot. Started with fresh rolls they come with 3 rolls so we had 2 chicken 1 shrimp. Nice to be able to choose since I wanted shrimp n hubby wanted chicken. Also had a papaya salad, unfortunately not as good as others as it wasn't freshly grated as they are best fresh. For lunch I had the red curry with beef and it was slightly bland like it needed fish sauce or some or it was too watery. Hubby had the basil chicken stir fry Ka pra, the sauce was excellent. The entrees could use more protein as it was lacking in that department. Lots of veggies.

39. Pad See-Iw, Coconut Soup, & Thai Iced Tea

This location used to be Aloha Hawaiian BBQ, but it recently opened as a Thai restaurant. I came in on a whim and the flavor did not disappoint. My pad si ew came with a salad. I always love Thai salads because of how refreshing they are with their ginger dressing. The noodle dish itself was delightful. The broccoli, egg, and sauce comes together so well with the meat and flat noodles. Along with the main entree, I ordered the coconut soup. It's always made so perfectly. Good for a sick day or just for a flavor party on your tastebuds. I always order a Thai iced tea whenever I come in. The large cup comes at a reasonable price. It beats going to a boba shop. I don't crave Thai food too often, but when I do, I know I can rely on this place to serve deliciousness! The food is quality and authentic!

Pad See-Iw Jay (V)

The flavor was good but the portions are way too small for the price. Maybe I was spoiled where I used to live but my leftovers were more than what I got for my whole dinner from here. I could count number the broccoli sprouts in my meal. None of these ingredients are expensive so I don't understand why they only give a small bowl of noodles for $15. I wish there was more value for the money spent. I will try somewhere else next time.

Pad Thai

I thought it was okay. First Thai restaurant that we tried in this area. I got the pad Thai and my fiancé got the duck. The pad Thai tasted like food court pad Thai, but the duck was really good. We both got the Thai iced tea which was huge but had too much milk. All in all I would come back and try something else.

I started with the chicken spring rolls, and they were perfect. Light, crisp, and clearly made fresh. The wrapper had that delicate crunch that never feels greasy, and the filling was flavorful and balanced. The dipping sauce tied everything together with just the right sweet tang. Then came the red curry... and honestly, this is where they won me over completely. I have eaten a lot of Thai food over the years, at restaurants all over, and this was by far the best red curry I have ever had. The coconut curry was incredibly rich but not heavy, with deep layers of flavor that tasted slow crafted rather than rushed. The spice level warmed you without overpowering the dish, and every bite tasted intentional. The chicken was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the sauce was so good I didn't want to leave a drop behind. You can tell when a restaurant cooks with pride and care, and this place absolutely does. Friendly service, comforting atmosphere, and food that genuinely stands out from the crowd. If you're anywhere near Virginia Beach and craving Thai, do yourself a favor and go. I will absolutely be back and already can't wait for my next visit.

This is as authentic as it gets! When I ate her noodles I felt like I was invited into her home. Service is typical of an authentic restaurant. You order, get your food, and you pay. Don't expect them to check in on you. I wish the place was more modern but it does have a hole in the wall feel to it

We've dined here many times over the years, and one thing keeps bringing us back--the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. We started the evening with an order of Chicken Satay served with a creamy peanut dipping sauce. The chicken arrived perfectly grilled, tender, and piping hot. The peanut sauce had just enough spice to complement the savory flavors without overpowering them. It was an excellent way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we decided to split an order of Chicken Pad Thai. Bangkok Garden offers several spice levels to accommodate every palate, but we kept it simple tonight and chose Level 3. It turned out to be the perfect choice--mild enough to appreciate the balance of flavors, yet with just enough heat to keep things interesting. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken was tender, and the combination of eggs, bean sprouts, green onions, garlic, and cabbage created a dish that was both satisfying and full of authentic Thai flavor. A squeeze of fresh lime and a sprinkle of crushed peanuts brought everything together beautifully. If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine--or if you've been looking for a great place to experience it for the first time--Bangkok Garden is well worth a visit. Consistently excellent food, generous portions, and friendly service have kept us coming back, and I suspect they'll do the same for you. By supporting restaurants like Bangkok Garden, you're also supporting the local businesses that help make Hampton Roads such a great place to dine. Overall: Highly recommended.

Their service is always stellar, very humble and accommodating with plenty of smiles! I always get my food quickly and it's always fresh and full of rich flavor. Their locations are beautifully decorated and you really feel like you stepped into another land. A waitress appeared out of nowhere to serve us and took our orders. All of a sudden another waitress comes out to sweep the floors while we were eating our salads and I thought that was pretty rude. You had all this time before a customer comes in and you start sweeping while were eating. The food was good, lunch portions and price was decent. Kids chicken fried rice, small Tom Yum shrimp soup but the shrimp was tough and had a very strong taste, pad woon Sen with pork, pad see ew with tofu and vegetables, fried tempura tofu and a side salad. Good place for vegans since they have a section on the menu. The tips were added to the total after the taxes were added so be aware. Getting a waitresses attention was hard since they were on the other side of the wall eating their lunch and on their phones. The decor seemed like a diner or something with Thai decorations and the bathroom was spacious but pretty worn down and a lot of dust on the fan above.
