I always love a good "hole in the wall"!! This place is tucked away in Food Lion shopping center near Naval station Norfolk. Hidden gem with a robot food sever! One of the best Thai fried rice I've tasted. Fair prices as well. Pad se yew wasn't the best I've ever had but it was delicious as well! Will definitely go here again!

Tried it on a whim and glad I did. Good quality food. I do carry out but was impressed by service at the counter.

Ordered dinner from Uber Eats: Tofu Pad Thai, Tofu Massaman Curry, Sticky Rice with Mango. Overall, good. I asked for a bit of spice in the meals, and they were both well balanced. The Pad Thai was on the sweeter side and a very small portion size. I usually have leftovers from other places that serve theirs in the Styrofoam container, but I finished this off in one sitting. I'm dissapointed with this fact. I liked the Massaman Curry. Good flavor and balance of tofu and veggies, etc. This also felt like a smaller serving than I'm used to. Sticky rice was good.

Great pic right? It's not good. I'm sorry.

Beautiful looking food that is just not very beautiful tasting. Thai guy here. I'm saddened to write this review because I typically don't try to make reviews like this. With that said, maybe down the road I can try this place again, and the results will opposite. I also understand and appreciate all the efforts during Covid, and the fact take out food is never as good as dining in. This just wasn't the case. The food just wasn't good. The Lard Na was very watery, and the amount of noodles provided was paltry (considering how much you pay for it). Compared to every other Thai place here, this place gives you the least. And 13 dollars wasted. The shrimp fried rice was just plain. I can't say it any other way. Very under flavored and some of the peas tasted like they weren't cooked all the way. Another 13 dollars wasted. The Papaya salad was just aweful. Beautiful looking yes, but at first bite, just terrible. The Papaya was flavored with what tasted like just lemon/lime juice and nothing else. I tried to eat a couple more bites thinking maybe deeper in the bowl, it would taste better. It did not. I ended up just tossing it. Another Ten dollars wasted. Just a bad day.

They kept our water glasses full the entire time. The food was really good. They accommodate gluten free and are knowledgable about allergies. The gluten free pad Thai and the yellow chicken curry were both great. The curry had a little bit of a kick to it, so not for people with low spice tolerance. My brother got the Thai iced tea and found it to be too sweet. Since the tea itself is pre sweetened when it's prepped, there wasn't much they could do to fix it for him.

I started with the chicken spring rolls, and they were perfect. Light, crisp, and clearly made fresh. The wrapper had that delicate crunch that never feels greasy, and the filling was flavorful and balanced. The dipping sauce tied everything together with just the right sweet tang. Then came the red curry... and honestly, this is where they won me over completely. I have eaten a lot of Thai food over the years, at restaurants all over, and this was by far the best red curry I have ever had. The coconut curry was incredibly rich but not heavy, with deep layers of flavor that tasted slow crafted rather than rushed. The spice level warmed you without overpowering the dish, and every bite tasted intentional. The chicken was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the sauce was so good I didn't want to leave a drop behind. You can tell when a restaurant cooks with pride and care, and this place absolutely does. Friendly service, comforting atmosphere, and food that genuinely stands out from the crowd. If you're anywhere near Virginia Beach and craving Thai, do yourself a favor and go. I will absolutely be back and already can't wait for my next visit.

I was told to wait about 10 minutes even though there were plenty of open tables, which was a little odd. That said, the inside is gorgeous. Dark, moody lighting, very quiet, and they also have a nice bar area. I came with friends to celebrate our birthdays, and overall we had a really good experience. I ordered the laab, and it was delicious and even approved by my half-Thai friend! My friends ordered the pad kee mao. They weren't impressed with the thickness of the noodles, but they really liked how balanced the spice and flavors were. I'm pretty moderate when it comes to spice, so I ordered a level 3 and thought it was perfect. My friends got levels 4 and 5 and said they probably could have gone even higher. The service ended up being great. Our drinks were never empty, and our server was super nice and attentive. Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would definitely come back!

We've dined here many times over the years, and one thing keeps bringing us back--the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. We started the evening with an order of Chicken Satay served with a creamy peanut dipping sauce. The chicken arrived perfectly grilled, tender, and piping hot. The peanut sauce had just enough spice to complement the savory flavors without overpowering them. It was an excellent way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we decided to split an order of Chicken Pad Thai. Bangkok Garden offers several spice levels to accommodate every palate, but we kept it simple tonight and chose Level 3. It turned out to be the perfect choice--mild enough to appreciate the balance of flavors, yet with just enough heat to keep things interesting. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken was tender, and the combination of eggs, bean sprouts, green onions, garlic, and cabbage created a dish that was both satisfying and full of authentic Thai flavor. A squeeze of fresh lime and a sprinkle of crushed peanuts brought everything together beautifully. If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine--or if you've been looking for a great place to experience it for the first time--Bangkok Garden is well worth a visit. Consistently excellent food, generous portions, and friendly service have kept us coming back, and I suspect they'll do the same for you. By supporting restaurants like Bangkok Garden, you're also supporting the local businesses that help make Hampton Roads such a great place to dine. Overall: Highly recommended.
