My wife's Vegetable eggroll or something, I actually think it's called something else tho.

Okay, This is just one of the restaurants myself and wife dined @ while in Virginia Beach, Va for the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend... So the food was absolutely "A-M-A-Z-I-N-G" I know I had the Spicy Chicken Pad Thai which was OMG so good. We had a few drinks but I can't remember the name of them. I also got some curry chicken wit' potatoes appetizer; It was like a samosa. The customer service was A+ and our food & drinks came out fast, hot, and delicious! If you're in the area , stop by and do your taste buds & stomach a favor!

I wanted a light lunch and came in for some Tom Yum soup and a Larb Gai salad. The staff was very appreciative to have us there. Though they weren't busy while we were there, it's clearly popular based on the very nice reviews. Their menu has all the popular, typical Thai fare and several soups to choose from as well. Their Tom Yum was pretty good! Nice, robust flavor and fresh ingredients. Their larb gai was amazing! They serve it 'lettuce wrap' style, with all the ingredient pre-assembled in little Romain boats which were very easy to pick up and eat and they weren't messy. Flavors were great and the ingredients were very fresh. I would definitely come back here for Thai food!

Chicken Tom Yum Soup and Crab Rangoon with Shrimp Rolls

We got a chance to visit during VB restaurant week and did a mix of two dinner options to really sample the menu. Let's just say every plate was clean when it went back to the kitchen. Our favorite was the Tom Yum soup here, very refreshing and perfect for this winter weather. The servers were very polite and made great conversation. We are already planning our next visit.

I went to Thai Aroy with a friend during Restaurant Week, where they were offering a three-course meal for either $25 or $35. I chose the $25 option, which included an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. For the appetizer, I picked the shrimp rolls and crab rangoons. You get two shrimp rolls and four crab rangoons with a side of sauce. It was a really solid starter--perfect to hold you over until the main dish. I also loved that it was a duo, so you didn't have to choose between the two. That was definitely a plus. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp pad thai, and this was actually my first time ever trying pad thai. I wanted to try something different, and I'm so glad I did because it was really, really good. I would honestly go back just for this dish alone. The shrimp was cooked well, the noodles had the perfect amount of flavor, and the portion size was very satisfying. No complaints at all. For dessert, you can choose between coconut ice cream or fried bananas. My friend got the coconut ice cream, and I got the fried bananas, and we ended up splitting both. Together? Delicious. They do offer them together as part of the $35 option, but since we both did the $25, we just shared--and it worked out perfectly. The customer service was also great. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. They kept our table clean, cleared plates quickly after each course, and checked on us throughout the meal. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and happy to give recommendations. Overall, I would definitely go back to try more of their food. This was a really good experience from start to finish.

Great atmosphere, fresh and delicious food. Wanted to check it out for a long time, should have done it earlier!

Got the pad Thai with chicken and beef, crispy rolls, and southern curry with chicken and shrimp for take out. Everything was very delicious! The curry could've used a tad more salt to bring out the flavors, but overall it was a good serving and was tasty. The shrimp was AMAZING. So fresh and big! The chicken in the pad Thai and the rolls were a bit dry, but the lime and sauce provided helped. Would definitely come back and would highly recommend!

Have been out of the area for a bit. Returned and ordered the same dishes I ordered over 11 yrs ago, tom kha soup and pad thai. Still freaking delicious. Staff was professional, thorough and fast. I am so happy they are still here!

Thai Arroy is a cozy restaurant nestled in Virginia Beach. This simple eatery offers some of the most tastiest Thai dishes I've ever had. And to top it off, the service was genuinely wonderful. The owner was very warm and welcoming. My family and I came to Thai Arroy for dinner and we ordered several dishes to share family-style. Here are the dishes we ordered: * Papaya Salad - Crisp, sour, sweet, salty, crunchy and fresh. This was a perfect appetizer and side to pair with our dishes. * Crab Fried Rice - This was a crowd favorite with generous lumps of real crab meat. Squeeze some lime juice for a brighter flavor! * Chicken Tom Yum (Hot Pot Lemongrass Soup) - Probably one of the best Tom Yum I've had and much better than the ones I've had in California. This flavorful soup had a generous helping of chicken and veggies and came out piping hot! * Pad Woon Sen (Baked bean Thread Noodle) - This was a smaller portion. There is a strong ginger flavor, which I haven't tasted at other Thai places. It's not bad, it was just unexpected. I prefer the Pad Woon Sen from President Thai in SoCal. * Chicken Wings - Flavorful and garlicky. * Thai E Sarn Sausage - Wow! I loved the bold flavor of this sausage. This was a hit with our table. * Thai Pork Belly - Really good pork belly. It had a good balance of crunchy skin and tender meat, with just enough fat to give great flavor. It came with sauce and a cup of rice. * Roasted Garlic Whole Fish - The best dish of the night! We ordered the XL size and it was so worth every penny. First off, the presentation was unlike anything I've seen. They used the skeletal bones (the vertebrae) along with the head to be used as a platter to hold up the tender and crispy pieces of fish. It was garnished with fragrant cilantro and crunchy cucumber. The lime sauce over the fried fish was delicious! Loved how light the batter was because you can still taste fish. I would order this again! * Mango and Sticky Rice - A perfect way to end our dinner. We ordered a couple of these to share between our table. So so good! Our family enjoyed one of our last nights in VA at Thai Arroy, which translates to "Delicious Thai [Food]" and, indeed, it was arroy mak mak (very, very delicious). I will be back the next time I'm in Virginia Beach.

    Massaman and Nam Tok
    Chup K.

Vegetable Rolls were good. Everything else (Massaman, Panang and Grilled Beef Salad - Nam Tok) was subpar. Living in Thailand, I have higher expectations than most. The curries were bland and Nam Tok which usually has tons of flavor was barely flavorful. Really disappointed since most reviews were good. Definitely would not order from here again. Also overpriced for what you get!

Yummmmmm! This is close to our new house and right near my in-laws so we've been driving past this for quite a while. Tonight my husband suggested Thai so we came over for dinner to give it a try finally. Not super busy inside on a Friday night but a good crowd - a bunch of tables had just cleared so I think we missed a rush. We were seated immediately once a table was cleared and ordered Crab Rangoons and Thai dumplings with a Thai tea and hot green tea. I ordered the Red Curry with shrimp and sticky rice. Phenomenal. Soooo good. Omg. Slightly spicy but legit sticky rice and so much veggies and flavor. A lot of shrimp in the dish and great size as well. This had zuchinni, red bell pepper, peas, green beans, carrots and baby corn in the mix. Noms! My husband got the Mr. Greens with broccoli, green beans and another green veggie I can't remember with beef as his protein and it was in a very light sauce with brown rice. Excellent flavor and quality. Super fresh. Service was great and food was stellar. Probably the best Thai I've had in this area. Will def be back!

    Crab Rangoon!

Cute little Thai restaurant located in a tiny strip mall! We found it while searching on google for Thai spots near our hotel on the boardwalk. Make sure you don't try going on Tuesdays! That's the only day they're closed. We ended up going on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and the place was pretty much empty except maybe one or two other customers. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We got their crab Rangoon, vegetable pad Thai, Penang curry and Thai tea! My husband is a huge fan of crab Rangoon so he thoroughly enjoyed those. I wish they were a bit bigger though. The vegetable pad Thai was good, the fish sauce wasn't too strong, which I like! The only downside was the curry, I'm used to a thicker sauce and theirs was very thin and runny. There was barely any curry for it being a curry dish, we had to ask for more but they weren't able to make more at that point. Maybe ask for extra curry when you're ordering if you actually want curry in your dish! Other than that everything else tasted great! A bit pricey for the meal but they are located in a tourist area so that's probably why their prices are high. I personally probably would not come back, I would try other Thai locations in the area. But this one wasn't too bad!

My favorite Thai restaurant in town. The tom yom soup is phenomenal. The Thai basil with ground chicken is also delicious. The staff is also very friendly!

    Ambiance

Let me cut to the chase. TOM KHA. If you haven't indulged in this heavenly delight - then do it. I love this fricking place. People are always so kind and the food is yum. Yelp wants me to consider ambiance... But how can I do that when all I can think about that TOM KHA. Big Dog - OUT.

I started with the chicken spring rolls, and they were perfect. Light, crisp, and clearly made fresh. The wrapper had that delicate crunch that never feels greasy, and the filling was flavorful and balanced. The dipping sauce tied everything together with just the right sweet tang. Then came the red curry... and honestly, this is where they won me over completely. I have eaten a lot of Thai food over the years, at restaurants all over, and this was by far the best red curry I have ever had. The coconut curry was incredibly rich but not heavy, with deep layers of flavor that tasted slow crafted rather than rushed. The spice level warmed you without overpowering the dish, and every bite tasted intentional. The chicken was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the sauce was so good I didn't want to leave a drop behind. You can tell when a restaurant cooks with pride and care, and this place absolutely does. Friendly service, comforting atmosphere, and food that genuinely stands out from the crowd. If you're anywhere near Virginia Beach and craving Thai, do yourself a favor and go. I will absolutely be back and already can't wait for my next visit.

It was just a few pieces scattered throughout the dish. The noodles themselves were bland and dry. I recooked the food and seasoned it and it was better! I added sesame oil, chili crunch, garlic, kewpie, green onions, and sauce. The leftover bowl came out as one big stuck together noodle when we opened it. So we ate it kinda clumped together. If they'd add more sauce and flavor to the dishes, it could be more enjoyable. Or even offer a side of sauce to add extra if needed, that would be good. I prefer to order their food and spruce it up myself saving me time instead of cooking a whole meal. But it would be nice if it came ready to eat and tasty. Our waitress was friendly, and Toi exceeded our expectations, helping create one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The drinks arrived quickly, followed shortly by our food. The pork wontons were packed with flavorful meat--no cream cheese filler--and were absolutely fantastic. The calamari was lightly breaded and paired perfectly with the authentic Thai sriracha sauce. The star of the evening was the crab fried rice. It was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the spicy duck stir-fry, which was fresh, tender, and had no gamey flavor whatsoever.
