I haven't been here in months but decided to stop by for dinner. I've had their grilled steak salad which was one of the reasons why I came but they removed it off the menu due to time and short staff. Super disappointed but we left satisfied! We ordered Pad Thai, Thai Papaya Salad, and a mini Thai Boat. Pad Thai was super yummy. It has a nice balance of sweet and savory and it's extra saucy. Papaya salad was delicious. Thai Boat was just okay. The broth was super thick which was overwhelming. The inside is quite small and they do get busy here.

The place is a small hidden place hidden in the back of a plaza. You probably won't find it unless you are using yelp! When we got in, the place seem like a small place but we were immediately greeted and seated. We ordered a bunch of things to try it out. First off, we ordered the crab ragoon and pork belly as appetizers. It came out super fresh and was delicious. For the noodle dish we ordered phad thai and pa kra ko. Both were delicious and came out hot and fresh. Lastly, I got the thai boat noodle. The broth was rich and it was quite delicious. If you are in the area, then give this place a try!

My second visit here after about 3 months and was pretty disappointed in the service this time around. It was quite busy, we came on a Friday night around 6PM and it took about 30 minutes for our order to be taken and then another hour to get our food. We were starving by the time we got our entrées and they've changed their hours to closing at 8PM (not updated online) so we had to quickly eat as they were closing in 40 minutes by the time we got our food. The food was really good as usual but the service was not as good as last time. We were not checked up on throughout the entire time other than the few times I went up to the counter to ask about our order. They were quick to give us the check and charge our card though and as we were eating, many people came to get their pick up orders but they were not ready so they were waiting quite awhile too. Not sure if I would come back anytime soon but I would avoid weekend nights just in case.

The foods here are delicious. This time around, I ordered for pickup. It was ready pretty quick. The pork belly laab and the stir fry pork belly was good but alittle too hard. Will definitely go back for more and try other dishes on their menu.

This was mid really. Flavor wasn't bad, but would I come back for it? No not for the boat noodle but maybe I would try something else.

We visited Bangkok Thai to place a takeout order for lunch. They weren't very busy on a Sunday, but we were also pretty early. The interior had lots of Thai decor, including large statues and intricate wall art. The vibe was casual and they had plenty of indoor seating. I ordered the Fresh Rolls and Deep Fried Dumplings with chicken, as well as a Thai Iced Green Tea. The rest of my coworkers chose noodle dishes - Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Service was friendly and pretty fast. My Thai Iced Green Tea was tasty but honestly too sweet for me - sweeter than most regular Thai Iced Teas, I think. The Deep Fried Dumplings were tasty and I liked the two sauces drizzled on top. I also liked the Fresh Rolls, but these were quite different than I had expected. Usually, they're cut into smaller pieces, but these came as two huge ones - almost like burritos. They also had cold noodles inside, which I wasn't expecting. The peanut sauce was great though! My coworkers had been asked what spice levels they wanted for their noodle dishes and all chose between a 1 and 2. I didn't try their dishes but apparently they were super spicy - so watch out for that and lean towards mild. Overall though, a good place to grab lunch.

This was how they bagged my food. All the juice leaked.

I heard Bangkok Thai was under new ownership so I wanted to try it out. First of all, I'm disappointed at how they bagged my food. They were all stuffed into one bag with some plates tilted sideways to fit. The juice from the Pad Kra Pow Pork Belly (PKPPB) spilled all over the bag and utensils. Some even spilled in the car. They could have used two bags. The PKPPB was flavorless and hard to chew. The papaya salad was soggy and not that good. The Pad Thai was flavorful. I liked the beef laab. It is authentic Hmong laab.

I ordered raw larb here with a side of sticky rice. Very good! I enjoyed it so much that when I was back in town, I went back and ordered it again because I craved for it. The flavor and freshness of the larb is spot on for me. If I'm ever back in town, I would like to try other things on their menu, but for now my review is for the larb. This is a really tiny restaurant with limited seating. Nice and clean on the inside and very nice workers.

Small place with big flavors. Bangkok Thai is hands down our favorite Thai restaurant in south Sac. The flavors are authentic, bold, and comforting. Every dish truly hits the spot. The service is always warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. We especially love their soups: Kapoon, Kasoy, and Boat Noodle are absolutely packed with flavor and perfect any day of the week. The beef larb is another favorite. It's amazing that you can customize it to your liking. You can get it spicy, raw or cooked, bitter or not. Their classic dishes like Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle are some of the best I've had in Sac and are reliably delicious every time. My husband loves coming here when he's craving a good soup fix, and I never say no to joining him. We always leave satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Thai food!

Everything looked so good! Made a trip with my sisters to try out Bangkok Thai. -Deep fried pork belly (3/5): Crispy & dry. Sauce was good though. -Nam Khao (3.5/5): Substandard. Think there's minced pork in the mix. -Deep fried quails (4/5): Juicy, but not flavorful enough on its own. -Thai Boat Noodle (3/5): Lackluster, too much beef slices in relations to noodle. -Thai papaya salad (3.5/5): Not my usual cup of tea, but mild had a little kick to it. -Lao papaya salad (3.5/5): Something was missing, can't pinpoint it. -Yum Chicken Feet (1/5): The special dish we came for! No flavor other than sourness. Tender? Not at all. -Customer Service (5/5): Quick, friendly, attentive. Located in a plaza with tons of food options, hard pass on Bangkok Thai recommendation. But to each their own!

I heard that there was a recent change in ownership and my friends wanted Thai food so we decided to come here. There were items in their menu that were crossed off so they no longer make them which was a bit of a bummer. We ordered the noodle salad, red curry and the boat noodles. The noodle salad was pretty good, great flavor, but I prefer papaya salad a lot more. The red curry was just okay, I have had better elsewhere. The one that stole the show were the boat noodles. It had fantastic flavor with tons of veggies, meats and noodles. I'll definitely be back for their boat noodles if I am craving for it.

Easily one of the best authentic Thai-Laotian food in South Sac. I always go here for their drunken noodles, Lao papaya salad, larb, boat noodles and anything else. The food is delicious, fast service and attentive staff.

Came by here to try it over the weekend. This is a mom and pop shop. So expect to wait a bit for seating. They do their best with service so can appreciate that. You may need to ring the bell to get their attention. Tried a few dishes Boat noodle - it's good. Not the best I've had but it's good. It's piping hot which is great. But it doesn't quite have that sweet aftertaste that most boat noodles do. Larb - good. Spice 4 is pretty spicy. Bitter like I like it. Pad Thai - spice 3. It's pretty good. No complaints. They also don't overcook the noodle so even though I saved some for later. The noodles never got sticky. Crab rangoons - good Shrimp rolls - kinda plain like most places. Could use any sort of seasoning to add flavor. All in all. It's a good place. Parking can be rough at times. But worth a shot if in the area

10 Years of Marriage & a Great Family Dinner!…read more Last night, my wife Sokny and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with our family, and we couldn't have asked for a better evening! We had dinner at Seafood House Quan Oc, and everyone definitely came hungry! Sokny and our daughter Skylie went with the seafood boil, and it was excellent! The seafood came with a delicious curry-style sauce that had so much flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal! Our niece Maddie and youngest daughter Laila enjoyed the kids' chicken wings and fries, and Maddie also really liked the eggrolls. We shared an appetizer of crab cheese wontons, which were another hit. My mom had the garlic noodles, while I went with the fish fillet with rice and salad -- and it was all great! For drinks, Skylie had a Thai tea, while Sokny tried a Black Superman and a lemon drop. The lemon drop was unfortunately more lemonade than vodka, but hey... we still had a good laugh about it! Overall, the food was fantastic, but what made the night special was simply being together as a family. 10 years of marriage, lots of memories, and many more to come. Thank you to my beautiful wife for sharing this journey with me. I love you, Sokny!

The portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Whether you come for appetizers, seafood, grilled dishes, or traditional Vietnamese favorites, there is something for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights of the evening was the karaoke. There is something special about eating delicious food, singing your favorite songs, laughing with loved ones, and making memories that will last a lifetime. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. This was many of our groups first time here and Alex started of same way with a slight smile, but he took the time to understand our confusion and began to lighten up once he understood our order and we understood the restaurant and he was a great waiter for the evening since. Thank you for putting up with our confusion! Food- chicken wings I would come back for they are definitely my top 3 I've had from a restaurant. Myself personally I am actually not a big fan with seafood boils because I do not care for all that seasoning, so coming I was quite worried I wouldn't eat anything. Well I caved in to try it with the crawdads, and to my surprise, it is definitely lightly seasoned so I did end up liking it. So, if you do truly like a seafood boil with seasonings and kick, I wouldn't recommend this place as a go to for others, but for myself if I have a craving I will grab my crawdads here. Overall the place is crowded and busy, it's in a busy shopping center. There are a lot of people working here at one time, it just feels that no one is thrilled to work there. We went towards their late shift to closing and to be quite honest I got understand that why they may have that feeling. The manager pulled out flashlights while we were eating to inspect the window cleanliness? Great job with the cleaning, but also not the right time. Also, micro managing the team's cleaning while standing at the counter and pointing at places they are missing (we should not see the from our seats). She definitely needs to work on Leadership, not manager, skillsets, and have her participate and guide team members rather then making it look as if she is looking down on her team. This can change the atmosphere for team engagement, so the greetings are more welcoming and engaging to customers.

I was crashing in Elk Grove at my friend Joe's for the week and was craving crawfish. He suggested…read moreCrab City so we called in to make a reservation for our party. It's a decently sized restaurant capable of accommodating at least 60 people. When we arrived, there was already a group of at least 20 people in the rear, and they were able to accommodate our group of 6 children and 6 adults. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food because they were short staffed, we had the happy hour menu to choose deals from and entertainment from the large group's karaoke to keep us busy in the meantime. When the food came out, I was surprised to find such tasty, and, large crawfish and shrimp on our table! The food was piping hot and the portions nice and big. I especially loved that the seafood came out in metal bowls instead of the plastic bags every other boil place serves their boils in. Extra points to them for being environmentally friendly! After a few bottles of soju, our group decided to partake in the free karaoke too, and we had a great time belting our hearts out. All in all, we loved the fair prices, delicious food, kid and family environment, and will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thanks for the awesome night, Crab City!

Date night this week took us to Captain Crab , and this was our first time here! Let me just say…read more.. it did NOT disappoint! To start, the service was great. Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

It was just OK. The service was lacking. Staff just kept walking by and glancing over but did not seem to care. I asked several staff if I can get a towel. Finally the bus boy told me to just move to a different table. They left our first table and floor wet almost the entire time we were there. It was odd, as it wasn't busy at the time and they had plenty of staff. The food was also just ok. Very generous with the shrimp and sausage but the crab portion was pretty sparse and the crabs were salty and not fresh tasting. They were supposed to be 1lb ea but there was only 1 crab cluster with thin legs and the shrimp and sausage were probably a bit over. The corn on the cob was frozen corn not fresh. We also ordered a side of bread and it was half of a roll for $4 and a side of the spicy sauce was $7 (for a small ramekin maybe 3 oz?) The kids still enjoyed the experience but I don't think we will be back here.

Food was good but nothing too wow. Service per usual is just taking your order, dropping off food…read moreand water, all while having to flag them down to ask for something. SIDE NOTE-to anyone going there 5 or more party, it's automatic 15% gratuity. JUST KNOW when someone orders to-go while dining, that to-go amount will be added to your dine in bill, of course meaning the gratuity tip will be higher on your final bill due to that to-go order added. They will not make any changes for you there if you try to apply logic. Guess you have to pretend to walk in the door to order or call in while you're sitting down to place the order to-go to avoid it being part of the total bill. Hopefully they change that system because why would you charge to-go orders as part of the dine-in to rack up the gratuity tip for an under par service!? When I questioned the server how does it make sense and she said yes we can cancel the order and call it in rather than just taking the initiative to separate the orders. Make it make sense or maybe I'm just over reacting but it does seem like a way to get more money out of folks. Receipt name said nana and she had a bit of an attitude. I know she already got her tip automatically but at least display some customer service hospitality along the way. First time trying it and likely will be sticking to crab city or boiling crab instead when I crave seafood boil.
