Broccoli pad see ew: it was flavorful but the noodles were mushy 5/10 Thai fried rice: it was good nothing crazy 7/10 Thai Thai Orange Chicken: HORRIBLE DO NOT GET IT, I got dried pieces of chicken and bucket of vegetables one tiny sauce. -4/10 Teriyaki chicken: Not good they have a bit more a chicken it's just not worth $20 in my opinion and it doesn't come with rice. 2/10 Spring rolls: my mom really liked it 8/10 Vegetable egg rolls: it was good 7/10 Vermicelli with beef: this was my favorite it was seasoned well, the noodles was nice and good serving size 9/10 Mango sticky rice: it was okay the mango had no flavor it was basic I definitely had better 6/10 Overall this was mediocre, it's 100% not worth the money in my opinion but the people are nice and it's edible if you have no other option read more

I had the Thai iced tea with the roasted duck panang duck curry. A unique dish that I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants; the portion was plentiful and the duck was tender, flavorful and yummy. The curry didn't overpower the duck, and it wasn't soggy. The spice level was perfect. Spicy enough for a kick, but you can taste the medley of flavors. I really enjoyed the pineapple in this dish, it complemented everything else perfectly. The thickness of the curry was on point. 10/10 The Thai iced tea was balanced well; sweet, but a strong tea flavor. However, there were small bits of tea at the bottom. Otherwise, it was perfect. 9/10 My coworkers had the yellow chicken curry & chicken lettuce wraps. Service: Good customer service, they checked on us a couple of times even though it started to get busy. The tattooed server was handsome. 10/10 Ambiance: A casual hole in the wall vibe where you can hear the chefs yelling from the back. We had lunch at Thai Chili around noon today and were able to get a table for 6 right away. I think there were only a couple other tables occupied, so it felt really relaxed and easy when we walked in. Our table ordered a little bit of everything from duck entrees to noodles, but I went with my usual favorite, the chicken satay salad. Honestly that peanut sauce is everything. So flavorful and one of those sauces where you wish they would just bring extra automatically. I've had the chicken satay before just as the appetizer and basically made it my meal, but the salad version was really fresh and just as good. One thing I did notice this time was that our food came out at pretty different times. Some of my friends were already done eating before my salad even came out. That said, the food here does feel very authentic and handmade, so I can understand why dishes don't all hit the table at once, especially with different entrees being prepared fresh. It just would have been nice timing-wise for everyone to eat together. One funny moment was two of my friends tried ordering Arnold Palmers, and since they don't really carry lemonade or standard iced tea, they kind of improvised with pink lemonade and what may have as Thai tea. Somehow it still worked because both of them loved it. We've been here quite a few times and usually split checks, which we did again this visit. This was the first time gratuity had already been added onto all of our separate checks, so just something to be aware of before tipping so you don't accidentally double tip without realizing it. Helpful tip: The chicken satay anything here is a safe bet, and definitely double check your check if you're splitting bills with a group. I came here with my sister and mother, we came here at about 2pm and they close at 3pm for lunch then they reopen again for dinner at 4 or 5. We ordered the mango curry salmon which was delicious as always. The veggie thai chow mein was ok. I think next time we will get shrimp chow mein. We ended our lunch with their mango sticky rice which is always delicious! I love the combination of flavors in that one. We ate outside since they had outdoor seating. I was in Elk Grove for a project this past week and we went on Yelp to find food places to order from. My co-worker found this place "Thai Chili" with over three thousand reviews and we both like Thai Food so we ordered. What I ordered was the "Beef Larb Salad". I didn't even see the picture, but I have eat at many Thai places in Los Angeles and ordered the same dish and what I got was shocking and digusting to say the least. I have never seen any Thai place use ground meat in a salad? Beef Larb is supposed to be Beef chunks, what I got was ground beef with cut piece of Iceburg lettuce throuwn on top. (see the picture) how does anyone call this a beef salad? Maybe there is not enough Thai food in Elk Grove for people to know what real Thai food is. I als ordered a Coconut Soup and that was also awful and not the real authentic Thai Coconut Soup. We came in for meal but instead came into a feast! Thai Chili's amount of good reviews caught our attention so we decided to sporadically visit. I wanted to get a papaya salad so that was a nonnegotiable. We couldn't decide between pad thai (wide noodle version) or pad see ew and made a poor decision of getting both. By poor, I mean we regretted the amount of food we ordered. All the plates came in massive portion sizes! The wide noodle version of the pad thai was a unique experience. How are we going to go back to normal pad thai? The papaya salad was refreshing and full of flavor. Pad see ew was so delicious as well. Every dish was saucy, packed with flavor and full of vegetables and a generous portion of protein. It was fun being able to switch off between both noodle dishes but we left with an entire bag of leftovers. Service was so attentive! I've been coming to this restaurant for several years now. The food remains exquisite. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and found that it wasn't as packed as I anticipated. The service is great and it looked like they were possibly shortstaffed, but we still got our food in a timely fashion. Food: The quality of food has been hit or miss since 3-5 years ago. I really loved the owners when it felt like "a hole in the wall" kind of place. I decided to try Thai Chili at 8696 Elk Grove Blvd, Ste 5, Elk Grove, CA 95624. This is a restaurant that has been here for many years and has been reviewed over 1,986 times. I was very impressed how clean the restaurant was, although it looked like it was a bit on the older side. Everything was very clean and the spacing of the tables and booths were excellent. However, the restaurant can only support 33 people. It was certainly smaller than I expected. Families are welcomed and the menu is very good. The service was excellent and our server, Francisco, helped me pick out different dishes. I had Thai Ice Tea (very strong and great tasting), Pad Thai (flat noodles and pork), Shrimp spring rolls, red pineapple curry (a little spicy), and of course my favorite desert of all time-fried banana with coconut ice cream. I greatly underestimated the portion size as when it was all done I had enough for another meal to take home. Overall, if you like Thai food, your absolutely going to love this place. My family has been eating at Thai Chili since it first opened in Elk Grove. Until my last takeout order it has been my favorite Thai restaurant. Ordered Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp 4/29/2026 and an order of vegetarian spring rolls. The pad Thai had gloopy noodles with little sauce and the chicken breast was so dry as to be inedible. My wife's spring rolls had few vegetables other than chopped romaine. Almost no tofu or rice noodles. We are really disappointed after so many years of patronage. read more

The see ew noodles with shrimp and green curry was also SUUUPER tasty.
