I was a little apprehensive because of the price but I think the quality and quanity of the food makes up for it. The favorite was the pineapple and shrimp fried rice. Big chunks of sweet pineapple with spicy rice. The tom yom was sad though. It was just a few pieces of shrimp with a lot of mushrooms.

Pad see Pad Se-ew (chicken, Pork, Beef, Or Tofu)

So disappointed with Bangkok Thai. I've been coming here for Thai food for 7 years, and every year it seems to go downhill just slightly. This year they seem to not care about the quality of food whatsoever. I paid upwards of $20 for my pad see ew dish, which I simply asked for with tofu and 3 stars. Not only was there absolutely zero spice, but there were almost no pad see ew noodles to be found in the dish. The dish mostly consisted of broccoli. Furthermore, this was the most bland dish of pad see ew I've ever received. I used to recommend this place, but now I'll be going to D'Bali or Kunis from now on :(

    Burnt chicken stay.

Regular at the valley location. Didn't want to drive the extra miles as south hill location is closer by. Pick up order was 55minute wait on Monday night dinner and I didn't think the wait was too bad. But when I open the box at home the sticks of chicken satay were all burnt and one is too burnt that I had to throw it out. I am sure they don't serve burnt meat on their dine in order because customers will send it back to their kitchen. Done ordering from this location

The pad Thai didn't taste like pad Thai, more like BBQ chicken. Thai iced tea tasted very watered down.

Wow! This is going to be a fun review…read more.. Stay tuned. You want good food. Do you want food that is authentic to its culture. Do you want a Thai dish cooked by a Thai chef. You found the place. Not just that, the help is wonderful. The Thai woman that served me was precious. And the Caucasian gentleman was very nice. Beautiful ambience. See my pictures. And did you see the picture of the food? Totally delicious. I visited Thailand one month ago. I have a Thai fiancé that took me to all the good restaurants. She lives there, she's a chef herself, she knows the good food, and she took me there. So, what I'm saying, I know good Thai food first hand. What I must say about the food I had here today, is it was delicious, it was spicy, and it was authentic. I ate it like a champ. With a spoon and fork, the Thai way. I made it a spicy as I wanted with the included Thai spicy sauce. I practically poured it on my food. I drank a lot of water ... I can say with almost 100% certainty that the rest of the food is good. I say this because, the restaurant opens at 11AM. There were people waiting at the door to get in before 11AM and by the time I sat down, the restaurant was filling up with people. There were orders being taken out by customers calling on the phone. It was busy. That should give you an indication of the quality of the food. I am so happy at the fact that I am able to bring my Thai fiancé to this restaurant once she becomes a citizen. The legal way, lol ...

Dumplings - generous sized shumai type dumpling. Chicken Sauté - tender & flavorful. Drunken Noodles - excellent! Yakisoba Noodles - bright & colorful! Crab Fried Rice - delicious with real crab! Kuay Tiew Koua - outstanding! Thai House Beef (this was extremely disappointing - only thing we wouldn't order again: undercooked raw veggies & 3 small underwhelming slices of beef buried under a pile of some type of pepper mixture). Overall, we had a wonderful experience and definitely will return!

The first time we went here all was great. The second time me went we felt uncomfortable like we were a burden to have there. We asked if she wanted us to go somewhere else since they seemed slammed and short staffed. She just replied dejectedly " no, it's fine. We won't get out of here on time anyway." Yikes! Gave it a final chance tonight and similar experience. Our food came out at way different times, we didn't have the silverware we needed or plates to mix our food with the rice. I had to improvise because no one ever came to check on us even once and after just sitting there we finally just went to the front to pay because no one ever brought us our bill (same thing that happened the time before). I don't expect people to come running the second they suspect we want the check, but sitting there for like 15 minutes after eating clearly done and ready to leave while people close down the restaurant around us without ever once looking in our direction is just strange. If the owners are trying to save money by having literally one person wait on the entire busy restaurant, they need to know that the opposite is happening and it is causing them to lose customers who love the food and atmosphere. Too bad.

I thought it funny that the name of the shop sounded like it was either calling attention to or poking fun at the southeast Asian pronunciation of the word noodle, but the pictures were undeniable! So in just minutes from the Davenport Hotel, we walk thru the doors. I was very impressed with the modern art aesthetic that adorn the surrounding walls of the dining area. Pop art is a very common look at more modern ramen places so I was feeling very comfortable and confident that we'd come to the right place. The staff was friendly and amazing from the get go and all throughout! Starving, we sat down and our eyes tore through the menu with excitement. Most satisfyingly was the fact that we'd come at happy hour and ramen bowls were $10 each! Now as a ramen goer, I will always go to TanTan if it's on the menu and it was! My mind was made. My other two friends ordered the Spicy beef in a shoyu broth and a spicy Tonkotsu (both looked amazing)! We also ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu: Salt and Pepper Tofu and the Spicy Pork Wontons! Both of those were HIGHLY RECOMMENDs, but if you're sharing the Tofu goes much farther with the wontons only having 3 pieces but AMAZING flavor (PRO TIP: you can also use the left over sauce to experiment with other tastes later in your meal). Once the appetizers hit the table it was gone! Hence the no pictures, for which I greatly apologize. I've failed you again, my Yelp family. But please know it was because I'm a fat ass and couldn't hold back my hunger. But finally, the main courses came out. My mind clear from the nourishments of the appetizers, I was able to snap a picture of. Maybe not as much of a, "my mind was clear" as it was a, "Carrots and corn in my ramen? YUCK!" Now I get the corn. In Hokkaido style they like to put sweet corn on the surface and slap some butter on it, and THAT I always have time for. But corn?? In my opinion, there's no place for carrots in ramen because the sweetness will always off balance the taste. Especially in a pork bone broth, but definitely not invited to my TanTan party, but I digress. Being the huge lover that I am of food and adventure, I thought I'd give it a try. But from the first bite, I realized that I was right about the flavor, forgot about the texture and was surprised to find Chicken in my ramen. No ohana... ramen is one of my favorite things EVER! Growing up in my life we'd eat dry bags of Maruchan/Top Ramen with the seasoning in it for fun, as kids. You know which one flavor I NEVER ate? CHICKEN! It just never hit to me. And here, betraying me in my coveted TanTan was chicken! Besides all of these things, my ramen was slightly hotter than warm. I grew up eating traditional style ramen, where you had to want it! Meaning the broth would undoubtedly burn your lips but you HAD TO WANT IT fresh or you'd miss out on what good ramen was. So disappointedly, I rested my chopsticks across the brim of the bowl in defeat and pulled the menu back. Meanwhile, from across the table I hear the satisfying sounds of slurps and bowls being picked up and set down on the table. So I ask how their food was. Both were very happy and both did look good, but I needed something that wouldn't miss this time. So with that in mind, I asked for the Spicy ramen! But this time I made a few adjustments. Audibles if you will (heck, it's football season). I asked for no carrots and no corn (of which she whiffed on the no corn, but thankfully there were no carrots) and almost MOST importantly: I asked for the noodles to be half cooked! My waitress, who: LET ME JUST STOP HERE AND GIVE HER THE FLOWERS SHE DESERVES! I feel bad that I don't remember her name or who don't have a picture with her but I was there during happy hour on the 7th of September (Monday) and she looked like she could have been the daughter part of a mother/daughter duo that was working the dining area! I appreciate you! NOW BACK TO THE FOOD! So my order again: Spicy Beef Ramen, no corn or carrots with the noodles half cooked! And the next bowl that was set in front of me redeemed the entire food experience. My ramen was piping hot and perfect. Sizable chunks of well cooked beef, dressing the landscape of my bowl like mountains on a map. Just beautiful. I couldn't wait to dive in. And from the first bite, it was redemption! The beef was so soft! It had a rich flavor that made me check it to see if they maybe upgraded me to ox tail. They hadn't, but it was definitely an upgrade from that shredded chicken fiasco I'd just come away from. The spice level was perfect. And the temperature of the soup melted all of the natural juices and oils of all the ingredients into the broth. Exactly like it's supposed to do!

I really appreciate that Mizuna makes a point of using vegetables from local farms. The dish almost reminded me of something you might get at a traditional Lyonnaise restaurant, but with a more modern and refined touch. The beet salad, though, was a piece of art. I would honestly come back just for this dish. The beets had an almost candied quality without being overly sweet, and they worked beautifully with the freshness of the mint and the creamy chèvre mousse. Fantastic balance of flavors and textures.
