    Fresh and spring roll
    Rene D.

Yummy popped in after I took my gf to medical appt. We used to come here so often. No one was on yet, About 4:30. I ordered spring roll and fresh roll, Tom Ka soup with chicken. Omg the soup was the best I had in a long time!! Spice just 2 1/2 was perfect for me. Ams a pot of hot jasmine tea on this blustery rainy nite hit the spot! She ordered the green apple salad to take home and another salad with cabbage, jamica and apples I think. It was all good.

Found this place passing through Tacoma. I had the pad see yeu w peanut sauce on the side to to drizzle my noodles and a Thai tea both were delicious. Nice place the interior design creates a relaxed atmosphere to dine in. Would recommend this spot if you enjoy Asian cuisine

I'm not a huge fan of Thai food but every once in a while I will have the taste for it! Today just happened to be one of those days. I ordered pineapple fried rice (which I've had before) and friend spring rolls. Nothing extraordinary. Good food! Very kind server! Food came fast and the cost of the meal was moderate. The location is spacious and has a serene feel to it. Overall I was pleased and would visit again.

I saw a sign for this place as I was driving by so I decided to give it a try. Don't expect a warm and fuzzy interaction from the waitress here. Here greeting to me when I walked in was "For here?" And then "Sit anywhere." When she brought water to my table she didn't speak. She put the water down and stood there while I looked at the menu. She did answer my questions, though. The menu is extensive and I wonder if I had gotten the Penang curry would I have been more satisfied. I ended up choosing the shrimp pho. It was brought to my table rather quickly and was piping hot in a huge bowl - much larger than I expected. However, the flavor was just "ok". I've had much more flavorful pho. I'm just visiting the area so I know I will never return to this place. I hope the Lakewood/Tacoma area has better tasting pho than what they serve here.

Definitely a really good. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was nice too.

I will say my first impression was not impressive. I called, the lady who answered was a little rude and I thought maybe it was just cause they were busy and I was calling from my car. So I show up to see it's not busy and I did not carry that interaction in with me but yet again... the rude lady. I knew I was a little early as I just placed the order as I exited the freeway but when I got up to the counter she said "your order isn't ready" I explained I knew it wouldn't be but I would like to pay. She literally rolled her eyes at me and took my card like it had neon Covid germs or I picked it up off a piss stained floor and then handed it back. Again, ok cool we all have terrible days and I know there's Covid but to take a card from a customer with the edge of your two fingers like you're going to catch something is just ridiculous. I tipped and don't even know why but it's probably cause I know what bad days are like and was just banking on that being her issue. So I walked over to the door to be out of the way and she YELLED "your orders ready" over the two customers standing there wanting to pay. As I awkwardly walk up to the counter all three of us are now standing there watching her bag up this food. I took my food as she handed it over and then said "have a nice day" all high pitched as if she just had amazing customer service. Sorry but I won't return no matter how good this food might taste. She is plain rude and should not be the face of this company, or at least the first and last thing somebody sees as they walk into this establishment. The food is not as good as some of these reviews. Pad Thai is almost like a 2 day old dry and I live 3 min from here. Literally. And the fried rice... what a joke. Gross all around.

Seen this place many times but never had the opportunity to try it out until now. So flavorful and good! Tried the Tom Kha soup and the Vietnamese curry with sweet potato. Both were delicious!! Mom had Pad Thai with chicken and sister had Vermicelli noodle salad with tofu

The food was really good. Other than that nothing really stood out to me. The server wasn't super nice but she wasn't rude at all she had 6 tables by herself serving all of us and she got all the food and drinks out in a timely manner. I've seen a lot of reviews about the customer service being poor but she did a great job handling all of us. My food was really hot and I recommend their chicken wings !!

Noodles noodles noodles and more...just noodles

Ok this place really went down to shits. The pho is not as good anymore. The noodles were actually kind of crunchy, the broth tasted like stale arrow head water. I got like 4 pieces of meat in my pho and i ordered a spring roll and it tasted as if pretty gamey, so i spit it out in the napkin than wrapped it up nicely like a Christmas present. I don't know why this place ended up going in the oppsite direction on where it should be going. 1 , 2, 3 ! 3 strikes you're out !

A LOT of life has happened since then, so we definitely had plenty to catch up on. Neither of us had been to Bloom Thai before, but we both love Thai food, so we decided to give it a try. This place is definitely different from any Thai restaurant I've been to before. It's super small, with only a handful of tables. You order at the counter, grab your number, and find a table. They also have a big jug of cucumber water that was so refreshing! They didn't have my usual yellow chicken curry, so I decided to try something completely different--the drunken noodles. I honestly had no idea what I was ordering, but OH MY GOSH... I was in love with this dish! The flavors were fantastic, and they topped it with deep-fried basil. I'm not even kidding when I say I think I've dreamed about that crispy basil every day since! It was SO good! The food was definitely the star of the show for me, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think this is such a fun little spot to meet a friend for lunch, especially if you want somewhere casual and different. That said, it is VERY small, so I personally wouldn't choose it for a family dinner with a bunch of picky eaters or rambunctious kids. The menu is also a little different than your typical Thai restaurant, so definitely keep that in mind. For dinner, I'd probably order it to-go and enjoy it at home. But for a girls' lunch or catching up with a friend? Absolutely! Great little find, and I will definitely be back for those drunken noodles and that amazing fried basil!

The husband, who was serving, checked in several times to make sure I had everything I needed. The chef also stopped by my table when she came out of the kitchen, which was such a thoughtful touch. The pork belly was very crispy(an additional fee), but too salty for my taste. The Pad Thai was good, although not the best I've had. The noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. It did not come spicy, but chili sauce was available to add some heat. The spicy omelette tom yum soup had a great balance of mild spice and sourness, and it tasted very authentic. The texture of the fried omelette after soaking in the soup was not my favorite, but that may come down to personal preference. The Thai iced tea had a good balance of tea and condensed milk, although it was sweeter than I prefer. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table afterward. Water is self-service. They also have a helpful sign explaining the ordering and seating process for first-time guests. The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a great ambiance. I especially enjoyed the small area showcasing the chef's history and journey. Overall, the warm service and welcoming atmosphere made the experience memorable.

There was a it of a rocky start because they gave our table to another party, which was smaller, so we all were bunched together at the front of the restaurant, which has a tight entry. It was intended for the party of 8. So we didn't have much elbow room to eat. I ordered the golden duck and my partner had basil rice with beef. My best friend ordered a lemon curry chicken that was so good I almost switched our plates. I actually really loved my food too. My partner enjoyed the rice but not the beef. I also had the crab wontons which were super yummy. Everyone pretty much loved what they ordered. They raved about the Thai tea. It truly would have been a five star experience had we been more comfortable. Also, they kind of just forgot about us after they dropped off our main courses. We sat so long without being checked on that none of wanted dessert anymore when quite a few of us were going to order some at first. I'd loved to try it more intimately with less people as they could have maybe just been overwhelmed. Other notes: Not overpriced. Parking wasn't exactly a breeze but I also didn't mind having to walk a bit. It's downtown so it was expected. Very busy, so maybe make a reservation or call ahead? There was outside seating. Bathrooms are not gender neutral. We visited on a Saturday. Happy eating !
