Full disclosure I have not actually dined inside this restaurant, I just ordered delivery from them through Uber Eats so I cannot comment on customer service from the staff or how the overall ambiance of this establishment but the food I received was amazing !! I went with the chicken wings which have a delightful honey tamarind sauce and are BIG wings and lemon prawns which have a creamy lightly sweet citrusy sauce with cashews and chunks of pineapple served with steamed rice and a side salad with vinegar. I would absolutely order these items again but i'm also interested in dining in and trying some of their other offerings now. read more

Some coworkers and I came in for lunch earlier this week and I was quite impressed with the food. Service was also pretty good considering how many tables were there with just one person. She was also very kind and funny. I highly recommend the chicken wings as they have one of the best sauces I've ever had and they are cooked to perfection. Might be the best wings I've ever had. I ordered the Washington delight which I thought was a unique dish considering it had 'granny smith apples'. I was not wrong, the flavor pairing was very nicely done and the meal was delicious and large. I took some leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day for lunch. I will be back for sure. read more

Most horrendous service ever! I used to love this restaurant, but service and food have been declining. And last night was the final straw. Placed to go order on phone at 4:30. Arrived at 5. Owners were sitting and eating. My order hadn't even been started. The owner lied to me and said it was done. Funny, because the cook was running around in the kitchen. I even saw him putting food in the microwave. At this point I told the owner I did not want my order any longer and did not appreciate being lied to. She then offered me 10% off my bill. Food is at best 2.5/5 stars at best. That's me being very generous. But the service ? Wow. Just a little info on my background here I ate here 4 times. In less than 4 months. I ended up ordering instead of a phone on an online order. It said that it's going to be ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. Now get this, I get to the place at the 20 minute mark and young Asian woman that's working the desk, had a difficulty finding my order. After she explained it to me that the order that came through she forgot to look at the phone because usually it makes a sound, but she admitted she must've missed the sound of the notification when I placed the order. So without any apology, she said that the food will be ready in 20 minutes, but she has to ring me up through her system and not online order. When she rang me up, the order came out to be around $10 more than online order and she said that it's because online order pricing isn't accurate. Now think about it and put yourself in my position. She scammed me, and made me wait 30 extra minutes because of her fu** up. Not only that but I was overcharged without even a simple apology. This is to the owner... your food is less than mediocre compared to other restaurants, and your staff did the unthinkable in a real of customer service. I'll never eat there again, nor will I ever recommend such poor place of business. Good luck, ull need it going forward. read more

I saw a sign for this place as I was driving by so I decided to give it a try. Don't expect a warm and fuzzy interaction from the waitress here. Here greeting to me when I walked in was "For here?" And then "Sit anywhere." When she brought water to my table she didn't speak. She put the water down and stood there while I looked at the menu. She did answer my questions, though. The menu is extensive and I wonder if I had gotten the Penang curry would I have been more satisfied. I ended up choosing the shrimp pho. It was brought to my table rather quickly and was piping hot in a huge bowl - much larger than I expected. However, the flavor was just "ok". I've had much more flavorful pho. I'm just visiting the area so I know I will never return to this place. I hope the Lakewood/Tacoma area has better tasting pho than what they serve here. read more

I will say my first impression was not impressive. I called, the lady who answered was a little rude and I thought maybe it was just cause they were busy and I was calling from my car. So I show up to see it's not busy and I did not carry that interaction in with me but yet again... the rude lady. I knew I was a little early as I just placed the order as I exited the freeway but when I got up to the counter she said "your order isn't ready" I explained I knew it wouldn't be but I would like to pay. She literally rolled her eyes at me and took my card like it had neon Covid germs or I picked it up off a piss stained floor and then handed it back. Again, ok cool we all have terrible days and I know there's Covid but to take a card from a customer with the edge of your two fingers like you're going to catch something is just ridiculous. I tipped and don't even know why but it's probably cause I know what bad days are like and was just banking on that being her issue. So I walked over to the door to be out of the way and she YELLED "your orders ready" over the two customers standing there wanting to pay. As I awkwardly walk up to the counter all three of us are now standing there watching her bag up this food. I took my food as she handed it over and then said "have a nice day" all high pitched as if she just had amazing customer service. Sorry but I won't return no matter how good this food might taste. She is plain rude and should not be the face of this company, or at least the first and last thing somebody sees as they walk into this establishment. The food is not as good as some of these reviews. Pad Thai is almost like a 2 day old dry and I live 3 min from here. Literally. And the fried rice... what a joke. Gross all around. read more

This is a nice little hole in the wall Vietnamese place. They have easy online ordering which I have been doing while working then pick it up real quick. So far all the orders have been true to their time, on their site it says ready within 20 mins! I've been obsessed with the banh xeo (rice crepe) and they make it pretty tasty here. It's a little more veggie forward compared to some other places, but extra veggies doesn't hurt haha. The lady that has helped me now the last couple times is friendly and efficient when packing up my to-goes. I definitely would recommend this place read more

This is my first visit to Long beach cafe. when i read that the owner used to cook at East and West restaurant i knew i had to try it. i got the Coconut Galanga Soup spice level 2, should have got level 3 but still amazing. Ok this place really went down to shits. The pho is not as good anymore. The noodles were actually kind of crunchy, the broth tasted like stale arrow head water. I got like 4 pieces of meat in my pho and i ordered a spring roll and it tasted as if pretty gamey, so i spit it out in the napkin than wrapped it up nicely like a Christmas present. I believe everything we ate there was prepared days before. All the vegetables in our noodles were way overcooked; they were very mushy and their colors had a hue of light brown. To top it off the sauce tasted like canned soup. We ate here about 8-years ago. The food was delicious then and we had a memorable experience. We've been wanting to go back sooner, but the location is not convenient for us. This time it was a total disappointment. My experience at LONG BEACH CAFE RESTAURANT was the my worst experience at a restaurant . The customer service was nonexistent and the professionalism was deplorable. My date and I were not greeting upon our entrance. We had to speak with the staff to be greeted and seated. After an eternity of waiting, we were finally attended to by the waitress. We were not offered refreshments. We were greeted with a fake smile and a rehearsed (and terribly executed) "what would you like to eat?" I took it upon myself (the patron)to suggest we start with a glass of water, hold the ice. After receiving our glasses of ICE WATER, my date noticed a FLY floating in her water. The waitress did replace the water, but I had lost confidence in their ability to maintain any type of standards of cleanliness. Against my better judgment we stayed and ordered food. My food was BLAND. Some of the rice was undercooked. My date and I were never attended to after our food was delivered to our table. The waitress DELIBERATELY ignored us. However, the CONGREGATION OF FLIES orbiting around our table did a great job of keeping us company. We noticed she brought boxes and the check to EVERY TABLE BUT OURS. She smiled and entertained all of the WHITE patrons. My date and I decided to walk to the counter (unlike our WHITE counterparts) and get the check. If I had to create a scenario of how NOT to provide customer service, this bit would be HIGHLY REFERENCED. I am NEVER EATING there again. read more

Folks in uniform came in after me and were waited on and served food before she remembered I was there. Any way, once my order was taken it was fast. No silverware or napkin. I ask for chopsticks. I've been going to Long Beach Cafe for over a year now and figured it's time to add a review as it has become one of our family's favorite restaurants! Firstly, great location with plenty of parking! Very convenient to stop by after shopping at the mall. Secondly (and most important) the food has been amazing EVERY SINGLE TIME! Such good flavor, it's amazing really. I've tried so many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Our whole family (including our 6 year old) always ask for this place and we go here multiple times a month. Quick note: not only do we visit in-person, we order online and have it delivered to our home and work. No matter the size of the order (as many as 10 people I might add), the high quality remains and the food comes super hot. read more

While I always love a place where friends can go to grab a bite and not be distracted by copious amounts of wall art; I'm always a little leery at first. However, the separate, all vegan menu...now that really got a brother excited. Everything sounded so mouthwatering! The non-vegan menu looks pretty darn tasty too, but you know how these things can get. Now, onto the real deal; the food. Two words...yum-o (is that two words?). Man, this place was to die. The food comes out just as quickly as you'd hope and if I ever go back, I don't even know if I'll be able to wait! I disagree with some people that say that the restaurant leans more toward Vietnamese. The menu leans more toward Thai food. The only Vietnamese is the Pho and a few main dishes. There are not a lot of choices. Usually Vietnamese places offer vermicelli bowls and combo rice plates (grilled chicken, pork chop, shrimp). This place doesn't have that. It has mostly Thai dishes, some Vietnamese and some Chinese. Food- Tom Yum Soup was ordered spicy and it was. It came out piping hot temperature wise and that was a plus. The negative was that the flavor of spice overpowered all the good flavors like lemongrass. Also, the soup was very greasy with a film of oil (maybe from chili oil?). Pho had no options just chicken beef or seafood (?). I could not get rare steak like usual. The Pho came with all the usual veggies and the beef was already cooked. Thicker than I like but it was tender. The broth was good. Fresh Spring rolls were standard. Chicken satay was not my fave. Lacked flavor and reminded me of fake chicken meat, like chicken nuggets. I was slightly disappointed with Vietnamese options but next time I will try their Thai noodle dishes and curry. read more
