My husband and I have tried many Pho restaurants around the Lakewood area and they've either been just ok or just plain awful. Pho PQ although kinda sketch looking was the best pho I've ever had! Good quality, delicious and convenient. The pho was not gamey tasting like a lot of the other pho places around the area. Also the Vietnamese sandwich was tasty and the taro bubble tea was also the best that I've had. The tapioca pearls were cooked to perfection. This is a drive through only place and is only run by one amazing cook. So be patient cause it's worth any kinda wait. However: Staff did not speak Vietnamese to me at all when I tried in most effort to talk with her in our native language, this caused us customers who are Vietnamese hard to order the dishes we only know in Vietnamese. I never highly appreciate Vietnamese restaurants who waitresses/waiters communicate none of our language while they are selling Vietnamese dishes. I heard that they may know Vietnamese but their bosses demand them not to speak this language to any customers because this is considered unprofessionalism (the most ridiculous thing in the world I've ever heard in Vietnamese community in US) Anyway, that food was bland also not enough to eat and restroom was broken and dirty took them 3 stars from me. Wow! I just got back from this place and I am soo impressed! The staff was super friendly, service was fast and the food was soooooo delicious! I'm a vegetarian and saw that there was a good amount of vegetarian options and the broth for the Pho they said is veggie based - hooray! I usually tend to get Pho or the Vermicelli dish so I ordered the Vermicelli. There was no vegetarian option so I asked to have the meat taken out and and the fried roll be vegetarian. They were very nice and accommodating. I've gotten Vermicelli bowls at soo many places but this one was the best on I have ever eaten - something about the abundance and assortment of vegetables and sauces. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Pho and Pho Fried Rice and he was amazed. I think next time I will try the Pho and Fried Rice, too. I gave it 4 stars because the interior can use a makeover. I think presentation is very important and having turn seat covers and super old seats and tables really takes away from the overall feel. It is truly a drive thru and no sit down seating. Keep that in mind. Owner / operator is a 1 man team so be patience to get your food. But it was quick and Pho was solid. For rich, savory broth lovers and a family-feel. This is the best noodle shop in Lakewood. Fantastic little place with a great cook. PQ is always here, behind the counter. He's the only cook and is also the owner. The broth here is outstanding. The pho is pretty typical of Lakewood in terms of the price and presentation, but the difference here is the broth. I've been going to this place for over 7 years. I order the combination fried rice, with extra meat and onions. Lately, they charge me for extra meat and onions and never add it to my rice. The flavor was still the best and I love that the put cilantro in the rice so, I would just add them myself. The last two times I went they s didn't add cilantro, and my rice was so dry, so I called and complained. The kid said if I didn't touch the rice they would make me a fresh one. BEST fried rice my husband and I EVER had. We drive by this place almost every day and finally decided to hit it up. I got the shrimp fried rice with an egg role and it was heavenly. My husband got the same but with steak. The chef was jamming out with some music while whipping out great looking dishes as we waited for our to-go order.
