    Tom yum soup

Hands down one of the best viet spots I have had in a while. I tried a variety of their dishes which all were good. But the best ones were honestly the Banh mi sandwiches, tom yum soup and chicken curry noodle soup. Also their drinks were refreshing and I was craving more of them haha. The service was very nice and ambiance is pretty chill. You guys gotta come here and try the food which are great prices as well.

The ube matcha had a really smooth flavor and was just sweet enough, the banh mi was a nice size with fresh ingredients and crisp bread. I definitely want to return to try the pho. Theres a few seats inside and a table outside. Really cute decorations and lovely service the lady was very friendly.

Banh Mi Cafe a small Vietnamese cafe situated a block or so away from Tompkins Square Park. fairly small space with several tables to eat-in as well as a table or two outside. very casual ambiance--clean interior. never ate here, but i did stop by a few weeks ago to grab an iced Vietnamese coffee. the coffee drink is pre-batched (meaning it's not made from scratch with a "phin" because that would take too long). the coffee presents a strong bitter flavor which is pretty much a trademark of this drink...the bitterness is offset with the sweet creamy smoothness of the condensed milk. the flavors combines to leave a dark chocolate caramel-y flavor with an icy caffeine kick. service is quick, but feels kinda cold and antiseptic which is in sharp contrast to the typical warm vibes that you'd get at a Bahn mi place. i'd rate Banh Mi Cafe as a good place to grab a drink if you're in the neighborhood or headed to the park.

It was just okey, saw this place and got excited from across the street and we decided to get some banh mi here. The place is small but cute and clean and very nicely set up. There are few table outside on the sidewalk and couple inside. No customers when we went, so no wait in line. Menu looks good and staff is nice and friendly, quick ordered but abit long to get the foods. We got the VNese iced coffee and regular banh mi...the coffee is okey, not quite the VNese tasting that you expected (we're VNese so we do know what it should taste like since we drank daily), the banh mi was very odd, not quite mixing well with all the ingredients...all I can say is that we only ate 1/2 of it. We're from SoCal, where all the VNese lives and we do traveled back and forth to VN so the expectation is not very high and experience this was far below. It's not that bad but it not that good nor so so neither. Also if you call it banh mi, and I would say that this is not banh mi for my personal point of view. Overall, the place is cute and lovely with nice & friendly staff but the banh mi and the coffee was not up to our expectations and we didn't have one in the first place e....cost wise, it's not cheap neither, but it's NYC so.

Probably what you would expect exactly from a Banh Mi Cafe. It is a small and cute shop in prime real estate, so you should expect a hefty price for Banh Mi here. What they charge more for, they more than make up for in the quantity of the sandwich. The people are also extremely friendly, so that is a major up. I ordered the traditional banh mi, as this will ultimately judge any shop on how good their banh mis are. The bread is fantastic. I am not sure if they make their own daily, but it certainly tastes like it. They are very generous with the vegetables, so it makes the banh mi appear larger than standard. Everything else is alright. The deli meat (pork roll and sliced ham) and pate taste as they should. This is definitely a place to search up if you are looking for a traditional banh mi and do not feel like chancing any bad ones nearby.

Just came by for a coffee, so I can't say anything about the banh mi, but my coffee was delicious! Love that they have so many flavor options for their Vietnamese iced coffees. I had trouble choosing, but ended up going with the coconut which was so lovely and exactly what I needed to get through the rest of the day. You get strong notes of both coffee and coconut (as well as coconut pieces!)-- would recommend!

Hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant One table indoors. Inexpensive. We had traditional and chicken banh mi sandwiches. They were very tasty. This is a nice alternative for takeout.

Solid Vietnamese cafe in East Village. Perfect for a casual lunch, brunch, or breakfast. Viet iced coffee is heavenly.

This drink is charming and has just the right ratios of ube and coffee. Would get this again!

LemonGrass Pork banh mi & Fishball Curry Noodle

The prices here are pretty good for nyc, $13 per item. The lemongrass pork banh mi was decent. The ratio of toppings is good, pickled veggies were crisp and refreshing, pork was decently tender but could've been seasoned better. the bread was also a bit soggy but delivery could've caused that. the curry fishball noodles were definitely disappointing though. the curry itself had no seasoning which i didn't even know was possible?? The only flavors i got out of it was spice with an essence of curry, also for some reason it tasted a little alcoholic.... not sure what caused that. Overall banh mi yes but pretty average & curry fishball noodles no no. This rating is only for the food, their drinks look good so i'll try them out and see how i feel!

The coffee was delicious, especially on a hot summer day. It was a quaint little shop with limited seating, but it wasn't too busy and the service was quick! I was drawn in for the coffee, but if I hadn't just eaten lunch I would have loved to try a banh mi or some pho if it was colder outside

Not the best Traditional Banh Mi I have had. But I am looking forward to coming back to try the lemongrass pork Banh Mi. Thai Tea was good too.

Even if I can't have my own cat, I'm happy to visit a cat café to interact with some cats and support with my attention and money. Maybe they have to close due to slow business is. There was only three people in my hour and two the next. The half hour sessions seem to be more popular with maybe a dozen people. I used to come here more often until I discovered Meow Parlour. It's much much cleaner and brighter and spacious. It doesn't bother me but Koneko cats tend to be older and less playful which may be not as fun for some guests. I find it calming to watch sleeping cats or just observing them roam around. Not sure when Koneko started offering drinks for all full hour bookings regardless of time. It used to be limited to their happy hour session which would end up being almost $30. This time, the drinks are included and a limited selection is included. Matcha, lattes, and mochas are $3 extra. I think it's fair. I got the oolong four season and was impressed with it. In general I don't expect a cat café to have good tasting food/drinks because the focus is on cats. I wonder if they cold brew all their teas because I saw the barista prepping batches of other teas. The long steeps can also explain why I think there's slight bitterness from the oolong, but it's very subtle. The oolong was refreshing and had an aftertaste and wouldn't taste diluted even with ice in it. Impressed.

Naturally, reservations required; you can make one hour or 30 minute session time slots for yourself online. Cute merch, a little 25 and under for me (ears on hats, that sort of thing), but hey- if you like something, I will not judge if you wear it. There are in fact three levels; my favorite was a pretty outside deck. The trees losing the occasional leaf captured all the cats' attention. No picking cats up, but if a cat jumped in your lap, you were allowed to feel the win! Lots and lots of petting went on, minimal swatting and hissing. No shoes allowed. Not sure about the coffee, just had a Poppi.

I absolutely loved the idea and the overall vibe of the cafe. That said, we came specifically for coffee and mochi donuts, and unfortunately those fell a bit short. The coffee was just okay, and the mochi donuts weren't great - ours tasted on the staler side, which was disappointing. Overall, I really think this place has a lot of potential. The service is great and the concept is very unique for this area, and with some improvements to the quality and freshness of the food and drinks, it could easily become a go-to spot. Worth checking out for the aesthetic, but I'm hoping the menu catches up to how cool the space is.

It was approx $15 for both which is expensive but I'd rather pay that to a small business owner than some big corporation.
