I got the grilled lemongrass ribeye and shrimp sandwich, the service was quick and the pate was super flavourful the reason I'm giving it a 3 is because the shrimp had a bit of a smell and it was not a wow factor, the bread was crispy and the beef was flavourful and I really liked the pate, I think next time I'll get the chicken. The worker was friendly and quick service as well.

Banh Mi House was a nice find tucked away in the east side of Markham. There is a good selection of items and the ones we tried were delicious! Food: 5 stars We ordered the lemongrass chicken fresh rice paper rolls which were filled with perfectly grilled chicken, vermicelli and veggies (lettuce, pickled carrots and turnip). The order had 3 which were quite filling. We also tried a crispy pork banh mi which was also very good. The crispy pork had a nice mix of crispiness and tender meat. The only thing we would change next time is to order light on the butter. The iced coffee was super good. Super strong! Probably enough to share. So why the 3 star review? Washroom: 2 stars To get to the bathroom you need to go through part of the kitchen. Just don't look. (I'm used to Asian restaurants but today's standards... questionable. While the washroom itself was clean, the biggest factor in this 3 star review was the lack of hand soap in the washroom. I looked around to find an empty soap dispenser lying on the tall cabinet. I sincerely hope that the employees have another hand wash station that they use after using the washroom. At least they use gloves while preparing our food?

So excited to finally have a banh mi spot nearby--especially one that's open late so I can grab something delicious that isn't McDonald's. Ordering online is fast and easy, and they accept credit cards, which is super convenient. I also love that you can choose from three different sandwich sizes and fully customize everything to your preference. I tried the Cold Cut and the Grilled Chicken, and both were tasty with fresh, vibrant ingredients. Tip: I recommend customizing with less butter and less pâté for a more balanced flavor. It really lets the fillings shine. Loving Banh Mi House so far, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings.

A new banh mi spot that opened in the east end of Markham. They have their original location on Woodbine already so this is their second store. Been here twice and it's pretty good. They have a variety of banh mis to choose from in terms of the protein options like beef, cold cut, pork belly, chicken and more. They give you extra butter and extra pate for free if you want They also offer three different sized sandwiches, small, medium, and large so it's pretty affordable and good if you're looking for a snack or a full meal. I like that they have a large menu of other items like noodle soups, vermicelli and rice bowls, appetizers, coffees, and so much more. Everything is made fresh to order, I like that I can see them cooking up the meats after I placed my order. Love the chicken wings and spring rolls here. Can't wait to try their noodle soups next. You can also do online ordering so you can just pick up your order once you get in. Overall, a pretty solid spot for east Markham! Will be back time and time again!

My friend and I had three banh mi sandwiches - Pork Belly, Beef & Shrimp, and Chicken. The buns were fresh, made in-house. The sandwiches were all delicious with a good amount of ingredients. We also had their fruit salad and that was very refreshing, with lots of fresh fruits, topped off with coconut milk. Nice! Some finishing touches were still being applied to the space so the menu and photo opportunities were a bit limited. They're set up for takeout only, so no seating. They are now officially open so I'll be back to try more of their offerings!

Came here during the snow storm today and ordered their loaded cold cut banh mi sandwich and pork shoulder vermicelli. Traffic was still busy and I had to wait for my order but staff seemed friendly. However I was disappointed in the banh mi. I paid for a loaded sandwich and I expected there to be more meat in the sandwich. This is similar to a regular cold cut I would get from other sandwich places so I was not very pleased. They do have extra butter and pate available which was nice. Flavour was great otherwise. The vermicelli was okay. The flavour of the meat is good but I would have liked more veggies on the side other than just radishes. I will give it a try again. But I would like to know if this is the loaded version of the cold cut then next time I'm just going to get the regular version coz it's not a lot of meat in my opinion. There was also no cilantro in my sandwich The condensed milk viet cold coffee was quite good~ All in all it's a convenient location for east Markham but price point is higher and I really wasn't pleased with the amt of meat in the loaded version of the cold cut sandwich.

Visited this new second location near Highway 7 & Ninth Line in Markham. Parking lot is small so if/when there's a snow storm, parking space is limited. Ordered the grilled lemongrass pork shoulder banh mi (small) $5.99. The pork shoulder was marinated with lemongrass and their own special sauce. Meat was juicy and umami. They give a decent amount of meat. Very flavorful with the vinegar carrots and turnip with the butter and pork liver (pate). They also add onions and cucumber, cilantro in it. The bread is toasted and heated before they make it. Very crispy and soft. Will order again if I want a change in banh mi fillings. Tried the original cold cut (small) $3.75 and I also enjoyed it very much. Has cold cut hams, pork belly, cucumber, onions, cilantro and vinegar carrots and turnips. Good value for this price but the sandwich bread size is a bit small imo. All bagged bread are heated and toasted before making. Spring roll $1.99 each or 3 for $4.99 was just the size of my finger. A bit small I find compared to other places but the filling was tasty. It had pork meat, taro, wood ear mushroom, carrot, onion, vermicelli. Signature iced coffee with condensed milk had a lot of ice and the drink wasnt even filled to the top. Portion size is less compared to other banh mi shops. Strong coffee taste and smooth with condensed milk but had an after bitter taste in mouth. I didn't have that at other shops that sell signature vietnam iced coffee so I find it odd but I'm not a coffee expert. Staffs is friendly and explains the menu. Try their pork shoulder and cold cut banh mi!

Came here for lunch today. So happy they opened a Banh Mi shop in Markham. I think they still have to change the sign but it's not hard to find with Google maps. It is right next to Col Mustards Ordered online which was quick and easy. Ordered a meatball and a lemon grass pork. First the meatball, it had quite a bit of meat in it and the flavour of the sauce is really nice. At first glance I thought it was too much pickled carrots but found them to be a good amount and the pickling was not too sour but added a nice crunch. The Lemon grass pork, they give you a ton of meat. The flavour is really good. I would get this anytime I want a quick delicious lunch. Staff is really friendly, I even got a sample of their coffee as I walked in which was nice. Will probably get one of those next time I am there. Place is pretty clean, it is fairly new but I'm sure they will add more decor as time goes on. It is a take out spot, but food is made pretty quickly and is delicious. Definitely a place I would go back to.

The younger staff were very kind and friendly. They were very helpful with suggesting items off the menu. We ended up getting a grilled lemongrass rib eye beef baguette sandwich and the original. I would come back to try their baos.

Came on their grand opening weekend. I got a free small pork belly banh mi and dessert with purchase. I got the medium cold cut and grilled lemongrass pork belly. It was quite tasty. They were fast and efficient with many workers which I appreciated with the long lineup. The banh mi was tasty and filling. Although I felt they put too much pate and mayo for my liking, which is okay, I can take some out. The dessert was yummy and fresh. So glad they open this close by my place.

They opened up another shop at this location, located in the plaza right next to Tim Hortons and Shoppers Drug Mart. I came for their grand opening special which was buy one get a free banh mi and dessert. I got a small original cold cut pork floss for $3.75. The prices are reasonable and the size of the sandwich is decent. Glad they opened one of these shops in Markham East making it a convenient food option.

Before coming, I read a lot of Yelp reviews, so my expectations weren't high. The actual experience…read morewas a mix of pleasant surprises and disappointments. First, the pros: their burgers are definitely a highlight. The patties are very substantial, with a genuine meaty flavor, not the mass-produced kind. The toppings are also well-chosen, not just piled on haphazardly. The plating is also a plus; it looks quite appetizing when it arrives at the table. The service is generally friendly, not overly enthusiastic but not unpleasant either. However, the cons are also quite obvious. The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better." Plus, the prices aren't cheap, so if you happen to order an average dish, the value for money doesn't quite meet your expectations. Also, the restaurant lacks a truly memorable signature dish, making it less memorable after your meal.

It's also clean and spacious, we didn't have to wait coming here for lunch and had a pleasant time. We tried the hue-style noodles and the broth was rich and flavourful, not super spicy but with a very slight hint of heat. It's good if you're not too into spicy foods. We also got some picked garlic and peppers to add for a boost of spiciness. We also ordered their fruit smoothie with coffee which was such a delight! The coffee was rich and delicious and paired well with the coconut. Next time I'd want to try it with their durian flavour (for those who can handle the king of fruits). You can also build your own pho if you want to choose your own noodle bowl.

Ordered a large house special pho (pho here is $18 for small and $21 for a large). A bit on the pricier side, but you get quite a bit in the bowl. I did see another table that had the pork bones and wow you get a lot of soft tasty meat. I am getting that next time (only available I think until 2pm, but it looked good. The noodles had a good bounce which I liked and the broth, although a little bit weak was very clean and had a good taste. You get lots of meat so the ratio is very good. I also got a pork and pate banh mi. This was nicely toasted and again you get a ton of meat ($8.99). All in all without drinks lunch cost me about $35 + tip, but these days everything is expensive. I would go again as the food is good. Will definitely try the pork bones with all that meat next time.

Its one of very few dine in Vietnamese restaurants open late in Markham. Open til 1am! When you enter, the music is blasting. The decor a bit outdated but consistent with the cute theme (hanging lights, colorful artificial plants, retro brick wall.) The food was alright. I had high expectations for the place but the experience did not quite live up to them. The famous dry wings were interesting. Nice and crispy but saltier than I would like. They were also coated in some kind of sugar which was unique. It was served with a lime sauce for dipping which really just tasted like pure lime juice. I think Im partial to the plain wings which is why this menu item wasnt a hit for me. The banh mi was great. Nice size, great crusty bread yet soft on the inside. The sandwich was packed with beef and then piled high with fresh pickled carrots and daikon. The butter spread was tasty. BUT the sando was missing a key component! Did not have pate which is the rich flavor I look forward to and in my opinion seperates the banh mi from other sandiwiches. The banh xeo was huge! Comes with all the fixins(mint, rice paper, lettuce, pickled veggies, beansprouts) and stuffed with pork and shrimp. I prefer the crepe to be thicker than how it was served here. It was paper thin, so crispy. So it lacked that texture I craved but the coconutty flavours were there. This is one of 2 Nam locations - the other in Richmond Hill.
