Wanted a Banh mi. This area of Houston is ripe with options and this was close to where I needed to be. Stopped in and was very pleased! Friendly staff, immaculately clean store, fantastic prices and of course the fresh baked French bread that's the centerpiece of a great banh mi sandwich. Added the pate and sriracha aioli, and a side of pork and shrimp spring rolls. Now that I know this is here I'll probably be back fairly regularly. Found out they offer party trays, too. read more

Starting the year of 2026 craving a tasty Banh Mi Sandwich and came across Banh Mi No 1. It is hidden in a shopping center but the food stands out like no other! I had the Spring Rolls with Shrimp and beef and man was it delicious and savory! It was the first time I had and definitely not the last. Not to mention it comes with peanut sauce. You can also choose what you want on your plate from protein, types of rices and add ons like egg. I had the pork plate with white rice and it was delicious! The meat was sooo tasty and even had a nice juicy flavor to it and it was not dry unlike other places! Beside rice plates, they also have different types of phos and Banh Mi's. I tried the Pork Banh Mi and it was sooo good I could tell everything was created with love and care. The Banh Mi bread was soft, warm, crispy and able to be eaten without the crumbs falling apart. The garlic mayo was a HIT and gave the sandwich its punch with the veggies! The pork complimented all the ingredients and made me want another one!! If you want a little more spice add siracha! Stopped by in today for the first time, I enjoyed the calm and simple atmosphere. Staff were really friendly. I ordered a chicken Bahn Mí, an order of egg rolls and a Vietnamese iced coffee. I think it's run by a mother and son, at least that's who helped us in the front. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Korean beef banh mi and the grilled pork banh mi. These were some of the best banh mi I've had in Texas . The Korean beef was well marinated, generously filled and the bread was perfect. All the flavors were there. The grilled pork banh mi was well marinated with a nice smoky flavor. Just like the other banh mi it was generously filled and the bread was nice and crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. I'm a pâté type of girl, and they definitely added enough for me. Overall, the price for the banh mi was perfect and affordable. While they do take tap/card, support local and use cash! They have quit a lot of options for banh mi's and their meats are so tender and soft. My personal favorite is the hot & spicy banh mi which is not that spicy but does have a small kick. The teas are chefs kiss. There is kind of a language barrier and it has messed up my order before, but it in the future I won't be placing orders via phone. Delicious food. Great variety. We really enjoyed the new twists on the classic banh mi that they had. We had the curry, Korean BBQ, and the bo la lot banh mi. All of them were delicious! Service was quick and friendly. Everything is well priced. The bread was perfectly crisp and toasted. Sometimes that's a hard thing to achieve.
