Avocado smoothie and passion fruit drink!
    Michelle D.

I kept finding these weird brown chunks in my avocado smoothie, I'm guessing it was from the pit? My sister ordered a milk tea, but she complained of it still having powder that hasn't dissolved. We brought it back, and they gave us a refund but it was still the same quality. Maybe I'll come back to try their sandwiches later on. -UPDATED REVIEW- The owner had contacted me and thankfully they were nice and apologized for the incident. I came back today and ordered the avocado smoothie again, and it's great! One of the best customer services I've ever seen! Would recommend to my friends and family.

I just wanted Bo Kho (Vietnamese Beef Stew) along with a baguette because my coworker kept raving about it! Out of luck since they were pretty much renovating/rearranging the shop. I was able to hold a conversation with the owner/manager and basically was telling me that by Monday it would be a restaurant. A small one, but they wanted to have more options to customers than just Banh-Mi and Bubble Tea. Since I already stopped by and I live all the way out in Delaware, I just ordered their Number 1 Sandwich. All I can say is, I've had better. However, I'll give this place another try at another time.

My morning breakfast. Vietnamese Special cold cut hoagie.

This store has a new owner(s). I used to order fried egg hoagie from the previous owner until one day I got very bad food poison from them. I stopped coming to the store. Since the new owner took over, this store has become my favorite. Everything looks different, seems spacier, clean and foods with drinks are very good. I have tried the bbq pork, the fried egg and the vegan hoagies. They are the best so far. Price is very reasonable. I love the avocado smoothie and their milk tea with boba. I don't have to go to Chinatown to get my fix anymore.

I mean... this was such a disappointment.

The tofu was uncooked, the whole sandwich was bland and had no carrots at all. Won't be going back.

I was born and raised in Philly Chinatown and have been eating here for as long as I can remember…read more It's been a whole decade now and even though me and my family have moved right outside of Philly, we still drive that long distance and come here to eat because it's never changed. The fresh smell of their noodles brings back nice childhood memories. Their food has always been great and their broth is absolutely delicious. Me and my siblings always clear the entire bowl and leave nothing behind. Their spring rolls are a MUST TRY because it's always very crispy and steaming hot when they serve it to you. The drinks are amazing especially their fruit smoothies because they use actual fresh fruits so their drinks end up having a lot of flavor. The staff here are very nice that we even managed to get along with some of them. You can rest assured that you WILL get what you paid for because they fill their bowls to the brim. There's always going to be a good amount of food in each of their dishes so feel free to order whatever you crave. Couple tips: Try to eat AT the place to ensure that your food is fresh and good. Take out for the most part isn't really good because your food is literally just sitting there until you get it or until you open it up and eat it. USE THEIR SAUCES!!! Or make your own sauce with the ones provided. Always makes a difference when I dip food in it or mix it with the soup. Don't be afraid to come with a big group of people. They have an upstairs seating area too but I guess if you're coming with a lot of people just let them know in advance before entering. This is Chinese owned so it's more like a casual Asian restaurant but the food is definitely worth a try because it's affordable.

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.

They have great meats. Their hearty Buns will blow your mind: as noted, the House Special is practically enough for two people. You'll also see many people eating the Prime Rib Pho which is quite different. to me it looks a bit unwieldly (much prefer meats cut into the broth). Their Bún Riêu, Duck Soup (served with a unique ginger sauce and bamboo shoots) and Bún bò Huế all hit the mark. Pho Today gives you two choices for the classic Fish In Pottery Pot, bone-off and bone-on. Many Vietnamese restaurants don't carry this anymore. One thing I should tell y'all is that, when you order your meal, ask for the homemade chilli oil.....they won't give it to you unless you ask: it's made with garlic and is really special. If I were to nitpick I'd suggest upping the ante on the spring rolls which are more of a footnote here. I much prefer the larger spring rolls, cut into 4 sections served with basil, veggies and lettuce for wrapping. But, yea, this place does a really good job and seems to be the go-to for both Vietnamese food and serious eaters.
