This brewpub is inside an old bank in downtown Mystic. If you're in Mystic, you won't miss this beautiful and grand building. It used to be a bank in the 1800s. I'm a sucker for historic architecture so this is awesome. They brew their beers in house and also offer beers from other places. There also have wine and seltzers for the non beer lovers. I am a fan of sours so I had one of their sour beers (forgot the name) it was okay, it was extra sour, too sour. My husband enjoyed their IPAs. Also, we had some house made potato chips and a hot dog. Those were decent; I just wished they offered a dip for those chips! Hummus or something like that? We sat outside on a balmy June day. They had a few tables and our server was great. It's a nice spot to people watch too. Inside was large and spacious. There was a long line to the restrooms though, popular place. Had high hopes for this place given its incredible location, beautiful building and that it's veteran owned. The beer was decent, especially the traditional stuff. Nothing out of this world but good enough to have a few pours before heading over to mystic pizza. Service was prompt and efficient, but not overly friendly. Where we unfortunately went wrong was eating here. Cheap fry oils and sloppy sandos that give bar food a bad reputation. I'm not sure why I expected more, but it fell short on freshness, flavor and creativity especially given today's modern brewpub scene. With a plethora of great restaurants in the area, next time I'd probably have drinks here then head to dinner elsewhere. read more

Salt and Vinny fries!!! DELICIOUS! A must here. Great location in Old Downtown Mystic. (Mystic Pizza is their neighbor!) Cute little outdoor area with tables. Inside- spacious! It really is an old bank! And you can feel it inside. The vault is there for your perusing and just take a look at the columns and high ceilings. They offer high top tables and lots of couches and some games. Sound travels here, it's loud and can get cold. There is a small menu but it's just enough. The wings, we went with Garlic Parm. Lacked the flavor but in general a well cooked wing. At least dozens beers to offer. My husband had no complaints. A whole merch room. This was our second visit and this place just helps add the vibe of old downtown Mystic. It's a great place to spend an afternoon. We stopped in after dinner last night (a Sunday night of a holiday weekend). They closed at 9 so we were able to enjoy an hour of the beautiful weather and sit out front with our drinks. I enjoyed a stout first and then my boyfriend brought me a taste of the cider and that was it! I had a cider next (it was a Cider Donut cider from Down East and it was delicious! My boyfriend said it was like "fall in a glass". The brewery is located in a gorgeous old bank building, which is why we went. This place is careless. The inside smells like sulfur, it reeks so bad I'm not sure how people work in there. Our food (2 sandwiches and fries) took 35 minutes (no one is here). I received my food and they carelessly threw my chicken sandwich together. I got a "Rosie". The avocado in my sandwich was unsliced and not ripe. Hard as a rock. The chicken was over cooked. The "Tatum" was good, bacon was cold and clearly from hours earlier. The fries were good. Service was poor, I told them about the rock hard avocado in my sandwich and no one paid any mind. Pretty nice place to stop for a cold beer while visiting Mystic. I didn't try a beer, but my partner did and enjoyed it very much. There was only one person working at the bar area where you order food and drinks. I could only see one other person working in the back for the food, and maybe one runner. This was such a unique and fun brewery. I love the architecture of the old bank. It's such a beautiful building and has a large interior. There's plenty of seating inside with TVs to watch the game. The original vault is still there and open, so you can take a peak inside. You have to order at the bar, then you can sit anywhere. We decided to sit outside since there was live music and it was such a beautiful day. The staff was super nice and let us try some drinks before deciding on what to order. My husband ordered a flight and I ordered the Hard Kombucha (Mango Daydream) and I loved it! It was my first time having Kombucha and I'd definitely recommend trying it. Been here several times. It is always busy for a reason. Food- the menu is basic but really good! We have had wings and fries, both are fantastic.. We came here on vacation and since I am pregnant I can't drink. They didn't have many options that were non alcoholic so I stuck with my water. The place is really cute and has a nice outside area. Such a nice place in what used to be a bank! It's owned by a Marine and the drinks are named after some of his friends . I got the joker beer and it was light and refreshing. I have enjoyed this place in the past but I do not plan on returning. We visited on a Friday afternoon after shopping in the area. The waitress told us the QR code for the beer menu was not updated. No alternative. Sooo we had to just guess what to have? She wouldn't even tell us a list of beers, she just said, "well what do you normally have?" Welp, since you make your own beer I'd kind of like to know about them! How hard is it to write out a BEER list when you're a BREWERY!? I agree with other reviewers that there was a terrible smell in the place, I could not stay very long. Bank & Bridge is a unique structure (an old bank) in a fantastic location. Located right in downtown Mystic near all of the action, this spot is hard to pass up. They were quite busy on a spontaneously warm December day so I'd imagine that would be the case for the majority of the year. The beer was fresh and tasty and although the food is a bit greasy, it's yummy nonetheless. I don't love when the bathrooms at a restaurant are icky because it says something about the cleanliness of the establishment as a whole. I come her every Monday for Trivia at 6:30, and the rewards are pretty great. The questions are kind of tricky though. Most of the time, I get the truffle fries as a snack, because they are SO GOOD. It's nice to have after dinner and with a glass of beer. The diet coke was not good at all. It tasted more like toothpaste with rootbeer. There is only street parking in downtown Mystic, but if you drive a little, you can find a parking spot anywhere. You'll just have to walk a little bit. Bank and Bridge Brewing is a veteran owned production brewery and culinary forwarded kitchen located in the heart of downtown Mystic neighboring Mystic pizza. The service was great and the bartenders were extremely friendly, striking up conversation with us during our visit. The drinks were great and the food menu looked amazing - if we did not have dinner reservations right after I surely would have indulged. I look forward to coming back soon to try it! Cool little spot in downtown Mystic. It appears to be housed inside an old bank, assuming thats where the name came from since they are also steps away from the bridge. The beer was good and the guy who helped us was great. We had a nice cold beer outside in the sun and moved on. Beers were $8-9 which is def on the high side but they are at least in the downtown area which can kinda justify it. $10 a beer w tip is just tough to have more than one sometimes. Great place. Very white and clean. There is a large front patio area, but we went in and sat at the bar. Our servers were fantastic. We checked out the t-shirt selections that hang above the bar area. We asked about the long-sleeved shirts that have beer-brand patches on them. The bartender who was actually wearing same shirt was so gracious and brought different sizes for us. She told me to go to the restroom to try on and I did. They are good quality shirts for $40.
