Whalers Brewing Company is located in South Kingstown, RI. The parking lot is accessible after crossing a small bridge and there is ample parking spots. For donating blood between July 28 through August 31 at a Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC), I received a beverage voucher for participating venues and one of them was Whalers Brewing Company. There were plenty of seating options for small groups and large groups. I chose Drift, a refreshing hard seltzer. The seltzer really tasted like sweet blueberries and lemon. It was light and refreshing. The staff member who served us was very friendly. We had picked up food from Jayd Bun before and consumed it at Whalers Brewing Company. It's great that you can bring food from neighboring restaurants. A good amount of people were there on a Saturday afternoon, both families, groups, and couples. I really enjoyed the chill vibes of the brewery.

Great brewery that we went to while we waited for food at Jayd Bun. Staff was extremely helpful as we decided what beers to get. My wife got the Sour and she wishes they would distribute it was so incredible.

Walked here while waiting for our order from Jayd Bun. Had a Muse beer-it was refreshing, light, crisp with powerful citrus flavor. Really enjoyed it! The vibe is chill, relaxed, with many indoor cornhole and interactive games. Lots of friendly dogs (and owners) greet you here! Makes you feel at home.

Whalers has the best tasting beers in Rhode Island! There's a few breweries that I frequent in Providence out of convenience but they do not sell beers that I would actually consider drinking on the regular. To me, Whalers has beers that I would actually purchase in the store over other common brand, which goes to show that the brewery is not just good vibes, but they are also dedicated to their craft.

Fun indoor only, dog-friendly spot. Known best for the Rise APA. Midday on a Saturday not too busy and able to find parking and seat without issue. Not too much variety on the menu at this time, 4 beers and two seltzers. Able to bring your own food in, which is a plus. There are a lot of activities to do while here, including corn hole, pool, and larger sized jenga and connect four.

Went here after Christmas and such a cute vibe! They had plenty of tables, cornhole, big connect 4 and it's dog friendly!! It's self serve so you grab a drink at the bar and then grab your seat. Only snag for me is they had one gluten free option but I did not live the flavor of the seltzer. I would recommend checking out this brewery.

Whalers is always reliable. I won't say that it's my favorite beer in RI, but if I'm in the area I always make a stop. Atmosphere is open with plenty of spots to sit, stand or even play some indoor games. It definitely feels like a college hangout which makes sense given its proximity to URI. They allow byof and on my last visit had a food stand set up inside. There were plenty of private parties too, and with their large space it makes it super easy to do so. Service is always super friendly, and the assortment of beverages is decent. Usually something for everyone and definitely at a great price point. Of course they're known for RISE, but I've had some really enjoyable stouts here so be sure to branch out on your next visit.

As a former Pacific Northwesterner, love the lovely vibe of brewpub goodness. A really fun space with pool tables and cornhole. Dogs and children allowed. Kinda tricky to find the entrance - all the way in the back building.

I have always loved this beer so it was fun to come to the actual brick and mortar. Their beer is fantastic, vibes are chill, bring your own food. Cannot go wrong!

Nice brewery conveniently located near Jayd Bun where we ordered takeout. While waiting for our food, we checked out the scene at Whaler's. It's a little confusing exactly where the brewery is located (way in the back after you drive over a wooden bridge), but once we found ourselves inside, we were favorably impressed with the huge space and the fact that there was also a Field of Artisans art market happening there! The art market featured jewelry, home goods and gift idea items for great holiday shopping. For brews, I always enjoy their Rise beer and my love had their IPA. In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much we decided after to picking up our food to head back and enjoy our Jayd order there. Relaxed vibe. I'm always a little nervous when I see a lot of dogs in a brewery but none of the dogs here were problematic. Note that kids are not allowed after 6pm. Our visit spanned the 6-7 time slot and while most folks seem to respect their limits on kids, a few people still had kids inside when we left after 7, so not sure they enforce this very strictly. Great beer! We grabbed a six pack to take home for later too!

This place has an awesome interior - pool tables, corn hole boards, a ton of space - which makes it great for any time of year (but especially cold months). They're BYOF and have a ton of surrounding places to get food like Jade's Buns and Mews. Goes well with the 5-6 beers they usually have on tap, some of which stay on there seemingly all year round. My only gripe is that this place always has its space reserved for kids parties. It is what it is, but I wish they wouldn't allow for reservations for their space for these kinds of things. Kills the brewery vibe a little for me each time I can't play a round of pool or play corn hole without a crew climbing on them. Other than that, good brews and even better space. We enjoy coming here.

Bumping Whalers up to 5 stars. The beer is always good without trying to do too much. Being dog friendly is a huge plus & worth at least one star it's self. The first couple times I visited I didn't notice how cool the items inside are or how unique the building & surrounding buildings are. The bartenders are polite & friendly. The merch is sneakily some of the best I have ever seen. They do not serve food so a pro tip would be to go down to Maiz & get a burrito & bring it here.

It's a whale of good time! Yea I said it! Beers good and the vibes just chill, mix in your dog for a good afternoon of beer

The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting (dog friendly) outdoor space, accessibility to some good food, and (of course) some quality beers. Tower Hill is two for three - I really can't comment on the food aspect, but they do link available BYO options that will deliver to the brewery. We just didn't order anything. The bartender was excellent - friendly and helpful and knowledgable on the beers offered. His opinions of the beers in the flight I tried matched my own. He definitely added to the overall experience. They're situated in a business plaza and their outdoor area is a row of parking stalls that they walled off and set up picnic tables, comfortable chairs, and corn hole with some outdoor carpeting that made the aesthetic a bit more inviting. They also have quite a few events on their calendar including trivia nights and live music which is what pushed them into the five-star range for me. I had to think about this rating since I live about and 8-hour drive from them, but next time we visit New England, I intend to try to convince Mama to make South Kingstown a waypoint so we can try the food options, enjoy the entertainment, and be able to more thoroughly enjoy the beer offerings without having to think about making a long drive afterwards. So yeah, if it ends up being an hour out of our way, I'll still try to convince her to add Tower Hill to the itinerary! My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

The birthday boy enjoyed his free birthday beer (one of the many perks of celebrating at Tower Hill), while I opted for a flight featuring Boss Light, New Zealand Pilsner, Black Point & a refreshing passionfruit hard seltzer. It was a great way to sample a variety of styles & I enjoyed all of them. As if great beer was not enough, we were treated to live entertainment by a traditional pickin' & grinnin' acoustic jam band. Calling it a band hardly does it justice - there were at least 20 musicians! Guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins... the room was filled with incredible talent & toe-tapping tunes. It felt less like watching a performance & more like being part of an old-fashioned musical gathering. Between the delicious brews, the lively music & the festive birthday vibes, it was the perfect way to cap off the evening. We will definitely be back for another pint & hopefully another jam session! Highly recommend. NOM NOM NOM... well, in this case, SIP SIP SIP #YUM

Beer'd Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Stonington, Connecticut in November 2012…read more It was founded by husband and wife Aaron Simoncini and Precious Putnam. After enrolling in a class entitled "Beers of the World" in college, Simoncini became very interested in craft beer and soon began homebrewing. It was during this time that he gained the nickname "Beer'd". Eventually with his now-wife Putnam, Simoncini set out to open his own brewery. The couple set up shop at the Velvet Mill in Stonington. The historic building was originally home to the American Velvet Company, which operated from 1892 to 1996. Today it is a multipurpose building that is home to a thriving community of small businesses and artist studios. When Beer'd originally opened in the mill, they had just a 100-barrel system. The brewery quickly became notable for their small-batch high quality IPAs. In 2018, Beer'd opened a secondary facility at the Airport Business Park in Groton. This new 12,000-sq-ft space expanded their production capacity to 6,000 barrels. An adjoining 60-seat taproom (dubbed "Beer'd Brewing @ The Silo") opened at the Groton facility in January 2020. To differentiate the two taprooms, the original location in Stonington is now often referred to as "Beer'd Brewing @ The Mill". I first visited Beer'd in 2013 (when they were just one of a small handful of breweries in Connecticut), and I've been a huge fan of their beer ever since. They are one of my favorite Connecticut breweries and I have visited them multiple times; they were even a stop on my brewery bus tour bachelor party. I also must point out that Aaron and Precious are lovely people. I recently stopped there while I was in the area. It had been a while since my last visit and there were a few changes. In addition to the original taproom, Beer'd has set up an indoor beer garden in the center of the Velvet Mill. Patrons can enjoy some beer paired with food from one of the mill's many food vendors. Beer'd also set up a designated "Dog Den" for patrons to enjoy a beer if they have furry friends. During this visit, I enjoyed a taster flight that featured "8 Days A Week" (Pale Ale), "Stunner For the Win" (New England IPA), "An Unexpected Upgrade" (Double IPA), and "Heavy Weight-Of-Sound" (Triple IPA). They were all excellent! I plan to continue enjoying Beer'd beers for years to come!
