The carafe was not even warm, when normally you would have a hard time holding it for an extended period when it's first served, so the fact that it was cold would have been obvious. * it's in a spare room the hotel uses for event space, so yes it is a pop-up, which means the decor is a couple Japanese screens and not much else * the rolls tasted great, but some would fall apart when picked up * soy sauce bottle on the table was empty and dirty So, could have been better, but the food quality seemed great; nice and fresh rolls and nigiri. The cocktails were unique and delicious. The desert... that was the highlight. Very unique; I unfortunately can't find the name of it as it's not on the regular menu, but it was a frozen desert like a Japanese ice cream, but soft in the center, and was served with green tea and mango flavors. If you're looking for a really wonderful sushi and/or fish experience, and don't mind the drive, Hooked over in Beaver Creek is where you'd really want to go. The Wagyu was a big piece of meat that my family of 4 shared - I appreciated the big slab of butter that they left on top of the steak, mmm so good. We finished off our meal with the sticky toffee pudding which was sooo good! It was gone in seconds and if I had an unlimited budget, we definitely would've gotten more. Highly recommend coming to Hearthstone for a nice meal in Breck. Service and hospitality were very nice - a manager came around to check in on every table to ensure that everyone was having a good experience.
