I really love this place, new ownership and all. I do usually order the same thing: wonton soup, pork egg rolls and chicken and broccoli. But every time, it is delicious! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food comes out hot and fast. A great local Chinese eatery. I've only ever had an issue one or 2 times when the food was slightly under par but never bad enough to write a 1star review! Henry's was great. Little Dragon is not; it appears they've changed ownership and changed their name but inherited all the goodwill from Henry's Yelp page. Little Dragon offers reasonably priced average Asian food. The staff is nice enough but not terribly competent - modifications were ignored, wrong soups delivered, etc. But on top of all that, a "service charge" is added to the tab and then they ask for an additional tip. Cut that nonsense out. read more

I wasn't going to make this review, but am sick of the new owners, so here we go. I tried the new little dragon cafe being a customer for quite of few years of the old one, and I have to say, am extremely upset. I ordered fried rice w/ chicken and veggies, and the hot and sour soup, ordered takeout so I didn't get much of a peek inside, but ambiance looks the same, but empty. The food I was met with was henry's "flipped upside down", the rice was barely had taste, and had some parts of still white, and the soup was the worst part, instead of the normal dark brown soup with everything in, I was met with yellow nothingness, with SOME tofu. The soup wasn't even the most concerning part, because the day after, I got the flu. Thanks little dragon, that was a fun experience. Gone is the crowd-packed restaurant, Gone is the sweet loving owner who would always greet me with kindness as we walked in, Gone is the one of the most yummy chinese food I have eaten, replaced with a bowl of pee. All of that would won't probably come back for a long time, probably never. Tip: If you are in the mood for chinese food, there is still May Palace in vail, which still has yummy food. read more

Can I give this negative stars? Don't trust the website. We called and were told to place our order via website. So, we did. Its taken two hours to get our food after being given a 20-minute estimate. If you can't prepare the food on time, don't take any more orders. I feel bad for the workers doing the best they can. We've been ordering from here for 8 years. Never again. The owner and manager are incompetent. We've seen many orders come in and out since we've been here. We keep being told we're next. Henry's is a great standard fare Chinese restaurant. You might wait a few minutes for to-go because they do very brisk business. We order massive amounts of food from this restaurant and have for many years, yet never, not once, had a mistake. We may leave with five or six dishes. I go back to this place whenever I ski in Colorado, satisfied each time! Must try: Chicken Gyoza! Good quality ingredients fully stuffed inside with thin crunchy dumpling skin (not oily or dough-heavy at all). I am surprised that Gyoza here is better than most sushi places. Anything in Chef Specialty is good. I normally match the number of dishes to the number of people. The price is very reasonable near Vail and Aspen. Big thumbs up! read more

Nee management masquerading as Henry's Chinese. We were seated and we were told it was the same chef just a new owner . Well they lied . The food was flat out horrible . Like you might expect from a Chinese restaurant in Fargo North Dakota that bought premade soup stock and used the cheapest of ingredients. The new name is The little Dragon - which also serves Thai , tiramisu (an abomination) and frankly nothing is worth eating here . Just looking at the other dishes on other patrons tables and the friends of disgust of all of them- should be a strong hint. No one finished their dish. The crowds and 90 minutes waits of the original Henry's are gone . Complain about the food being bad (I have eaten at Henry's for over a decade and Almost never had a problem and they were quick to rectify it . Not here. This place - nope - they said " If I had to refund everyone who complains , I would be out of business " that's straight from the Chefs mouth. Gone is the wonderful hot and sour soup with delicious tofu , black ear fungus , strips of pork - replaced with a cup Of yellow Vinegar and a few strips of tofu. What's really annoying is they actively try to trick people into thinking it is henry's Chinese food they even left up the old sign to confuse people and even all the mapping programs send you there because they never made any corrections on purpose . I hope this place closes soon so another group can do a better job with this kitchen. When you walked into the original henry restaurant, you agreed with smells from hot woks, and a clatter from the kitchen. This place just smelled dirty. Bathrooms were sooo gross Avoid avoid avoid , Henry's used to be one of the few Good Chinese restaurants on par with decent NYC and Hong Kong Chinese food . Takeout was a bad experience. WAY overpriced! Three of us ordered takeout from Henry's and our order included 3 curries and an order of dumplings and wontons. We waited over an hour for takeout, and by the time we got it everything was cold. Dumplings were good, but the curries were super watery. One of the curries we ordered was wrong, and customer service wouldn't offer a refund for that part of the order. We spent over $100 on three dinners and two appetizers, and I still don't understand how. There was an automatic gratuity charge for pick up and I think there was an additional service fee. FOOD POISONING! DO NOT EAT HERE! FOOD POISONING! After eating a chicken dish at Henry's I got severe food poisoning. I was up all night in agonizing pain with severe vomiting and diarrhea. It lasted over 16 hours and by the time it stopped I had blood vessels burst al over my face. When I am recovered from this nightmare I will be returning to demand my refund and plan on letting everyone I can know about this horrible restaurant. read more

We used to get Henry's all the time and loved most of their dishes. Came to Little Dragon tonight and found it very disappointing. The pepper beef did not have a chili next to it on the menu so we wrongly assumed that it wouldn't be spicy. It was very spicy! We asked the server for a replacement and she said that if we got a different dish, it would come out of her pay. So, I can't justify ever eating here again if that's how the owner treats their staff. The pad Thai was mediocre and the recipes we used to love were completely different. read more

I had egg drop soup and peanut sauce curry with tofu. The egg drop soup was hot, but didn't have too much flavor. The curry was delicious! It certainly was a thick, peanut sauce. I asked for the curry to be served spicy, so they included red pepper flakes. It was sweet and spicy without being overwhelming. The portion was huge; I could only eat about half of it. From what I could tell, the other diners with me enjoyed their meal as well. They ordered more classic dishes like sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Lets be fair: you dont expect a LA or NYC quality chinese food place around this little ski town. I was expecting an Americanized chinese food experience before walking in. I ordered mapo tofu, crispy duck (its surprisingly good!), and kongpao shrimp throughout my three visits. All of them tastes Chinese and pretty good! The experience was well worth it, with tremendous service, and the ambience of being amongst family and friends.
