Ambiance is lovely. Nice selection of fish, lamb, steak or pasta. The wine list was also extensive. Beautiful dinner. Corbin did an amazing job sharing in depth knowledge about the wine to help us select an Italian wine (we know less about Italian wines but are headed there this summer)

Hearthstone was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I went with the 5-course menu and chose the elk cooked medium rare -- easily one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. The Italian pilsner paired perfectly with the meal, and the dessert, the caramel sticky toffee pudding, was incredible. If you're looking for high-quality food and an exceptional dining experience, this is hands down the best place in town. The ambience in this beautiful old Victorian house is also a highlight!

Amazing experience. I was tasked with planning my mom's elopement last minute while they visited on their annual ski trip. They eloped at sapphire point (stunning) and then we did a dinner of 9 adults and 2 children to celebrate. Hearthstone was the best! They put me in touch with local baker who dropped off the wedding cake the night before and they set it up for a cutting at the end of dinner. Service was excellent. They put us in a semi private room off to the left, perfect. Food was excellent as well (much better than what you typically eat at a wedding haha). Waiter was very patient with us and attentive. Didn't feel rushed even when most of headed back and three people stayed back at the table for another round. Made the night feel so special. Thank you Hearthstone for making the elopement feel so special.

We had such a great experience at Hearthstone Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt warm and welcoming. Our meal was outstanding every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And the service? Absolutely top notch. Attentive without hovering, friendly without feeling forced. They made us feel taken care of the whole night. Also... Pear Mule, That drink was delicious. Crisp, refreshing, perfectly balanced. Safe to say, we'll definitely be back.

Sat at the bar for happy hour and had a fantastic experience. The service was great and the happy hour menu had a really solid selection. The pork belly and beef tips were absolutely incredible, easily the standout dishes and cooked perfectly. This is a must-visit spot for happy hour in Breckenridge, and I'll definitely be back to try dinner next time.

Had a fabulous meal at Hearthstone. If you're looking to eat good In Breckenridge, Hearthstone should be at the top of your list. Reservations are recommended, we made ours 1.5 months ahead of time. Service was exceptional! Tried both the NY strip Special and the rack of lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. I preferred the lamb, the chefs signature dish, price per head is about $100 - $150 for dinner. Go, you won't be disappointed!

Would rate this place 3.7 stars Our waiter Corbin was wonderful with timing, refills and overall service. No complaints there. The reason for the dings to the rating is because of the food/chef. The wait for our entrees was unusually long, tables were looking around for their food and one table stood up and complained in front of everyone. Upon arrival, the medium filet was medium rare and the medium rare elk was medium well. Overall the dining experience was cozy and romantic, but the food leaves a bit to be desired for the price point.

We walked up without a reservation on a Saturday & the staff was able to accommodate us at a 2 top. Super adorable house with a large outdoor space. Very welcoming & warm. The peach app was phenomenal.

It was an interesting meal with some high highs and low lows. The service was great and our waiter was really nice. The highlights of the meal were the Ahi Tuna appetizer and Peach Bread Pudding with Raspberry Sorbet for dessert. The tuna appetizer was so well done with all the different flavors and textures coming together perfectly. It was one of my favorite tuna dishes I've ever had. I don't normally go for bread pudding, but both it and the sorbet were delicious. The low point was the burrata appetizer which I had gotten as my main. I love black pepper and would say I use more than the average person, but this dish had so much pepper that it was hard to eat. I had to force myself to finish maybe half of it. I had seen some positive reviews for the burrata so not sure if there was some accident with my dish and the pepper, but I can't imagine it was what the dish was meant to be. The actual restaurant was pretty cool and had a relaxing atmosphere so given that and the delicious tuna appetizer and dessert I'd probably go back.

Located in a renovated 19th century mansion this is a place to go for a special celebration. From the ambience to the views to the food every thing is tastefully curated with attention given to details. Weather permitting I'd recommend patio seating!

Enjoyed dinner here with my wife. So far this has been my favorite dinner in Breckenridge. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Very well done! Courses were timed well and the staff was friendly and attentive for the most part. Food was fantastic. No picture of the appetizers but the lobster raviolo was top notch.

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. First, when you walk in, the ambiance is amazing. It is in such a cute house on the hill with great views, and the interior is so aesthetic- like an old cozy Victorian house. When we sat down we were met with a free glass of champagne for celebrating our anniversary which was a nice touch. We both ordered a cocktail which came out quickly, and ordered 2 appetizers and 1 entree to share. We got the Octopus and the Beef massaman meat pie to share. The octopus was well made but a little salty, but the beef massaman pie was incredible. One of the best foods I have had in a long time and I'm still thinking about it. The philo dough was done perfectly and it was perfect to share (you only get 1 but it is large!). Then we got the blackberry elk to share. The restaurant brought this to us on two separate plates already since they knew we were splitting it which was so thoughtful and made it so easy! And it was so good. Definitely enough to share. We were so full afterwards that we couldnt even get a dessert, though they looked amazing as well. Our server was attentive and kind, and overall this was such an amazing experience, especially for a celebratory evening. There were many people there in their after-skiing outfits, but we were a little dressed up. Both seemed fine for the location!

Hi there ! Is there a friendly kids menu for those picky eaters who just love streak and fries ? 😅

Yes! Kids menu is on their website, but they have tempura shrimp, chicken, fries and a few other items!

    Is there a dress code?

Hi Barbara, we do not have a formal dress code at the Hearthstone. You'll see everyone from folks coming off the mountain from a day of biking or skiing, to couples out celebrating special occasions. We look forward to seeing you, whatever you…

Hi, I am looking for a place to have a fine dinner on Christmass night. Is your place taking reservations? And what is the deal/menu for that night? Thanks!

Hi Olena, thank you for your interest in dining with us! We are open on Christmas, but are fully booked at this point. We would love to have you dine with us another night during your visit to Breckenridge. Please call as at 970-453-1148 if you…

What are the prices of your steaks?

Hearthstone prices are on the high side but the quality and flavor are worth it. And the view from upstairs is one of the best indoor dinner views in Breck. And service is superb.

My adult daughter recommended this place as she has dined at MFF a few times in the past and truly enjoyed the "quality" of fish they get/use for all the sushi items. I thus needed to see myself. We called ahead to see if we could still get in for the late lunch as this place takes a break between lunch and dinner for about an hour between 3pm and 4pm. The time was close to 2:40pm. They said to come despite it being near the closing time (for lunch at 3pm.) Upon arrival, the place was quite empty except for one table that was finishing up. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We mainly ordered from the sushi menu for 4 nigiris and 1 simple roll. And they are Albacore Tuna, Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon for nigiris and Yellowtail roll. For some sides, we ordered Mushroom Miso Soup, Age Tofu and Vegetable Tempura. -Mushroom Miso Soup: The mushrooms were shiitake kind. They were dined into very small pieces which I thought was not the typical way to put in miso soups or any other kind. They are simply sliced from the top to the bottom to have the "shape" of them intact. Well, at any rate, however, the soup tasted good although it lacked the "depth " of miso soup I wanted to taste in it. Not bad, however. And it was hot! -Age Tofu: Freshly out of the oil in which the battered tofu pieces were cooked in it. Thin crispy out layer was perfectly crisp. The tofu was hot inside there as we took a bit into it a steam came out. Quite good. -Vegetable Tempura: They also did a great job on the thin batter that coated each vegetable piece. Nice and crispy on the outside; the veggies were perfectly cooked where they weren't mushy at all. -Fishes on the nigiri sushi and the roll: This is what made my daughter impressed when she dined here twice prior to yesterday's visit. And I got to taste it. I immediately saw why she was raving about this place. They were large and fresh. And to produce this quality in this mountain town in Colorado is something I could give them my accolades. Nothing tasted old so no fishiness or sourness; they all smelled clean with the perfect texture. And some of them melted away as we chewed: the absolute indication of fresh fish. Service was basic and yet good enough. Since we were pretty much the only remaining table for the lunch hour after that one table that left earlier, all of our food came out of the kitchen and sushi bar quickly. Ambience was good. Enjoyed sitting at one of the two-person tables that is round and is located on its own away from other tables right by one of the windows and near the sushi bar. The sushi bar had a nice atmosphere as well. Clean indeed. The patio seating is available and quite spacious. I can comfortably recommend this place to someone I know if they are looking for a reliable sushi place in Breckenridge.

I ordered the soup of the day a baked potato soup that was pureed with chucks of potato with bacon, cheese and green onion. This was the highlight of my meal. A friend recommended Briar Rose, and was she spot on. We could not have been more pleased with the food or the great service. It's a neat place, both clean and comfortable. We started with three perfectly seared bacon-wrapped scallops. They were so buttery with a great light sauce. I nearly ordered more as they would make a great entree. I've had some great scallops, but I promise I've never had better. My wife and I were looking for smaller steaks as we've seemingly stayed full from our previous meals. My wife ordered the sirloin, and I went with the Australian Kobe-style Waygu steak. My son got the lamb chops. For sides, we chose Brussels sprouts, green chile creamed corn, and mac and cheese. You already know my Waygu inspired me to have a religious experience. I'm not kidding. I've had both Japanese A5 and Kobe Waygu, and this was better. I got it with a wonderful chimichurri, but this needed no accompaniment. The sides were all great. I don't like Brussels Sprouts, but I always get them because my wife loves them. These were well above average. The mac and cheese was super creamy. Our favorite was the green chile creamed corn. My wife thought the sirloin was very good, and was amazed at its thickness. My son devoured the lamb chops. It's a favorite dish, and he said this was by far the best lamb chops he's had since our 2014 trip to Aruba. It wasn't an inexpensive meal, but considering all we got, the quality and the great service, it was worth every penny. This is going to be one of those meals we remember and talk about for years to come.
