This Indian snacks store next to the gift shop inside BAPS is filled with salty and sweet snacks. For around $5 a box, you can find all types of goodies, including ice cream here. East Asian Indian snacks aren't for everyone, but for the value of what you can get here, portions are considered big. Lots of Indian biscuits/crackers/cookies/flavored and dried chips/etc. Indian snacks aren't always too salty or too sweet for me. Lots of different spices in the ingredients. Buttered tea cookies are common. Samosas and aloo puffs exist here. You can grab quick bites to enjoy. Fully staffed. Cashiers are easy to work with. There's also restrooms in back with a spacious indoor area for you to grab condiments or to enjoy what you purchased. Most Indian families and visitors are sitting outside in the huge shaded patio area. Temperatures outside do get very warm underneath the sun. Decent. Place looks well maintained. It's a good addition to BAPS especially after you finish your tours onsite. Convenient. Gift shop next door isn't huge, but at convenient walking distance. Not bad at all. It does feel like you're in East Asia India for a moment.

Love live live these cookies. Random choice by my mom. Good job mom.

The food is excellent. My mom made friends with two ladies who were waiting for the pav bhaarji....so we choose it too. My m9m loved it and so did I. The samosas were da bomb, eberythimg we atd was beyond delicious. What a happy day to eat a late lunch of such delicious food. we returned to this care and sweet shop after touring the mandir to pick up more food to fo....and some sweets to take home.. and they cater!! Good to know. Authentic Indian food....big compliments to the chef!! (I've eaten a lot of Indian food...and have visited India, so I know that this food was the real deal.) They had pani puri shells and spicy water. The coconut cookies are crispy and light, not sweet, we need more to gift they are so gooood. Highly recommend this cafe and the sweet shop...if I lived in the area, I'd eat here or shop here once or twice a week!!

This shop is pretty cool! There's a huge variety of Indian sweets and snacks. There are so many options! We got a couple items to try. There's also a hot foods area where they sell foods like samosas. There was a line to pay but it moved pretty quickly. There's lots of seating available inside and outside.

Great cafe next to the BAPS temple. Gated area just tell the attendant you're visiting. Head right and park in designated areas. The cafe will be the small building with outdoor seating area. Lots of sweet and savory items to choose from. All made fresh in house. Hot prepared items, masala tea & samosas. On the weekends they have more prepared food items available. I luv papdi chips! This cafe has some of my favorite ones. Masala please! Luv that spice. It has a sort of egg yolk sort of flavor, crispy and light. It's hard to have just one. Thank you friend for introducing me.

This review is about the sweet and snacks place. The store has lots of variety of it and so much cheaper than Bhanu or Punjab in Rosemead city. It has warm food like freshly made puri and lots of places to sit down and enjoy. There is also masala tea. See pics . Dec 28,2024

This is actually a café and a store. The door to this area brings you into the store and the café is inside to the right. To get to this café & store, you need to go to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills. It is a Hindu Temple. The Café is open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Someone had said that the mango lassi from here was the best they ever had, so I wanted to try it for myself. While it wasn't the best I have ever had, it was good! It was very refreshing! I selected it & a Masala Chhas from the refrigerator. They are ready made & bottled drinks. We didn't care for the Masala Chhas, which is an Indian Spiced Buttermilk. I bought them from the café area. At the cashier's area, you can also buy a few snacks as you pay for your other purchases. It's quick and convenient to add on some Aloo Puffs, Samosas, or Patra. After we enjoyed walking around the temple grounds, we came back to the store. We shopped and bought some pre-packaged snacks to take home. The store is full of both sweet & savory snacks! If we go back, I might try their Thali. I love Thalis because you get a little bit of a bunch of dishes. They're served only Thursday-Sunday.

We've ordered the combo plate from the cafe without knowing what's in it. Well, we finished everything no explanation is needed. We also bought some goodies called London chocolate and another one with dates and pistachio but I forgot the name. Those were delightful and not too sweet. I wish this location was close by because I'd eat there again if it were.

I really love this cafe. I need to make the trek to get delicious soup again, and all kinds of goodies.

So tasty! It looks like the cafe was under construction. They still have great food, but I don't think that it was their full menu.
