Hey yall. After my SHOPPING SPREE @ CHANEL IN THE ARIA, I visited this cafe spot which was open and pretty. I did my content here and as I was, a man from PRADA/AMIRI, bought me a latte. He also invited me to dinner but also to spoil me if I had fun with him. I turned him down but he still respected my wishes and invited me out. Nice environment tho. I wonder how she got her job as a chef? lol You work in the food industry and don't know bottle water have an expiration date? This is probably the most beautiful cafe in Vegas, and I'm really glad I visited when it was completely empty! I got to enjoy the nice interior and a completely full pastry shelf. The cafe was a bit hard to find because I'm not familiar with the buildings on the strip, but once you step inside the mall, it sticks out. I ordered a few things, and I loved their cream-filled pastries. I don't think I would get the croissant again because it was a bit underwhelming, but you can never go wrong with a cortado and freshly squeezed orange juice. This little cafe/bar/eatery is in an interstitial space between floors 1 and 2 of the Shoppes at Crystals. It's like The Being John Malkovich or Spanish Cafes. Esta Juan Malkovich? They have some pastries and sandwiches in the daytime hours but the stuff on the menu isn't available until 5p or so. Jose's Ultimate Gin and Tonic and the Espresso Martini were winners for sure. This is a beautiful place to have breakfast, light lunch, or just a snack. It's located at the Shops at Crystals next to Aria. We were only there during the daytime. I believe the menu changes at night. We ordered some xuxos, a canele, and a breakfast croissant. I was pleased to see that the breakfast croissant was a good size especially for $16. The xuxos were great. They were soft and had a good amount of filling. The canele had some custard in the center and the outside is a caramelized crust. Bar Centro inside the Crystal Shops is such a hidden gem! The place itself is super cute, modern, and spotless -- plus it wasn't crowded at all when we came around 9, which made it feel extra relaxed and enjoyable. I ordered the croissant with strawberry crepe and wow... hands down one of the best I've ever had! Perfectly flaky and fresh with just the right sweetness. The Americano was also excellent -- smooth and bold, exactly how I like it. The only tiny downside is that they don't sell their beans (wish I could take some home!), but honestly, that's just me wanting more of what they're already doing so well. Bar Centro was my first stop in Vegas and it was tasty! Located in the Crystals mall by Aria, it exudes the necessary fanciness needed to fit in with its green and gold accents everywhere. Looking over the menu, several items caught my eye including the orange blossom cortado, the strawberry xuxo, and the ever rare canelé. The experience cost $25 with tip. Everything I had was really good! The canelé was deeply caramelized but its core was creamy and eggy as expected. The xuxo was croissant-like in shape, but yeasty on the bite. The sugar coating provided some nice texture and the strawberry filling had really nice strawberry flavor and just a bit of tartness to help balance out the bite. I really enjoyed the xuxo! The orange blossom on the cortado was also excellent. It was bright and fun and paired well with the pastries. Once Bar Centro opened, there was almost a continuous flow of people popping in so it's certainly a destination people want to come to, considering the mall itself was barely open at 9am. read more

Stumbled upon this spot at the Shops at Crystals inside Aria with my mom around 3pm. After we visited the Princess Diana exhibit, we wanted a little snack. I saw Bar Centro at the center of the mall and was curious about it. My mom and I just wanted something light considering we might have dinner in a few hours. Aesthetically, it was right up our alley with the intimate open concept and beautiful interior design. I was intrigued by the pastry case. We decided to grab a seat and a server takes your order unless the food was taken to-go. We were seated right away because there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The service was friendly but slow so if you need to be somewhere like to catch a show, I would say go somewhere else. I noticed I was not charged for the sandwiches which was a miscommunication on the server's part (sandwiches were ~$20). I told them and they comped me one sandwich. Honesty is the best policy :) FOOD for 3 - xuxos (crema catalana, strawberry and nutella): reminded me of churros but filled with cream - roast beef sando - turkey sando x2 - jasmine reserve tea in a teapot Overall, the experience was just okay. I think you're definitely paying for the ambiance. As beautiful as it is, I don't think it's worth the price point, I believe you're also paying for the name because it features a Michelin star chef. This little place was discovered by accident. I was staying at the Aria and their patisserie was extremely crowded, and I did not want to wait 30 minutes for my latte. Latte: I came here and not only was there no line but I think I found my new latte provider. In fact, it's better than 95% of other coffee places on the strip. I added a strawberry Xuxo and a canelé to my order as well since the place provided such beautiful ambience. Food: It was my first xuxo so testing it was a must. Admittedly, I'm not true biggest fan of sugar rolled pastries however it was a tiny (croissant) with a dollop of strawberry cream inside. The filling was out of this world. It was tart and not sickly sweet which went much better than I thought since the outside was a sweet tooth cavity. The cancelè was lopsided but darn tasty! The inside was eggy and gooey and the outside was caramelized to perfection. I'm definitely coming back for this one as well. Lastly, the best thing came in a little surprise package! It was a little sablè cookie on the side of my latte and I could eat a dozen of these! Buttery and sandy with a glorious hint of sesame (or nuttiness) and saltiness. I've had the pleasure of visiting Bazaar Mar for dinner and passed by Bar Centro. I was confused because there was nobody here. Were they closed? But they're supposed to be open until 7pm. I was hoping to get some desserts to-go before they closed but there was nothing on the display case. So, here's the scoop so you're not confused as I was. From 9am-4:30pm, you can get desserts, pastries, sandwiches, matcha, coffee, tea, and salads. On Friday and Saturday at 5pm-7pm, you can enjoy bar drinks, tapas, and some desserts. One thing I really wanted to try was their ensaimadas. Sadly, they didn't have it multiple times I've been to Bar Centro. It's also not on the menu. So, I'm assuming they discontinued it. Terrible! Bar Centro is more laidback and open. It is bright. You'll see centaurs guarding the place. Service was friendly. Some hiccups on our most recent visit: we didn't get a receipt, and they forgot to pack one of the items we paid for so, we had to go back after realizing we were missing something. Good thing we were at a restaurant nearby. Nutella Xuxo: They have 3 xuxo flavors: strawberry, Nutella, and crema Catalana. I like Nutella so, I had to get it. Think of a crispier mini croissant covered in sugar. Best eaten with hot coffee. 4/5 Solero Crusanes Relleno: Flaky laminated pastry with orange curd, whipped vanilla cream, citrus segments topped with blueberries. If you like citrus and blueberry desserts, you'd enjoy this which I do not. 3.5/5 Dulce de Leche Crusanes Relleno: Flaky laminated pastry with dulce de leche ganache, pearl sugar. Mildly sweet. The dulce de leche is rich and creamy. 4/5 Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Palmera: Caramelized puff pastry dipped in chocolate topped with hazelnut halves and gold leaf. Crunchy, light, and slightly sweet. 4/5 I wish they had Spanish churros with thick chocolate. We need that badly! If that's all they had on the menu, I'd be more than happy. read more

This is one of my favorite places to have coffee/tea with friends or family as a local. You can valet at mall and take the elevator, where it takes you right at the cafe. No wandering around the mall to look for it or walk a mile just to get here. Which is one of the things I don't like to do when I go on the strip. The decor of the cafe is beautiful and light. You don't feel like you are having coffee at a mall. The staff is always friendly and the service is what you'd expect at a luxury location. The coffee, pastries, tea and food are all excellent! What a lovely spot, great addition to the Aria crystal shops. The ambiance is so lovely and it's open earlier in comparison to most dining spots here. My friend and I walked in and browsed the menu and placed our order. There were numerous super cute pastries. I wanted a matcha or a chai in the afternoon, but unfortunately they didn't have either when we went. They suggested a London fog tea with splash of steamed milk to give it that slight tea latte-ness, so I went with that. My friend got the espresso tonic. We also got a dulce de leche brioche. Everything we tried was excellent. The person that rung us up and gave us our number to place on the table was helpful too. The pastries were on the small side, so more to try, right? It was good, but I think they added sugar. I don't know for certain though. It was sweet, which I didn't expect. It may have just been the natural flavor. I ordered the turkey sandwich. It was ok too. The greens on it were a little wilted which could have been because I ordered it warmed up. The herb aioli had a very strong flavor to it. It was almost overpowering the turkey. Our bartender, Josh, was an absolute delight; from friendly service and crafting outstanding cocktails! Not sure how he made them all so quickly, since we were a group of 7 - but they were each intricately and expertly made. We had one member of our party with a lot of allergies, so Josh was very mindful and made appropriate recommendations. While difficult to make a choice, the standout cocktails were the Magic Carpet and the Nitro Continental Sour. If you're looking to get away from the chaotic and frenetic nature of the Strip (while relaxing with a refreshing beverage), I would highly recommend Bar Centro. read more

During our August trip to Las Vegas, I saw the opening of Chef José Andrés' Bazaar Mar in The Shops At Crystals with high hopes to celebrate our anniversary. I also noticed his plan for a more casual café or bar one floor below the mall-level restaurant in the former Starbucks space. The José Andrés Group had indeed opened Bar Centro in tandem with Bazaar Mar, and we could envision this new space as a casual and walk-in café just by looking at the décor. Fast-forward to October. After dining at Bazaar Mar, our server, Stefanie, encouraged us to check out Bar Centro for coffee, tea, and exquisite Spanish pastries the following morning or to enjoy cocktails with caviar, elevated bites, or tapas at night since we had four more days left in our recent stay. We were too full from eating the fabulous tasting menu, so we wandered into Bar Centro the following morning. As we entered Bar Centro, our eyes were diverted to their pastry display case where two female workers described each pastry's textures and flavors enthusiastically. They also informed us about Bar Centro's versatility to transform itself from a coffee shop daily to a cocktail lounge at night. After ogling their pastries and scanning their coffee shop menu, we asked if they offered counter or dine-in service. Dine-in service is available, so they welcomed us to take any available seating. Within moments, our server brought us menus and asked if we wanted beverages other than water. Yes! Yes! We needed our caffeine fix and ordered two twelve-ounce pours of Guatemalan Santa Isabel Drip coffee, served correctly in porcelain (?) coffee cups on saucers. The floral and citrusy aroma of the hot coffee wafted through the air as our server brought the coffee to us. We think being served coffee in proper cups and saucers makes drinking coffee more enjoyable because you can smell the aromas and appreciate the coffee's flavors and roast. You can't appreciate great coffee from disposable cups, so if you're not in a hurry and are in the Bar Centro area, you can leisurely enjoy your coffee beverages with outstanding pastries or light snacks. Speaking of light snacks and outstanding pastries, we tried the Ibérico Jamón & Manchego Cheese Mollette ($18) and two pastries, Flor de Castilla ($14) and Pan con Chocolate ($15), while sipping our hot coffees. Bar Centro's Ibérico Jamón and Manchego cheese mollette were four slices of lightly toasted airy bread topped with fresh chopped tomato sauce, a slice of savory, nutty flavored Manchego cheese, and a pile of thinly sliced Ibérico ham. The delicate and unique taste of the Ibérico ham complimented the Manchego cheese, while the tomate fresco added natural sweetness and light acidity. Just thinking about these open-faced sandwiches makes me drool. We shared the Flor de Castilla, a rose-shaped pastry with "petals" filled with dark chocolate mousse, milk chocolate ganache, and pine nut praline. The gold foil and sprinkles of salt crystals elevated the presentation and balanced the sweet and bitter chocolate flavors. We also got the Pan con Chocolate, a tender, aromatic, caramelized Arbequina olive oil brioche spiral filled with a luscious ribbon of chocolate cream and garnished with honeycomb-like shards. The pastries weren't cloyingly sweet, or maybe the coffee caffeine dulled our sweet taste buds. We paused before sharing the pastries to admire their beauty and remarked, "They're almost too pretty to eat." The workers (server, busser, counter help, and cashier) with whom we interacted during our light brunch were warm, welcoming, and helpful. We could imagine how nice it would be to have cocktails and appetizers here in the late afternoons or evenings. read more

Grand opening was on August 11, 2024. Upon arrival, the hostess will kindly ask for your phone number as a reservation to dine-in. They have ample seating for a table, banquette, and at the bar. The layout design and furnishing is gorgeous! The place is like an upscale cafe embellish with jade and florals, lanterns, majestic chandeliers, and centaur statues. In the morning, they serve coffee and pastries from 9am to 4pm. At night, the coffee shop becomes a bar serving cocktails, desserts, and caviar. Menu offers little snacks and sandwiches, sweet bites, coffee, tea, refreshing cocktails, beer, whiskey, spirits, and wine by the glass. The Pour Over coffee by Lamill is splendid! Los Pirineos from El Salvador ($8) is delicious! It has a lovely aroma with clean and balanced flavors of blackberry, macadamia, and honeydew. They offer sweetener but it isn't a need, the coffee is perfect the way it's made. A sweet treat of Donut Trio ($15) is marvelous and pairs wonderfully with great coffee. This isn't a typical donut, rather it's more of a delicate jeweled chocolate shell infused with light cream. The flavors include arroz con leche, chocolate salted caramel, and strawberries and cream, they're all yummy and not too sweet! Service from John, Bri, Andy, Daniel, and Annmarie is outstanding and fabulous! Everyone in the staff is very kind, attentive, courteous, efficient, and friendly. I have been to Las Vegas a few times, and one of my biggest complaints has always been finding a well made, strong cup of coffee on or near the strip. Sure there are Starbucks spread around in various locations, and yes a number of restaurants serve a version of coffee. But well made coffee in a cafe was not to be found. Until we happened upon Bar Centro nestled in the Crystal Shop right next to the Aria hotel. Ironically it is located where there used to be a Starbucks. The staffing is amazing, and the beverages are above an beyond the usual fair found on or off the strip. Each is hand made and not a programmed output of a major coffee chain system. They can be served with a number of Spanish pastries if you want, or if you want you can also grab a cocktail at their bar. The service is fast and efficient, and the seating is relaxed and perfectly situated at the crossroads of a number of stairways, so that if you are a people watcher, you can also enjoy that aspect. It is not noisy and you are not overpowered with music. And even though we only went there twice during our stay, two of the staff recognized us, and commented on us coming back. If you are looking for good coffee in Vegas, I recommend you stop by. Additional thoughts it is right off on one of the monorail stops, so it is convenient to get there as well. read more
