A delightful little speakeasy downtown. You'll have to figure out where to find it first! I've had some delicious drinks here. The setting is intimate and romantic. The Mary Pickford comes with amoretto cherry!

Best kept secret in downtown A hidden speakeasy in the back of Bodega. Most drinks are $10-12 They also have a small menu. Food: I tried the hummus and the pork belly. Hummus was creamy with onions. I would recommend asking for a spoon. Plenty of hummus left after the garlic crostini were gone. 9/10 The crispy pork belly was my favorite cut up and fried into bite sized bits served with agave honey mustard. 10/10 Drinks: I got the lions den and the Hemingway daiquiri The lions den was my favorite a sweet bourbon drink. 10/10 The Hemingway daiquiri was good a little sour for my taste. 8/10 My friends enjoyed their drinks the mary pickford and the love bird. I got to try them both. Both were good Mary pickford was my favorite 10/10. Lovebird 9/10.

So I am not sure if I should be posting this as this place is pretty hush hush but I won't tell you how to get in. Just figure it out. I found this reading some local websites and had to find it. It is a small room and we were lucky to score a table. Open ceiling, intimate. The drinks are very good. Their menu offerings are tequila centric but the bartender will make you what ever you want. Food options are pretty nice. We got some cracklings. Yummy! Little cubes of pork belly and a Smokey mustard dipping sauce. This is a really cool spot to have a cocktail. My hint to find it is if it looks like a door you can't enter, try anyway.

Really cool little spot in the back of bodega. It's one of the better speakeasy's in town that isn't really advertised as much which adds a level for me of authenticity, unlike a different bar pretending to be a speakeasy pretending to be a laundromat. Nice spot in the back, let's you out a side door which is great for a clean exit for the evening. Definitely a smaller space so would not recommend for large groups. Good casual cocktails with some forgotten classics and newly imagined. The lovebird and hibiscus were really well done with simple enough ingredients done in a nice balanced way with vibrant colors and quality tequila. The one thing I'll say is maybe get some lighter chairs or figure a way to quiet them. People drag those steel ones on concrete and the sound is horrendous. Other than that really well done 5/5 would recommend to a friend.

Well hidden place (inside Bodega) with great signature cocktails! Mostly rum based. This could be a great spot to hang with friends. No food that you can order, which is odd especially considering where its located. The vibe. Unfortunately it misses the mark. Very dark, the furniture is mixed mess of things and not very comfortable. The walls are practically bare. Even the shelves behind the bar is lacking. I was expecting a cool cuban bar but sadly what you get is a dark green storage room with some tables and chairs. So much potential, just need rich and vibrant cuban touches.

A decent speak easy located at the back of Bodega. I went with some friends Saturday night for a night cap and didn't know this was behind Bodega! We walked towards the bathroom and found this small bar behind a sliding door. The drinks were good and I got the airmail. It was a little crowded and not a lot of seating so I recommend coming with a smaller social group. Overall it was kind of cool to find this hidden spot!

Visiting from San Francisco with my bearded Frenchman. We found Bar Chica to be a hidden gem and close to downtown St Pete. We enjoyed several carefully crafted cocktails from a well curated cocktail menu. The decor was charming. The bartender friendly. We will definitely return!

Review Title: Negligently broke my 36-year sobriety, then laughed at us on the phone…read more On November 23, 2025, I ordered two plain tonic waters, explicitly asking for NO alcohol. The bartender negligently served us drinks loaded with vodka. Because of his carelessness, I tasted alcohol for the first time in over 36 years of hard-earned sobriety. The bartender apologized and promised the drinks were "on the house."Instead, they charged us $66.04. When we called management to fix it, we were only given a partial refund of $27.82, leaving an unauthorized $38.22 charge.Worse than the theft is the staggering cruelty of management. When Mike called to resolve this in January, the manager/owner on the phone literally laughed at us regarding the situation, alongside a room of his friends who joined in the mockery. To treat a severe, dangerous threat to a person's life and recovery as a joke is deeply unhinged. If you are sober, in recovery, or have a medical condition, stay far away from this venue. They do not care about your safety, and they will mock you for it.

We love the food and beer at The Burg Bar & Grill west of downtown St. Pete FL!…read more We have previously enjoyed their well-made Chicago Dogs and craft beer. This time (Apr 2026) we started with a creamily delicious ice-cold nitro beer. It was Milk Bone stout, locally crafted, toffee-flavored and lightly sweet from lactose. Pinellas Ale Works says it's almost a cafe con leche :-). It looks like they serve a larger pour of nitro-Guinness, if you like. Y'know, small nitro bubbles (around 25% to 30% CO2) create a smooth mouth-feel and, to me, seem much easier to imbibe than most beers' carbonation (100% CO2). Many places don't put in the extra equipment to serve nitro beers, so Thank You to The Burg! Their eat-in special is different every weekday. On this Wednesday (Apr 2026), it was $2 off their Cuban. Thin tender flavorful ham, pork, and salami, lightly bite-y Swiss cheese, and bright tart pickles, with plain yellow mustard & mayo. All pressed into hot bread. Perfectly savory and delicious! Except ... It wasnt Cuban bread, or any crusty bread, it was a hoagie roll :-( The bread wasnt even toasted! Hey! Mostly-excellent Burg, This is Tampa Bay, home of Cuban sandwiches! Do it right! Dunno if it was just an off-day bread-wise? My nearly-perfect Burg, please tweak this one thing. Yet they still earned that 5th star with their freshly hand-made very good lightly-seasoned crispy crispy Burg chips. We live for crunch! And you can upgrade the side to black-beans and rice, so, yeah, on target :-) And they let us go slightly off-menu with a BLT, which on the menu is part of a soup and sandwich combo. Lots of hot thin crispy bacon, sweet fresh tomatoes and lettuce, on lightly toasted bread. Very satisfying. The Burg Bar & Grill is pleasantly relaxed with a nicer-than-divey feel. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick with that cold cold beer! The food is only a Cuban-roll away from Perfect :-)

My vegan friend recommended Good Intentions, and I haven't had a nice vegan dinner in a while, so I decided to come see what this place was all about, in honor of my beloved Ethos. RIP. We make reservations, show up, park anywhere we can find in this wild, wild West portion of town, and start browsing the menu. It sounds absolutely delicious. We started off with the Southern Sriracha Crab Cakes (Hearts of palm and jackfruit crab cakes, sriracha pimento, Thai chili glaze, seitan bacon crumbles, pickled fresno, scallion, sesame). These were great. Very crispy, the inside was the spitting image of crab cake filler, and there was just enough Old Bay to really sell it. Spicy sauces and other elements made this quite the lovely little app. We also had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (Dan Dan tahini, toasted cashews, pickled fresnos, scallion). Wow, this was good. Tahini was a great choice, the sprouts were crispy crispy, and the cashews added a wonderful little crunch. My main was the Kimchi Fried Rice (Crispy fried jasmine rice, scrambled JustEgg, kimchi, sweet soy reduction, fried crab balls, kewpie aioli, scallion, sesame seeds). Better than some of the non-vegan fried rices I've had in my life! Great rice with some nice crisp, flavorful but not too funky kimchi, a nice soy sauce, and a nice aioli to sauce things up a bit. I also got to try a bucatini bolognese of some sort that I can't find on the menu anymore. Maybe it was a special. But it was good. Really deceivingly real meat crumbles, a lovely sauce, and bucatini is one of my favorite noodles. Big fan. Overall, this was not a good vegan meal. It was a good meal. I love places like this. I think that more people need exposure to places like this. I'll be back.
