Finally visited this new Bar 'Cino location for a fam birthday dinner and had a great experience! While we had no trouble getting a res for a group of 8 the day before, the place was completely full for the 6pm seating on a Monday night. Clearly people are happy to have a slightly more upscale, trendy spot like this in the neighborhood. We started with a few shared appetizers, and the highlights were probably the braised meatballs and fennel sausage pizza. The pizza here has a super thin crust and is served with scissors so you can cut it up yourself, which is a fun little experiential touch. We were super happy with the wine selection, but I will say I was disappointed in the La Gran Pina cocktail I tried first. I always get nervous when a cocktail comes out in a regular drinking glass, and I was proved right when this one was too sweet and the flavors were just a little off. I couldn't finish it and switched to wine instead. The entrees were perfect on the other hand! Some of the favorites at the table were the spaghetti carbonara, ricotta gnocchi, and braised beef short rib. I'd order any of them again in a heartbeat. We also all shared the pistachio ricotta cake for dessert, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the meal. Sooo light and smooth without being too sweet. Great little neighborhood spot, we'll be back to explore more of the menu before too long :)

Met a friend for dinner and drinks here for the first time. The restaurant was spacious with indoor and patio seatings. Staff were friendly and prompt. The drinks were good and the food ware hits and misses. We liked the clams and dessert.

All our dishes were delicious right down to the express dessert! Our waiter a Young man was very attentive filling our water and being sure we enjoyed! Restaurant was packed on a Monday! Make a reservation! Recommend!! Parking lot very icy!!

I didn't love the ambience here as much as the Brookline location probably because of the layout of the restaurant and where the bar is located. But the food is still great and so reasonably priced! The kale salad is the BEST and the salmon was delicious. They also have a great chicken milanese. I tried their dessert for the first time - the salted caramel gelato was delicious and the pistachio ricotta cake was really flavorful and light. Service was good and they have a nice wine list.

Went back to Bar 'Cino again last night after work. I wasn't sure whether or not they would still be serving food as I arrived shortly after 9:00. As luck would have it, their kitchen was open until 10:00. I ordered the Hot Air Balloon cocktail again as I had been dreaming about it since my last visit. I had the ceasar salad and pistachio gelato while I was there. The pistachio gelato is quickly becoming one of my favorite things. I ordered the mushroom pizza to go which was DELICIOUS. Many interesting flavors combined into one delicious flatbread pizza. Lisa was the bartender last night. She was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive even despite the fact that I arrived shortly before closing. This was my second visit to Bar 'Cino and I can confidently say that it is quickly becoming a new favorite spot.

Delicious food, friendly Staff, and great atmosphere. We made a reservation on a different day than intended. They accommodated us anyways. Thank you Bar'Cino!!

Had a good experience here recently. Pizza was unique, and better than I expected. Everything else was decent. Good service. Would return when/if in the area.

Great food. Went on a Sunday early and not too loud. Love love love the chicken Milanese

View of the women's room door from my table.

The view from my seat, and of those around me, had a clear sight line into the women's room. The picture shared is of the door closed, but frequently when the door was open I saw feet of women sitting in the stall going to the bathroom. Why the door swing isn't flipped to stop this view baffles me. Bon appetite.

The weather, the beer, the food and a fun barmaid in a wood paneled pub are all single qualifies that makes me harken back to my past, living in London and then in North Wales in the 1980s. And the other patrons, Americans all, still were like an American version of an English pub crowd. There were young and old, posh business types, sitting next to manual laborers.. The barmaid (whose name was known by most of the regulars there, although I have forgotten it (alas I must be getting old!) is a pistol. Always chatting and joking, while she poured pints, and even Bells scotch, which is a standard blend found in just about every pub in England. The only sense that was missing was the ubiquitous scent of wood (oak) found in almost all of the pubs in Britain. That unmistakable scent you can find in the many old (generally Irish) pubs around Faneuil Hall, btw. When I asked the barmaid (always smiling and laughing) about the fish n chips, she gave a wink and said "ooh, Love. Ya picked the best day for that. The fish is delivered from the dock every Wednesday." I ordered a pint of Smithwicks ale to enjoy at the bar, as she took my order for fish n chips. She leaned forward and whispered to me, somewhat conspiratorially, that it's served with salad, as the owner has not yet found a coleslaw recipe that meets his standards. Very evocative again. I watched, listened and drank my ale deeply, as the barmaid described another barmaid as "so wonderful, the only thing missing is there should be two of her!" We all nodded and laughed. Fun place. The fish n chips arrived hot, very fresh and perfectly crunchy with beer batter. The chips (fries) were hand cut, as you could see the small bits of potato skin at the ends. Served with a very attractive and crunchy salad, and of course malt vinegar, it was a bargain at a lower price than the $20+ charged at many local watering holes. I ordered another pint, and then dug in. It was very fresh and somewhat thick piece cod. The flesh of the fish separates into large fleshy flakes under the crispy beer batter, and the chips had flavor (as opposed to the more common extruded fries usually found here). But it's more than just the food and the bar. The atmosphere at this pub is so very real--sort of the best aspects of some nice neighborhood cozy pubs in Britain. If it's cold outside, you can just shamble in, and rub your hands together and mutter "lovely" as you savor your drink and food. Welcome!

Our waitress was extremely friendly, and happily answered all questions about the menu and pub. She told us they have live music 2 nights a week (seasonally, I think), a weekly specials' menu, a pool table with specials' nights, and even board games available for patrons to use. The atmosphere is casual with wooden dining tables on one side, a long high table with multiple high seating running through the center of room and a long bar along the inside wall. There's a pool table in the rear. Tables had nice space between them; we didn't feel crowded in. The menu had all the modern pub favorites plus a list of chef's specials for the week featuring "an ingredient of the week". Thanks

It was achingly cold outside, and the bar was absolutely packed, so I was seated in a somewhat remote corner. I ordered a mojito, but they were out of mint, so I chose a scotch, and immediately ordered an onion soup to start, which was decent, but not as hot as I would have liked, and the broth was a bit one dimensional (clearly, it was made too quickly without the complexity of caramelized onions). I soon learned that the particular seafood entrees (2 in particular) were sold out, and I ended up with a salad (kind of unremarkable, but again, not inedible). The problem is that I ended up abandoned by the waitress, so no desserts, no additional drinks, and no check. I literally had to wander about the restaurant for at least 5 to 10 minutes just to ask for someone (anyone!) to bring me a check, which eventually arrived. On my way out, I told the hostess that they should try to keep an eye on patrons, as (if I were not of some moral principles) one could simply leave without paying. Her classic response was "yeah, we're real busy." I refrained from telling her "all the more reason to keep a watchful eye," as it was clear she wasn't listening.
