Great little restaurant in Conshohocken! Very popular and for good reason. The food and staff here are great! They have outdoor and indoor seating options, along with sliding glass doors along the patio. We dined here on a Saturday evening at prime time, and while it did take a little time for the food to come out, everything was delicious and worth it. We ordered Arancini and Burrata for starters, along with the Shortrib Rigatoni, Crab Mafaldine, and Bucatini for entrees. The arancini was good, not the best I've had but still yummy, the burrata was soft and not under salted. Our pasta was perfectly cooked and freshly made which was an added bonus! All of the sauces were perfectly creamy and seasoned. The short rib was very tender and a great compliment to the rigatoni. Next time I'm in the area I will certainly consider coming back to try a whole new round of dishes! read more

This was the best dish at the table by far. Was a little disappointed with everything else. We had several apps/entrees/ and desserts and they were mediocre at best. I don't think it's a good value for what you are paying. You can get better tasting food for less money at other places. However, The service was phenomenal. We enjoyed Bar Lucca this evening. Sat at the bar, as they were booked and we came with little notice. Aaron was pleasant and welcoming. The house red and white wine were good choices. The fresh bread was soft and tasty - great with the olive oil. We shared a cheese board app, a mushroom pizza and a Crab pasta - all were enjoyed and very good. My husband and I loved our experience here! The atmosphere for dinner was dark and romantic. They have a parking lot which is great because street parking isn't always easy to find in that area. There are tvs in the bar area where they were showing the flyers game but definitely did not feel like a sports bar. The weather was nice so they had the sliders out to the porch open. I had an amazing limoncello prosecco cocktail that I have unsuccessful tried to recreate at home. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were perfectly crispy with a yummy sweet and tangy sauce. For dinner I had the short rib rigatoni which I loved. The portion was big so I had some leftover foe the next day. Omg the food was so good here! The bread came out first wrapped in a brown paper and felt cold to the touch. I was skeptical because you usually want warm fresh bread. I was wrong. It was a delight!! So doughy and fresh and delicious! There was olive oil in the table with a slightly green tint that was seasoned with salt and pepper and who knows what else and was so so good. I water an entire loaf of bread. We tried a few appetizers which were the star of the show. The Brussels sprouts, calamari and burrata were perfection. We split a few pizzas for dinner and they were very good. Same awesome doughy amazingness. Was a little jealous of people who got pasta dishes because those looked so fabulous as well. Bar Lucca is absolutely incredible. From the service to the food to the drinks, I cannot think of one negative thing to say (other than that they are too far from me in the city!) Tonight my 7 year old son went to a drop-off birthday party and how convenient - dinner time and in Conshohocken. So psyched to have kid free date night at a causal modern Italian restaurant dinner. Made 5:30 reservations on Open Table Located in row house neighborhood, the restaurant has a small parking lot which fills up quickly - 2 spots left. The restaurant has inside seating, a long bar and big glass accordion doors to the front patio. We were greeted by friendly hosts who walked us through a the main dinning room . The ambiance was loud and vibrant. Seated on the front patio the cars driving by was a bit loud however the weather was fabulous. I started out with a Prosecco spritzer with limoncello and mint. So refreshing! We started out with the fried calamari - crispy and fried with a light dust of corn starch's. For my main course was hard to choose - the menu was 1 page but all fresh and artisan clean ingredients- Neapolitan pizza, thin crust , homemade pastas, lamb,steak scallops and salmon entrees and a chefs tasting. I went with the short rib rigatoni in a tomato cream sauce. Fresh homemade pasta with a super comfort- garlic cheesy cream tomato and tender short rib meat. My husband ordered the sausage Neapolitan pizza- I had a bite and crust was perfect- chewy and the smoked mozzarella sausage and caramelized onions with a freshness of zucchini was delicious. Service was a bit slow at first - maybe bc we switched to outside at the last moment- however Pulitzer server was excellent attentive. Next time I will save room for the homemade deserts. Nutella donuts! Gelato! Homemade cake! I wish I could eat more. I will be back !! read more

This place was great. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, oh and the food was equally as great. Started with the crispy Brussels, watch it, they've got some hidden spice. I like spicy so it was welcomed. I came for the lamb chops. They did not disappoint! Prepared perfectly, tender, tasty and succulent. Paired nicely with a garlic mash and zucchini. How lucky are we to walk a few blocks to a fabulous new restaurant right here in Conshohocken?! Sorry some of you will have to take a short ride, but it is well worth it. With inspiration from his family's origins in Lucca, Italy, Brian Pieri (who also owns The StoneRose) has given us a true taste and feel of Tuscany with a modern flair. The local offering of Karamoor Wine on tap is such a treat and anyone who knows about wine,would appreciate this offering. Prior to tasting Karamoor, I turned my nose up at Pennsylvania wines, but now this is one of my favorite New World wines. A merlot should be served a bit chilled, just as it is served at Bar Lucca.. The food is spectacular and interesting. I love the brick oven and the unique taste it lends to the pizza. Seating outside is always a plus, no matter where you are located! All of the staff, treats you as if you are the only patron and everyone has a smile on their face, making you feel welcomed and appreciated. Holy cow. We came here originally as a second choice option because our first choice happened to be closed on Monday's and I couldn't be happier about our decision. Me and two girlfriends shared a fantastic afternoon enjoying the breeze and the shade on the front patio while savoring every bite of what we ordered. We split the farmhouse salad, gnocchis and a pizza that I cannot pronounce as well as Brussels sprouts to start and everything was incredible. Loved my experience at Bar Lucca! We came here last night for my boyfriends moms birthday dinner. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us last minute which was great! It was a Thursday night so I think it was a bit easier for us to get in last minute but would recommend making a reservation on the weekends! We started off with the calamari appetizer which was very tasty. I really liked the lemon aïoli dressing on top! My boyfriend and I decided to split the Tartufo Neapolitan pizza and the bucatini pasta. Both were very delicious and packed with a lot of flavor! The pizza was huge and very filling. Definitely could've split the pizza amongst the table. I really enjoyed the pasta dish and the pasta was so so fresh. Our server was very friendly and helpful the entire time! Solid neopolitan style pizza. Mediocre pasta with good sauce. We ordered the Margherita pizza. The dough was fresh and delightfully soft and fluffy as with well executed Neopolitan style. The sauce was a bit too bright/acidic and not savoury enough for my taste. Cheese was fresh and savoury and came in fair portion on the pie. I also ordered the Papardelle with Boar Ragu. Farfalle was too doughy and undercooked. It maintained too much chew. While it wasnt hard, it was not delicate enough on the bite. The boar ragu was excellent. I found it properly seasoned. The boar was moist and tender. The sauce had enough fat to be savory but not overpowering. It had enough herbal notes to be light and fresh on the palate. 2/5 on the fresh Farfalle. 3.5/5 on the pizza sauce. 4.5/5 on everything else. read more

I came here for my friend's birthday dinner and I was actually very impressed! I typically never come to the Conshy area, but this restaurant was absolute fire. The strawberry basil cocktail was delicious - not too sweet and not too strong, perfection! The complementary bread was delicious and came with olive oil on the side. My friends and I got the calamari. This was paired nicely with a tahini and tomato hummus, which was SOOOOO delicious! We licked this clean . For dinner, I got the the sirloin steak with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare and the seasonal vegetables were phenomenal! Every single bite was finger licking good. Lastly, for dinner, I got the Nutella donut and WOW, this was by far the best. The donut was warm and the Nutella inside just melted - fireworks everywhere! It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant where everything was top notch. The food was excellent! Tasted like true Italian cuisine. The service was wonderful and friendly and added to the overall ambiance. The ambiance was a mix between an upscale bar and a sports bar. It was packed but comfortable enough to hear each other and not feel crowded. And the FOOD! Did I tell you about the food??? The fried eggplant was so good I ordered another to take home. The crispy Brussels were so good- they had a nice kick to them but subtle in their sweetness. We had pizza of course, Margherita and Tarfuro. Tarfuro was wonderful. Ordered a few cocktails and they weren't strong or anything special. Then go the entrees: the gnocchi was ok. Wasn't my favorite. The other pasta dish with prosciutto was good but nothing wowing or special. Pasta dishes were pretty small To have paid 80-85 dollars for 2 drinks and 2 entrees that weren't worth a second try, I'm not impressed. I would recommend checking out another spot. read more

I went to Bar Lucca with friends and was so happy with the service! They have so much spacious outdoor seating options, and my party of four was luckily seated in the front tables - so pretty! Our waitress was extremely attentive (and always wearing her mask), she was constantly checking on us. Since we had a later reservation, she came out mid dinner to offer the dessert menu and check if we wanted to make sure that the fryer in the back didn't shut down. Oh wow, ok! Bar Lucca, I see you over there with your cute delicious self! The roasted Brussels with lemon aioli are OUTRAGEOUS! Don't even question getting some to split to start! UNREAL! UN-REAL!! Perhaps even my favorite date, at that's one of our go-to apps wherever we go! They were piping hot, perfectly crispy on the leaves with just the right amount of kick with the Calabrian chili oil! Yeah baby! We also indulged in the Testaroli with pesto, sea salt and Parmesan. I have never seen this type of soft square pasta before, not even in Italy, and it was such a hit!! If you too have never tried it, definitely give it a go here!! It was light in weight and so unique. Think ravioli with only one side....but better. We also ordered the Gnocchi with black garlic cream sauce, pancetta, scallions and parmesan tuille minus the pancetta, which wasn't a problem. The gnocchi were huge and very authentic styled. My daughter wouldn't share because she loved it so much and hubs said the leftovers were amazing!! Portions are quite large and extremely rich. I recommend ordering less and then adding, unless you're ready for leftovers like we had. Initially we came for HH, which takes place from 5-7pm M-F, but were later told after being seated on their lovely outdoor patio, that menu is reserved for the bar only. Whomp whomp. I'll have to remember that for next time as their flatbreads at a very reasonable price looked awesome! Plates came out remarkably quick and the place is super cute, even inside. Food is without a doubt a 5 star!! Friendliness of server and the fact that HH is reserved for certain sections without letting us know is why I'm giving a 4. I am DEFINITELY coming back!! read more

Our server was a sweetheart and made us feel welcome, didn't rush us (even though it was busy - I'd recommend making reservations!), answered all my random questions, and was exceptionally personable! 3 things that made my tastebuds remarkably happy: * Affogato Doppio, the fresh brewed espresso poured over your choice of gelato, my-oh-my where have you been all my life!! This is a MUST HAVE - coffee and dessert - HEAVEN SENT. Yes, yes, I know the dessert menu has some pretty mouthwatering options and I too struggled between choosing this or a Nutella dessert, but this was perfect I tell you. The only gelato option that really stood out to me was the pistachio, which sounded weird with the gelato so our server said she won't pour the espresso on top so we can experiment first. AMAZING. Do not knock it until you try it. One of the simplest, yet best desserts I've had in my life. * The caramelized onions. We asked for onions on our Neapolitan Style Pizza and immediately upon the server placing the pie on the table, the aromas of the onions made us salivate. They were so flavorful and together with the buffalo mozzarella - bomb dot com! * Pizza comes with a side of FRESH OREGANO. I don't know why more restaurants don't do this. Had dinner there on 3/18. We showed up without a reservation on a Saturday night. They were able to squeeze us in. We were seated at the bar upstairs. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was awesome. I had the scallops, my wife had gnocchi and my daughter ordered a pizza. The was a lot of sharing of food because the food was all so tasty.
