I went to Bar Lucca with friends and was so happy with the service! They have so much spacious outdoor seating options, and my party of four was luckily seated in the front tables - so pretty! Our waitress was extremely attentive (and always wearing her mask), she was constantly checking on us. Since we had a later reservation, she came out mid dinner to offer the dessert menu and check if we wanted to make sure that the fryer in the back didn't shut down. Oh wow, ok! Bar Lucca, I see you over there with your cute delicious self! The roasted Brussels with lemon aioli are OUTRAGEOUS! Don't even question getting some to split to start! UNREAL! UN-REAL!! Perhaps even my favorite date, at that's one of our go-to apps wherever we go! They were piping hot, perfectly crispy on the leaves with just the right amount of kick with the Calabrian chili oil! Yeah baby! We also indulged in the Testaroli with pesto, sea salt and Parmesan. I have never seen this type of soft square pasta before, not even in Italy, and it was such a hit!! If you too have never tried it, definitely give it a go here!! It was light in weight and so unique. Think ravioli with only one side....but better. We also ordered the Gnocchi with black garlic cream sauce, pancetta, scallions and parmesan tuille minus the pancetta, which wasn't a problem. The gnocchi were huge and very authentic styled. My daughter wouldn't share because she loved it so much and hubs said the leftovers were amazing!! Portions are quite large and extremely rich. I recommend ordering less and then adding, unless you're ready for leftovers like we had. Initially we came for HH, which takes place from 5-7pm M-F, but were later told after being seated on their lovely outdoor patio, that menu is reserved for the bar only. Whomp whomp. I'll have to remember that for next time as their flatbreads at a very reasonable price looked awesome! Plates came out remarkably quick and the place is super cute, even inside. It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant where everything was top notch. The food was excellent! Tasted like true Italian cuisine. The service was wonderful and friendly and added to the overall ambiance. The ambiance was a mix between an upscale bar and a sports bar. It was packed but comfortable enough to hear each other and not feel crowded. And the FOOD! Did I tell you about the food??? The fried eggplant was so good I ordered another to take home. The crispy Brussels were so good- they had a nice kick to them but subtle in their sweetness. We had pizza of course, Margherita and Tarfuro. Tarfuro was wonderful. Our server was a sweetheart and made us feel welcome, didn't rush us (even though it was busy - I'd recommend making reservations!), answered all my random questions, and was exceptionally personable! 3 things that made my tastebuds remarkably happy: * Affogato Doppio, the fresh brewed espresso poured over your choice of gelato, my-oh-my where have you been all my life!! This is a MUST HAVE - coffee and dessert - HEAVEN SENT. Yes, yes, I know the dessert menu has some pretty mouthwatering options and I too struggled between choosing this or a Nutella dessert, but this was perfect I tell you. The only gelato option that really stood out to me was the pistachio, which sounded weird with the gelato so our server said she won't pour the espresso on top so we can experiment first. AMAZING. Do not knock it until you try it. One of the simplest, yet best desserts I've had in my life. * The caramelized onions. We asked for onions on our Neapolitan Style Pizza and immediately upon the server placing the pie on the table, the aromas of the onions made us salivate. They were so flavorful and together with the buffalo mozzarella - bomb dot com! * Pizza comes with a side of FRESH OREGANO. I don't know why more restaurants don't do this. Visiting Conshohocken and decided to go here as a pre test celebratory dinner. We were very satisfied. Came on a Monday night around 5:30pm and immediately seated. As time went on, the restaurant filled up pretty well for a Monday night. Started off with: Bread: the free bread was not pleasing...but we got a to enjoy some pretty good olive oil Baby arugula salad - great salad, meat to cheese to tomato ratio was well balanced. great taste. i really enjoyed the blue cheese Meatballs - could use some more flavoring but the texture was very well done. very moist but maybe I just like my meatballs in a tomato sauce. Cheeseboard - rustic pecorino was underwhelming. tbh besides the Gorgonzola, the only other thing i liked were the yellow raisins. Entrees: These really did it for me. So so goooooood Risotto special with truffle oil, mushrooms, and braised short rib - this was amazingggggg. Risotto texture was on point. truffle oil did not overpower the mushrooms or the short rib (which was extremely tender) and it all blended so well together. Couldn't get over the lovely truffle taste. Soprassata pizza: fantastic pizza. great leoparding on the crust. crust is soft and springy, tastes AMAZING WITH THE CHILI OIL. I can't get over it. Food: Arancini was very good, also didn't feel as guilty eating deep fried items since it was covered in pears 4 stars. Bruschetta was a hit and I'll be giving that 5 stars, I make it myself a lot and loved the sun fried tomato addition. Caprese flat bread fell flat, just didn't have as much flavor as everything 3 stars. Also had the happy hour meat and cheese board which was mediocre but it was cheap so yeah. Service: 5 stars. Very friendly and helpful staff helped us pick out a good wine and just made took care of us even while it was crowded. If you wanted bland food that's covered in grease, this is the place. Spent almost $80 for 2 children sized portions of terrible food and some sides. My girlfriend's only notable remark for the gnocchi was "at least there was bacon in it" trash food. My boar Ragu was swimming in so much oil the U.S. tried to invade. We like to try food from different places and this has by far been the worst to date. PS. Talked to GM of the place and she was super nice and told me they would rectify the issues and gave me a refund. I hope they get it fixed as this is a really cute place and has plenty of potential. Came here for the first time a week ago and have already been back. My new go-to after work HH. They have different drink specials each day - my fav day being half price bottles of wine on Mondays! I love their wine selection. Not too crowded and they have a parking lot which is very convenient. Supposedly they are owned by the same person who owns Stone Rose, another neighborhood favorite. The food is delish. My favorite are the arancini, the burrata, the Brussels! Their flatbreads were decent, tried both the Caprese and prosciutto. The cheeseboard was disappointing. Hate to criticize a place in this environment but we were very disappointed with an excessively expensive meal last night. Service was super slow. Our mixed drinks were very different every time (yes we ordered the same every time). The free bread that came with oil was gooey... no joke. Our appetizers were drowned in salt. Our salmon was way over cooked. And our waitress didn't ask us if we wanted dessert. We asked for menus and were shocked that there's nothing with chocolate. So delicious!! We started with the arugula and prosciutto pizza which I loved! I wish the mozz was spread out more, there were some bites that were all cheese and some with none. My boyfriend got the carbonara which he loved. It was creamy and spicy and very filling! I got the scallops over sweet potato purée and they were so delicious. We didn't save room for desert so we will have to come back! Our waiter was also super friendly and very attentive, I think it was Tim or Dan. How does this place have such good reviews? Our meal was literal garbage. I was here for a bridal shower about 2 years ago, and I thought it was decent so I decided to try it for dinner. The fried calamari was salty and lacked flavor. There wasn't enough aioli, which should have also been on the side for the dry pieces. The wild boar pappardelle was a salt lick. Almost inedible. It was so off putting because if the salt. And the noodles were so thick. I wouldn't even call it pappardelle. They were like mini lasagna noodles. The pasta with the mushrooms and truffle cream sauce had zero flavor. None. This meal actually needed some salt. Disappointing dish. The bread at the beginning of the meal also sucked. It was low quality bread, you guessed it.... covered in salt. The only redeeming quality was the service, which I can't complain about. I left here so thirsty, and so dissatisfied for the amount of money we spent on such low quality food. We were ripped off. The chefs should start tasting their food. read more

I brought my parents here for their wedding anniversary, and I must say Bar Luca is very much on point. A rustic look that has been inspired with an Italian flare to it. The owner is from Tuscany, where he brought the flavors from Toscana, a region that is known for its cuisine and unique dishes. I have been to Tuscany , and my friends he is legit when it comes to those dishes. The people of Conshy, I am somewhat envious that you have this gem at your fingertips. That is Conshohocken for those not familiar with the area. A cozy atmosphere with an Italian kitchen feel to it is what you would encounter when coming in here. This was our menu, at Bar Luca : *Charred Octopus~ This is a must order if you are a fan. Perfectly done, with a texture that was made just right. That lemon vinaigrette is killer, that made this dish pop to another level. *Bronzino~ This was my fathers dish that he had gone with. This was served in a bowl with capers, olives, with roasted tomatoes over a bed of fregola which is a form of pastina. It is safe to say my father enjoyed it, no complaints on his end. *Chilean Sea Bass~ This was my mothers dish that she had gone with. She too clearly enjoyed her dish that also came with a butternut squash type of puree, zucchini noodles, dressed in a lemon vinaigrette. *Wood Fired Prime Sirloin~ I had this dish , which I must say I thoroughly enjoyed. When our waitress asked how I would prefer it I asked for it to be "Pittsburged". These guys hit it on the nail with it laying over top a sun-choke puree, with a balsamic drizzled over top. *Affogato Doppio (x3)~ This is where you can enjoy an espresso and gelato at the same time. Pistachio was the gelato of choice, which made it perfect seeing you didn't need any sugar to go with it. In all this is a great spot to enjoy an amazing meal where they made sure you are well accommodated at all times. We went for a friend's birthday dinner here tonight and it was very good. We started with the burrata, meatballs and sopressata pizza. I thought these were the highlight of the night! We then split two pastas- bucatini and short rib rigatoni. Both were excellent- I slightly preferred the short rib. That said, the bucatini was vegetarian and had awesome cherry tomatoes. For dessert we got the Nutella donuts (a special), panna cotta and cappuccino. The desserts weren't my favorite. The cappuccino was perfectly hot but I didn't taste a ton of espresso. I also tried the basil drop cocktail which was fresh and I'd compare to a spiked lemonade. It was packed and depending on your seat you can watched the open kitchen a making dough and pizzas. I'm leaving a 4 star review only because they don't give you a 4.7- 4.9. I want it to be believable I have had dinner & lunch in the brick & mortar building a few times. I have also had stuff delivered to my Home. Unfortunately it's never the same as in the restaurant.m, and that's technically nobody's Fault in the restaurant end. My personal dining experiences have been good ones. Even though things have never been perfect , there's not a restaurant can be perfect. It's literally impossible.That being said. They are on point and do an amazing job. My last meal there, was the grilled/ seared bone in pork chop served on a bed of fried sage seasoned mashed potatoes/ with asparagus tips. It was not my usual selection, even though I dig pork chops. it was the quintessential sleeper meal for me, and I'm fussy. I am not over the top fussy, I believe a hotdog should taste like a hotdog and be cooked like a hotdog. And everything from their forward. I will be back again. I dig the pizza & wine. They seemed to follow COVID safety protocols and give you an option to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose to sit outside. They have a great space for outdoor dining and have an area in a large tent which I was very happy about. We ordered some beers and cocktails to start. I enjoyed the sangria (though it was in a small glass for $12) I decided to yolo because it was anniversary night. We ordered the calamari and burrata for apps. I think next time I'd like to try the meatballs. We ordered 2 personal pizzas for our entree. We got the Soppresata and margherita pizzas. Decently priced and delicious considering the food is sourced from their farm. We ended the evening with an espresso gelato and it was perfect. Will be back soon to try more dishes! read more

Sometimes you get the chili oil, the Bianca pizza is normally burnt or undercooked, and you never get the bread. Ordered food tonight and for the fifth time in a row we didn't get the pizza sides or the bread and we had to cook to pizza for an additional 25 minutes. The Kale Cesar salad was terrible. You can normally split it with two people but this was barely enough for one. I would recommend going there to eat but I would never recommend anyone getting takeout. My boyfriend took me here for dinner for the first time and we had a nice meal on Sunday night. The place became very busy just after we arrived so while we may have been fine without one, I was glad we had a reservation. It can be hard to hear when the tables are all full and the music was a little loud for my taste. Our waitress was very nice and although she seemed somewhat flustered from the busy tables she did not rush us. We started with the olive oil tasting which has 3 olive oils and comes with bread. The olive oils were fine but nothing spectacular. I'm sure they have complimentary bread and we'll likely just have that next time. First off the margherita was excellent and I mean excellent. The crust was perfect. I could just eat the crust without anything on top. The octopus was a bit of a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was good buuuuut I felt like it was missing something. We went to Bar Lucca last night after another restaurant in the area was too loud and crowded for our tastes. Despite being around 7:15pm on a busy Saturday night we were able to call ahead for a table for 2 and get seated by 7:30 when we arrived. The food was all delicious. We started with the Burrata and Pear and Walnut salad, which were both great and a good size to share with 2 people. We followed up with the savory Trottole and were so full we got our Margherita pizza to go because it was taking a bit longer to prepare.
