Searching for a new local place for manis & pedis. Tried this out on a Sunday, mid day, which was probably my first mistake. First time there and I had to ask how to select my polish as no one even asked what I wanted. I had booked a deluxe pedi and mani with Kim online. Said my service would take 1 hour and 15 mins. My entire service took 49 minutes. It was so rushed, there was no relaxing. The lady was so distracted she only massaged my left leg, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the hot towel touched my leg for 5 seconds. Hovering over the chair for my mani she missed filing the corners smooth (see photo). Then we were told to get up and pay now. I had to go home and file my own nails after. Not worth the $115 (I did tip 20%). Lesson learned and I won't go back. read more

The nail techs tried their best. But the whole thing felt rushed. The online app had us choose a technician. But when we entered, no one asked our names nor did we see the technicians we requested. A service defined to take an hour and 15 minutes was crammed into 55 minutes. I don't want the average response of coming back for a refund or to fix any issues. Stand by what you offer and respect your nail technicians. Don't make them rush from customer to customer. read more

Please consider this 3.5 stars :) This spot is so convenient that it's hard not to make it my go-to place. The staff is extremely friendly and I love their whole set up, but I'll admit I didn't have the greatest pedicure recently. The massage was amazing, but I did a white polish which didn't come out smooth, and it started chipping within a few days (I didn't go with gel but a few days seems surprising for regular..). I cannot speak to their manicures but maybe go with a regular color if you're coming in for a pedi! read more

To say this place is terrible would be an understatement. If i could give them no stars i would. Terrible service, i went in this morning to get my nails done and once i got home I noticed that the acrylic was caked under my nails. I went back shortly to get them fixed and the MANAGER told me to take a seat. I waited 25 minutes and saw person after person without any appointment get pulled back before me. It wasn't like I was asking for them to be completely redone, i simply wanted the acrylic underneath the nail drilled down. Furthermore the manager left shortly after i got there so i don't know if anyone even knew why i was there. I have never been treated this way and to say im angry cant even put into words. If you dont request Christina then i wouldnt spend my money or time at this establishment. Unfortunately the way i was treated today, i will never set foot in there again. I really enjoyed my pedicure and manicure. They had a large selection of colors and were quick to get me seen. However not even a week later and almost all of my gel nails are lifted. I got my nails done on Mother's Day (Sunday) and by Friday multiple nails were lifted. I was bummed because I really enjoyed the experience and the salon, but I expect my gel manicures to last at least 2 weeks. Probably will not return. read more

If I could give this place 100 negative stars, I would. I decided to brave this place, and I should've just listened to the reviews. I have never been more uncomfortable in a nail salon, ever, in my life. First off, it's very awkwardly quiet in there. I decided to treat myself for my birthday, well if you want to treat yourself for your birthday, the 4th of July or just a random Wednesday save your money and go someplace else. Wendy was nice at first till she wasn't. When she put on my acrylic, I asked for shorter nails but, not too short. Well, she made them real short so, I asked her to redo them. The second I asked her to redo them, I should have left. She rolled her eyes and took them off and redid them. Mind you, they had just been glued on. They weren't even shaped yet. Well after, they were extremely long, and I tried to ask her to go shorter. And she got real sassy with me. I wanted to tell everyone who walked in please leave and go someplace else!!!! I asked her to file my nails quite a few times just so they would match, and they would be a tad bit shorter. I felt like I kept having to say sorry for something I was paying for. When I went to pay I asked Wendy if she could, please, file them a little bit more, and she responded with "I asked you about the length a million times this is on you!!!" And said she couldn't get anyone to help me because, she was the one to do my nails. She proceeded to raise her voice over and over and speak to her coworkers loudly about me, so, much so I started crying in the middle of the shop. I assumed whoever was the manger finally came over and filed down my nails some. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. The manger didn't even try to make things right, and stood in the doorway till I paid. I shared with the owner I didn't feel like it wasn't worth paying the price I was paying. I went in to ask for who did my nails name after I collected myself some and everyone just stopped talking and looked at me. I just wanted nice birthday nails and left with a birthday break down. All that to say, it's worth it to go someplace that actually values you as a human. Out of all the comments on this post. I'm the only one the owner commented back to. I also, got a pedicure which I loved. But, I also feel like leaving a nail salon, you should feel satisfied with what you got. I never said I wasn't going to pay. Also, I would love to know how it was the intention at the beginning of the visit (not to pay) when I came in and had a conversation with Wendy about what I wanted. Not once did I say anything about pay besides asking about pricing cause, I hadn't been there before. I asked Wendy to actually do the same shape and color of her nails. I loved the way hers look and I was looking for the same thing. I don't want to say I am a nail snob, but maybe because I went to the same person for nearly 7 years, I learned a lot from her about the procedure, what is good, bad, and the ugly. I have been to 5 different nail places here and have yet to find a place to call home (where I will return). This place is clean and nice. The set up is literally a bar where they do manicures. My pedicure was good, and Kim was my nail tech. She was super sweet. I had heard about this place from my Banfield folks so wanted to check it out. The pedicure I got was the basic one and she snipped my ingrowns. That was good. My manicure was done dry, which I mentioned in my previous review, is extremely strange phenomenon to me. I do not understand why it is done this way and I do not like it. But my nails still ended up ok; the color is great and she took great care to make sure they looked great. For the mani/pedi, the total was $72 + $20 tip. read more

Today I went through all of googles reccomended for dip powder nails near me and I stumbled upon a gem. I called Bar Nails and the lady on the phone was so helpful and so sweet I couldn't help but book an appointment there as soon as I could. They were able to get me in within 15 minutes of my call AND they held true to my appointment. I was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted a water while I chose my color. The staff here is amazing and so welcoming. My nail tech was by far one of the most amazing, patient, helpful people I have ever met. I had Hai as my nail tech and he is so welcoming, funny, and such a talented nail artist. He was engaging and didn't rush at all. I could tell he took pride in his work and the attention to detail. He took such good care of me while creating the look I wanted perfectly. If you ever decide to try this place out, PLEASE request Hai as your tech because he listens and is so precise. He made sure I wasn't in pain and didn't drill my nails to the point where they were in pain. He was so fun to chat with and wasn't like most techs who just ignore you and try to push as many customers through as possible. Hai will be my go to from now on. My nails are something I take pride in and I love what he was able to do. The shape is beautiful and they're not too thick. They're amazing to say the least. To start things off, I got a pedi here and it was great. I got the step up from basic, I don't think it was worth 10$ more but at the end of the day my nails turned out so I can't complain. However, the mani is what earned the low rating. One of the other workers came up, and assumingly told my nail tech to hurry up, cause suddenly he was in a rush and had me soak my hands while he finished my toes. Then all he did was cut my nails, didn't even file them, and put on a clear coat. I originally picked a color but asked for no color thinking he would slow down and do a better job. Wow, things certainly did not start off on the right foot when I first visited Bar Nails and Spa for a mani/pedi. I'm thankful to a "regular" patron for stepping in to help clear up what was a miscommunication and misunderstanding for services rendered through ClassPass. I also think ClassPass needs to do a better job educating its members as to how transactions occur on the back end of its not intuitive. Here is how it all went down. I used ClassPass and credits for a manicure and a pedicure. When I came in, I had my nails done and went to check out advising that the reservation had been confirmed through ClassPass. The business owner was unaware and unfamiliar. She had never signed up To do business with ClassPass. What this a fraudulent transaction? Couldn't have been because I use ClassPass for fitness, nails, massage, etc. I opened the app, walked her through how the app worked and how I secured appointments with businesses via ClassPass credits I have as a part of my membership. The Owen explained that she was not a part of ClassPass and had never signed a contract to do business. Hmmmmm, what was I to do? Thankfully, the owner checked her email and saw that ClassPass issued a gift certificate for my reservation. Not what either of us would have expected to be the case for my visit or my payment but it worked out on both sides. I am now an avid customer that uses ClassPass each and every time to secure my manicure and pedicure when visiting Bar Nails and Spa. I continue to be impressed with the staff, the way they all work together so well, as well as how warm and welcoming they are to me. This is the third nail salon I've tried out in Castle Rock looking for quality service. I had terrible nails on that I knew had to come off as they were super thick and gross. I told Katie I wanted dip nails and thankfully they actually have dip nails - too many places lately say they have them and then try to do some trickery on you that's not dip nails at all. Katie did a wonderful job. She got all the old gross nails off without hurting me and had the new ones on quickly and with quality. Where she really won me over was the shape. I asked for almond and too many people can't shape them right and she killed it. I noticed other reviews mentioned cleanliness and honestly there wasn't anything that had me concerned for cleanliness and I'm a nurse. The only complaint I have is that she could have been a little more gentle when filing the extensions down. She ended up cutting one of my fingers under my nail because of the file. I explained twice it was GEL and had to wrapped in foil to remove. Seriously. 3. He took out a drill - and I understand removing the top layer - but he tried to remove the WHOLE manicure! It was drilling on my pinky so harshly. Pain!! I pulled my hand away and asked if he could file and then wrap. Seriously. 4.
