I really like this place . Chicken wings are large and very awesome . Cajun has a great taste to it . Back patio is perfect for relaxing . Bartenders are very friendly . How ever they only deliver food in the bar bar , no service... so go get it . Awesome vibe . They screened the crow for devils night . Enjoyed watching the movie .

What may be the best wings in town.

Great little neighborhood bar with a great little courtyard for music and entertainment. The food here is good and above all are the wings. The cajun wings are some of the best wings I have ever eaten. So good.

Turns out we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate the Biden Presidency-to-be. I thought this was just a late-night bar, but they do food and they do it well! We got there as they were opening up and the owner warned us the kitchen wouldn't be ready to go for 30 minutes or so, but since we were in full celebratory mode, that was fine. She took us back to their darling patio and brought us our drinks. In the meantime we chatted with a cook and the other owner, who were just excited about the day's events as we were. When another patron showed up with a bottle of Dom Perignon, the night just got better! My two friends ordered burgers and I got a pulled Jerk chicken sandwich. The burgers looked delicious, and I loved the seasoning of the chicken: warning, it gets spicier as you go! The house cut fries were good as well. The sandwiches are huge! I saved half of mine for lunch the next day and it was plenty. As I said, the patio is really cute, really a friend's-backyard feel, and the patrons just add to that. I did notice at least one table that caters to smokers, but that's not enough to keep me away. Love this place! Oh, and there's a tiny stage on one side, but...it's 2020...sigh.

Off the radar little dive bar. Quiet end of the Bywater in Poland, who'd a thunk it? Delicious wings meaty juicy spicy yummy. Ditto fried chicken. Jambalaya tasty generous side. Right price. Excellent quality. No frills but clean quiet friendly place. Entertainment occasionally on the little stage out back. Staff are super duper efficient friendly competent. Special call out to kitchen lady who emerges to personally drop off delectables tableside. A national treasure, wotta great cook. This isn't fine dining, it's a dive bar ruff round the edges, nice quiet local customers enjoying the warm evening. Ceiling fans no air con, we like that too. Twas our pleasure dropping in to Bar Redux yesterday . Left happy and well nourished. Recommended for value and quality of food.

We've had a super long day driving in to New Orleans from Atlanta. We just walked back to our air bnb from bar redux. By the way, it has a big sign outside that just says bar. It also kinda just pops up on you. There seem to be a few dive bars in the area that all do the same, on dark roads and just kinda pop up suddenly. But! Luckily these places are all open super late so if you're looking to hang out someplace or eat, you found it! It's Friday night & it was pretty busy. This is the dive bar of dive bars. Very tiny. Very local, like pretty sure everyone knew each other inside. Ok so I still don't know for sure how you're supposed to do things.. no clear indication. Basically, we walked in and stood in the walkway for a few minutes until we saw an employee come through to ask for a menu. The bartenders were both busy talking to drunk people. We were told to order with Hannah so we went to get in what we thought was the line because someone was standing at the bar talking to the bartender but eventually I realized they were talking to themselves or maybe at the bartender? I don't know but Hannah noticed us and started to come out of the bar towards so we got to order our food & apparently one person takes food & one does drinks but she passed our drink order along. We got jambalaya(cup), creole wings (6)& gumbo(cup) + one whiskey & coke & a water for under $24. Great value! We went through a door to the dance area/dj/extra tables & this side is outdoors & half covered. I sat in the arms of a tree. Then I stood bc my chair slowly sank into the mud. We got our food & the wings are huge & the cups came with bread too. Plenty of food! The jambalaya was mildly spicy & really good. Wings were definitely worth it & I wouldnt order the gumbo again but it started to grow on me. It was kinda bitter? Not sure if that's normal but it tasted ok after awhile. It had a ton of meat inside.. maybe chicken and sausage? Dark outside so hard to tell. I'd do the wings & jambalaya again. Dj played jazz/r&b mostly and we were close so couldn't hear ourselves think but I think it was for the dancers. Cute place, worth a stop if you're within walking as parking is weird here. People just randomly park on the street, not sure if it's legal but it's mostly residential anyway.

    Outside seating... plenty available!

The menu had Jerk chicken, curry chicken, and brown stew chicken. I wish they would have listed the sides on the menu as well, so it wouldn't leave potential customers wondering what comes with the chicken. I planned to get the jerk chicken and my mom was going to get the brown stew chicken. My mother and I aren't eating rice right now, so we asked if we could get a plate without rice and peas and just double the veggies/ greens. He said he did not have enough veggies to do it for two plates. I said okay well if we get one plate can you do it on that one and he said ok. So instead of purchasing two plates we just purchased one jerk chicken plate. The chicken was good and the greens were flavorful. I wish there could've been another veggie offered like cabbage so I could've had cabbage and then greens, but overall I enjoyed the food. Only other tip besides adding the sides to the menu, is that I think they would've benefited from having another staff member. It was only one guy plating the food and taking the money/ orders. There was someone else who would come to refill the food but they didn't help serve.

I started with the pig ears and had the fried chicken as my entrée, while my colleague chose the vegetarian option. You can find pig ears in Honolulu, but not prepared in this culinary style -- it was a creative and flavorful starter. The fried chicken was perfectly juicy and well-seasoned, and the honey butter added a delightful balance of savory and tangy sweetness. The ambiance was classy yet calm, making it ideal for both conversation and a relaxed dining experience. We also enjoyed lemon drop martinis with dinner -- crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to our meals. The texture of the beans, crispy rice cake and egg white, and runny yolk were so harmonious with the welcome bite and spice of the jalapeño. I loved the flavor of my Hurricane Buster. It was strong, but balanced. Our servers were good. The water and table runners were especially warm!

I was really looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately the menu was so limited. No jerk boudin balls, no crawfish Etoufee, fried fish, no oxtails, no Mac and cheese, only 1 order of Brussels sprouts. Still decided to try what they had available. We were told that there would be a 45 min wait for Mac and cheese. Waited over an hour and a half on food and still no Mac and cheese. Service to and from the table was extremely slow! Brussels sprouts came out over cooked. Mushrooms were great! Cooked well still had texture and moisture. Delicious. Jerk chicken was okay. Nothing special really with the flavoring, was cooked well though. Plantains were really good and cooked well. Coco curry shrimp was bussin! Great flavoring and this shrimp was fried to perfection. Pretty spicy but that wasn't a problem for me. Best dish I tasted from the establishment. Lamb chops were good. They were small I think for the price honestly. But no complains about them. The service is what would keep me from coming back here. For it not to be packed I felt like they were way too slow. We spent 2 hours just sitting there waiting. As far as the ambiance is concerned it's NOLA don't expect white table cloth dining at a local spot.
