Was flying from Pennsylvania and there were few restaurants around . Flight was late and we decided to have a quick snack and drink. It wasn't that crowded but service was very lean . Wish they had more bartenders and helpers around . Service could be 100% better ! Food was ok. We had some snack and it tasted good .. it was expensive though. A simple snack is about 16-20$. Bluemoon was good. They had some decent beers on tap. Average experience .. 3 stars ..

Quick breakfast before a flight. Two egg n cheese wraps and two ice teas ($35). Service good. Food tasty. Typically expensive at an airport. Serves the purpose and close to our gate.

    Pierogies and sausage

Well! First things first! I love all places celebrity chef and food network. I've had drinks with a coworker and now a meal by myself at this place and in the hustle of travel didn't realize the name of where I was! So cool! On my way home this time, I was hungry (a little bit) so I ordered the pierogies and sausage appetizer. It was absolutely delicious - just what I hoped it would be. And the mustard dipping sauce and sautéed onions just made it all the more perfect. Highly recommend!

    Rosemary fries?

Disappointing.... Waited to be seated, no one in sight. Server comes over enters something into the POS in front of me, but never acknowledges me. Using the kiosk I order rosemary fries. $9.50 ? While waiting a women picks up her order who has been waiting 20 minutes she said and about to miss her flight. I get the fries 10 or so minutes later and surprise, barely warm fries with grated Parmesan and a dash of rosemary, neither appeared fresh. The only thing I can say is the portion was for the table and not a single normal size person. Overall unimpressive , but it's airport food which is usually overpriced and crap quality. This was both.

Pub burger with bacon and Parmesan fries

During a long flight delay I decided to give Bar Symon a try. Service was fast and friendly which is always appreciated when at the airport. I ordered the pub burger and added bacon. I also upgraded the chips to Parmesan fries. There has to be at least 5 slices of bacon on my burger and it was delicious. The parm fries had the perfect amount of cheese and seasoning. Bar symon has plenty of power outlets to charge your devices while eating. Another great addition for any airport location. I'm mad at myself that it took me so long to give them a try after all the times I've been to Philadelphia airport.

Me, happy because I didn't lose my lap top

If I could give this restaurant 1000 stars I would. I didn't even eat at this restaurant, but I can assure you the staff will take very good care of you. I had the most amazing experience Dwayne. He's an amazing human being! I left my lap top near the restaurant and he collected for me, kept it safe until he could hunt me down in the airport to find me so he could return it to me! That was a miracle! He is a miracle! Words can't describe how grateful I am for this!

    An excellent pre-flight martini.

The service was attentive and personalized. I ordered a Bombay Sapphire martini, and the bartender came to my table to ensure I got what I wanted ("up or dirty? olives or a twist?"). My server checked in every 10 minutes or so and my food arrived quickly. My sandwich (the Rachel) was hot and crisp--the cheese melty and the slaw cool and sweet. And the homemade potato chips were warm, crunchy, and salty--a welcome surprise. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the prices. Other reviews mention a 9 oz pour of wine for $17--that's $8.50 a serving, which is pretty standard, even outside of an airport. My perfectly made martini was $19, but I've paid $30 for the same drink at other airports (in Jackson, Mississippi, no less) with warm gin and substandard olives. I travel frequently for work, so I've eaten my share of meals in many an airport. Bar Symon--service, food, and atmosphere--is among the best.

Pricey and mediocre, but survives out of necessity because it is the only option in the Delta terminal near the gates. Service isn't the worst - usually is better at the bar. The servers have all been friendly but not always very attentive. Food wise, while a little pricey it isn't that bad. I've had a good experience with almost every food item I've ordered compared to some other airport restaurants, but it certainly isn't anything special. My go to's are the fries, pirogies (surprisingly good) or the basic grilled cheese. My main issue is with the prices. I'd love to have some pre-flight wine, but a 9 oz pour was $17 a glass. They can get away with it, but just not worth it!

Was sat down by hostess, waited for 10 min, waitress kept passing me to wait on others. I waved her down and said you sat me down over 10 min ago and then waited on several other people that were sat down after me. She said well what do you want. I said at this time nothing, how about an apology. She repeated what do you want. Worse service. Think twice. I left without ordering.

Good burger, great fries, good beer, and a very nice waitress (Michelle). Also they have a nice variety of beers on tap! My only disappointment is actually more with my trip as a whole. Three days in Philadelphia. Three different cheesesteaks at three different places. The best one was here at the airport as I'm about to leave... Meat was juicy, seasoned, and onions were caramelized. Very nice sandwich!

Mild chicken wings!! I had a lot more wings but they didn't make the photo. So good!

The food was good but not great considering the price. If you're paying $20+ for a sandwich, fries shouldn't be extra

This was a really great spot. My coworker and I were over in North Jersey for work but flew in and out of PHL rather than facing Newark. In order to beat the crazy construction traffic outside of Philly and to have a buffer for whatever TSA nightmare we were going to face, we got back near the airport early... like 4 1/2 hours before our flight kind of early. I wanted breakfast outside of the airport so I found this spot while he was refilling the rental car. I got the French toast with homefries. The french toast was perfect, with just a tiny bit of crisp in spot from the griddle. Same with the homefries. I would have liked a bit more seasoning while they were cooking, but a bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. My coworker got the big breakfast but subbed out the homefries for corned beef hash. While I'm not a fan of corned beef hash, it looked exactly like how my mom and grandfather like it, with a little bit of crisp to it. The pancake was huge and he said his over medium eggs were cooked exactly like he hoped they would be. Now I just need to plan out my flights so I can come get breakfast here again and try one of the sandwiches, or omelettes, or maybe get French toast again...

This rave review applies to all their locations except the airport as we've never eaten there. It's a great concept beautifully executed: take a diner, improve the food with better ingredients and more variety, serve big portions at very reasonable prices and you've got the Sabrina's idea. In the past 25 years or so, I don't remember ever getting anything here that wasn't good and many items are just delicious. Breakfasts are wonderful with lots of options and the sandwiches and platters are amazing. Plus, there's something for everyone from kids to elders. Be prepared to take some of your order home. Service is quick and friendly. I hope you like tattoos. We held my 60th birthday party at the old Christian St location. That's how much we love this place. The Mel's Chicken sandwich? Nothing like it. And you can get potato, sweet potato, or POLENTA fries! Great coffee. The South Street location has a bar. Breakfast and lunch ONLY. VERY busy for weekend brunch. Expect to wait.

The seasoning was strange with cinnamon overtones that have no business dominating in blackened spices. And overcooked.
