We like the bean dip accompanying the chips and salsa. We ordered the table side guacamole 5/5 (unfortunately we ran out of chips and couldn't get more see aforementioned sluggish periods), chicken fajitas 4/5, and bone marrow 4/5. The flour tortillas were a bit disappointing considering they were be made fresh at the entrance 3/5.

The ambiance is attractive and we were immediately greeted and seated upon our arrival. There is a private lot. I started with an exotic drink with mezcal and fresh blackberries since this is blackberry country. I forget the name but it is on the picture. It was delicious. The wife had Passion Fruit and it was also delicious. For entrees, the wife had chicken mole and did not care for it. The chicken was bone-in which is normally fine, but she did not care for this chicken. The mole was very spicy. There is a difference between flavorful with a kick or slow burn, but this was overtly spicy. She did not eat much and did not take it home. I had an exotic dish which I don't remember the name but it was essentially a chicken stew served in mortar bowl. Rice and black beans came on the side, but I added them to the stew to make it thicker. It was delicious. Very flavorful with a slow burn. If the review were based on this dish alone, it would be 5 stars. Our server was attentive and helpful. I liked the vibe and food more than the wife did, We are in Poulsbo only a couple of days so we probably won't return, but if we were here longer I would lobby for a return.

The restaurant itself is pretty interesting inside with graffiti type art on the walls and bright vibrant booths. I ordered 6 street tacos, 2 chicken, 2 chorizo, and two ground beef. All were incredibly delicious. I had the habanero hot sauce (which is a 4 out of 5 for them) on all proteins. Its SUPER good. Just the right amount of heat for me, but probably not for folks who are sensitive to hot foods. Had the Chile de Arbol on the chicken, and it went really nicely with that. Last I put some Chipotle on a ground beef taco, and while it wasn't my favorite, it still added a nice smokey flavor and mild spice. Overall, a very positive experience and a place I will certainly be back to!

I asked to place an order to go and the guy went in the back and asked whoever was there and came back and said no. His reason was because it was a slow day and "didn't feel like making more food". Never experienced anything like this before. You want great tacos and birria? Go to Jessicas Taqueria in Silverdale. Her business hours are legitimate and won't refuse service because of laziness. My husband and I came here last evening craving for some tacos. Growing up in the bay area in Cali, tacos are a huge hit and I can definitely say a small place like this in Washington really did their thing. Tacos were good. The birria tacos were okay but definitely were a little dry and definitely could've had more meat and cheese. The consomme was very bland so dipping the birria tacos in it didn't really make the tacos taste any better. Burrito was okay however, it was very flat. Flavor was definitely there and was really tasty. I just wish there were more ingredients added. Honestly it felt like I was eating a quesadilla rather than a burrito. My husband had cocktail which he liked very much and I had horchata. Horchata was good but a tad bit grainy. Our server was very nice! Service definitely was great. We were served our food very fast and even then the food was HOT! This spot is very compact and intimate. Would not recommend for larger parties 4+. All in all tacos were the star of the show. Would return just for the tacos only and horchata.

Individuals behind me were taken first because they had to go orders. The menu does not reflect actual food prices. The rice and beans is shown as $7.25 but they charge $7.30. The chips and salsa show up as 4.13 but are charged as $4.25. There is a taco plate (which is what I ordered) on the menu for $12.43, but the very official printer paper taped in front of the register shows $12.99 (which is the actual charge). The menus are on tvs, so I wouldnt imagine it would be that difficult to update. The amounts aren't substantially different, but it's a little deceptive. It took 11 minutes for my order to be ready, which is pretty fast given the amount of customers they had. The rice and beans tasted like they came from the same supplier as many other. restaurants, they're fine but unremarkable. The chips were pretty tasty, but the salsa seemed quite watery. The tacos themselves were ok. Nothing special. The chicken tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all. The red sauce for the tacos had zero spice. The habanero sauce tasted almost the same as the red sauce. The most spicy thing that came with the tacos was the grilled jalapeño, but that and the grilled onions just seemed weird and out of place. Think I will find a new taco place when I visit Poulsbo.

There…read moreare a few quirky areas of improvement that could make it even more enjoyable, such as pricing being clear and consistent with what's on the board v. what you get charged, but I'm willing to put all aside for some awesome tacos. Not sure what other people ordered to encounter "no flavor," but we spend a lot of time in CA and these have as much flavor as our go-to spots when visiting. I am normally weary of ordering chicken since places usually overcook it and it's dry, but that has only happened one time out of a number of visits. Out of the shrimp, steak, and asada that I've tried, the chicken and shrimp are our favorite! If you order the taco plate (4 tacos) you can mix-n-match what kind of meat you want. We find they have plenty of flavor. The chicken enchilada plate with rice and beans is also consistently good. Not sure why ordering 2 tacos with rice and beans costed noticeably more than the 4 taco plate, but it did so I don't do that anymore. The chips and salsa were just okay so we don't normally order that anymore. The horchata is awesome! We get this everytime. Parking: minimal spaces located next to a liquor store, but we always seem to find a spot when we stop by for dinner.
