I'm guilty! Why is it we forgot to mention and review the places that we frequent? I hope that this review makes up for my oversight. Let's make sure that we are all on the same page. This is a 4star fast food restaurant! It is not a 4star fine dining establishment. This is our go to Mexican restaurant for lunch. We've been coming here nearly every weekend at least once a weekend for lunch since they took over from KFC! Years ago. Why? Simply; it's simple food in a clean and comfortable environment! We don't do takeout. We enjoy the service and interaction with local folks serving local Mexican food. They earned our patronage early on and continue to do so weekly. read more

I've only been here once while visiting family in Poulsbo and I was definitely happy with my carne asada burrito. So happy I forgot to take a photo before digging into it!!! My brothers love their Taco Tuesdays too and if their tacos are as good as their burritos I'm sold! Not sure why this place only gets a 3 star rating. It is in an old Del taco or Taco Bell building so nothing fancy but the food is good. We ended up enjoying our burritos down by the water so it was a perfect lunch. read more

My daughter and I went here tonight to get dinner. We ordered one food item each and my daughter ordered a large ice water. When we looked at the receipt, they charged us $1.99 for "Bottled Water". I asked about the charge and they said they charge for large water. I might have been okay with this if they had told me there would be a charge, but they made no mention of it when they took my order. We've been to this establishment many times and have been happy until now and I don't think they will be our first choice going forward. I went there for lunch on Easter, 2026. There was a rude Mexican man who waited on me inside. He had a heavy accent, and was hard to understand. He asked me something after my order, and I couldn't understand what he was saying, so I asked him to repeat it. He got all angry and yelled "Hot Sauce" and accidentally spit on me! **Terrible Experience - We Won't Be Back** Zero Stars! Sadly, the service here has really gone downhill. We picked up food to go today, only to get home and realize part of the order was missing. When we went back to get it corrected, instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, the staff actually accused us of lying. We've been loyal customers, coming almost every week, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. All over a small mistake that could've easily been resolved--what a petty and disrespectful way to treat regular customers. We won't be returning. read more

The main thing this place has going for it is the drive-thru and the taco Tuesday specials. I thought the food was acceptable but not spectacular. I get it though, they are making food that appeals to the white folks of Poulsbo and I am more use to spice and flavor from my Mexican down in Phoenix and San Diego. read more

Tasty carne asada burritos, delicious salsas at their salsa bar (¡zanahorias!) and a super friendly staff. Quick service to boot. The only downside is the station choices on the giant televisions in the dining area. Not awesome. Good thing they've got take out AND a drive-thru. read more

The food is solid, especially for the area. Their salsa verde is better than any other taqueria in Kitsap. The burritos are good, the plates are ok, but the mulitas are great. The restaurant itself is clean as are the restrooms. I would 100% give Aceituno's an extra star, but their ability to add everything you pay for to the bag is lacking most of the time. It also doesn't matter if you use the app or not. read more

I ordered a lengua burrito and lengua tacos. they were inedible because a lot of the pieces of lengua still had the skin on them and I had to spit it our. The burrito was way too salty and whoever wrapped it must have done it with one arm. So loose, the filling couldn't stay in. I will never order from this restaurant again. read more

We were looking forward to them opening, we love their location in Bremerton. The first 2 times we ate here, the food was not great. (Meals incomplete or just wrong, but we were hopeful that they were just opening and would sort it all out) We waited a couple of months and gave them one last try. On our final visit, I got to-go,the carnitas plate tasted as if someone had accidentally put some type of dish soap in them(They use a lot of lemony cleaner on their floors, and that is the taste that was permeating the meat). We were concerned enough to drive back and try to speak with a manager. We contemplated going to the doctor because of worry over some type of chemical that was in the meet. They took my phone number and offered no solution. I was told that a manager would call me. So far no call. We suffered no ill effects from the meet but I would caution others before giving this location a try. I do highly recommend their other locations, we will be driving to their Bremerton location if we want delicious Mexican food. read more

When I was ready to order, the cashier was more interested in counting money instead of taking my order. She actually started counting after I had already walked up to the counter. I read some of the reviews about this place and I guess there is one in Bremerton that's really good however these reviews may be a year old. Some friends and I went here the other day as we were running errands over in Kitsap county. And we went in and it was overpriced and horrible. I was surprised at a combination lunch was $14 for a fast food style type of restaurant. I have to say in all honesty that this was a learning experience. I know prices have gone up. But considering that this is also a drive-thru and no one had to seat us and the person had to take like four steps from where they were processing the food and writing the ticket without gloves and then delivering it to the counter and handling money and credit cards without gloves that it was way overpriced. I would have preferred going to Taco Bell instead because I know that food is going to at least be halfway decent and it would be hot. Our order was taken quickly because there was no one else in the place. And we waited probably 10 minutes while our food was reheated. We were truly disappointed. This is not a sit down type of restaurant where you go to relax and get waited on and leave a good tip for the server. This is I'm going to a fast food overpriced Mexican restaurant I'm going to have to get my food serve to me in an aluminum pie tin or doggy bag and that's it. I got a combination with a burrito and a taco mixed up with some really cold rice and a whole lot of beans. There were more beans and rice then burrito and taco which were very small proportions. And one of my friends pointed out to me before I started to eat my food with a plastic knife and fork that there was a bug on my food. That tells me that they probably should clean their kitchen because there might be some spoiled food and something isn't right back there... Eater Beware!!!!!! Maybe when this place because it is a chain type of restaurant first came out the food was great but it was between 12:00 and 1:00 which is a pretty busy lunch time and we were a small group and there was a lot of room very many empty tables. So while I had to give them a star I would have preferred no star. With price is being very high I understand they have to pay more for their food... But I do prefer my food to be hot not oh this didn't work in the microwave long enough so just put it in there for a few more minutes. And I prefer there be no insects on my food. Came in @ 8:45 to order food on a Friday night (after working a 12 hour shift). I have been to this location previously 5-6 times and always have been satisfied with the food and service. The person pretended not to see me waiting at the counter for 5 minutes while she was busy wrapping her containers.
