    Pupusa, chicken, garlic, poblano... Fantastic!

The food was amazing! It was a clean restaurant. Service was wonderful, very family oriented place. Was just wonderful food. We enjoyed the garlic pupusa and the Rajas... super yummy. Also, the Jamaica tea was fantastic!

3 pupusa revueltas and 2 tacos adobadas

We were looking for another pupuseria that was a bit closer than our current favorite, but this place is quite a disappointment. My wife ordered 2 lengua tacos and 2 tripa tacos and 1 pupusa revuelta. I ordered the pupusa revuelta combo (comes with 3 pupusas and curtido) and also got 2 tacos adobadas and horchata. My adobada tacos were probably the worst I've ever had. The meat didn't taste marinated at all and was extremely burnt. My wife's tacos were not the worst we've ever had, but they were still quite bland. As far as pupusas go they were just ok. It was also very frustrating that the lady told me we were getting the pupusas revueltas with pork meat and we got chicken instead. The curtido tasted ok but had a weird color to it like maybe the ingredients weren't all that fresh. Overall, if you need to satisfy a pupusa craving and you live close by, this place might just barely be adequate. But I wouldn't come for the taqueria because their tacos are mediocre.

A local go-to for great food and service. Their Típico Plates and Chicken Tortilla Soup are perfect for chilly days.

Amazing food and service. My partner is Salvadoran and absolutely loved the putaco and fried yucca plate - he said this is the best Salvadoran food he has had in a while. I got a burrito that was delicious too. The people who worked there were also so sweet and it felt like a cozy family establishment. Highly recommend this spot!!!

Two pupusas combo and Boing mango drink.

Two pupusas combo and Boing mango drink. Highly Recommended. 2 Pupusas combo. Pupusas are corn Patty filled with your choice of meat, beans, or cheese. With Salvadoran rice & beans and pickled cabbage topping. The Boing mango pulp drink is a must. This is the only place I have seen carry this in WA. The food was delicious, the space was spotless, and the customer service was amicable. I'll be making this a favorite stop. They have a great menu, and I'm excited to dig into the quesa-birrias (lamb brisket with cheese and dip) next time.

This is Shrimp soup I ordered. It's delicious.

Very good and traditional food. It's very fresh and delicious. I go here often. If you like good Mexican food try it out. I'll compare it to Pho T&N but the Mexican food version.

Carnitas tacos (except the one I couldn't wait to eat.)

Popped into this hole-in-the-wall taqueria/papuseria for a late lunch of carnitas tacos and horchata. Very glad I did. Good food, notably inexpensive. Can't wait to come back and try the papusas.

Make the drive to El balcon in bremerton please. The pupusas are much better and they don't skimp on the cabbage.

This is the best burrito in all of Tacoma/Lakewood!!! I tell everyone to try them. People don't know what they are missing, because they are just getting pupusas. Who would think they would have great burritos. So, these are not like any other burritos, because they are not Mexican. They use their delicious black beans, their white rice with a few little veg, sour cream, onions, cilantro, you can get really good chile sauce if you want it spicy. The sauce is so good. No cheese... can you believe it? Cheese is not even needed. You can get chicken or carne asada, or like we got, no meat and they will add avocado slices. I really wanted no meat, and platano frito added. This is what we used to get, and it's great. They should add a no meat option to the menu, and also the platano option. Everyone that loves unique delicious burritos, come check this place out. The guy that took my order was friendly, and even made our burrito half no cilantro. Thanks! They get busy.

I ordered to-go, and I am genuinely surprised that they do not have more condiments available, especially with the salsa as I got 4 pupusas. No wet wipe, which may be asking for a lot, but at least make it up with the paper napkins. I love that it is near base, but u might as well order to eat-in the restaurant. That way u get all that u need. Better inspection on my end could have been done, but just :o at the...stinginess. That sounds like a harsh word, I know, but how else do I describe it...?

We opted for the drink as we were heading to a friend's for dinner. I got the ensalada while my boyfriend got the horchata and I appreciated how the cashier asked if we wanted ice or not. We also saw some cute Halloween decorated conchas and saw that for four of them was 9.95 so got that to share with our friends. The conchas were delicious and not too sweet. There was plenty of parking near the location. When you enter, you see the restaurant half which is a lovely, cozy space that can seat many customers of all party sizes. They have a section for napkins, utensils and to go boxes too. If you go to the left, that is the bakery as well as small store of different goodies. They had all types of pastries, cakes, and snacks that you can choose from. The prices seem fair. When we entered the bakery side, the employees welcomed us and told us to let them know if we have any questions. Very friendly and quick service! We definitely want to come back to try their pastries, cakes, and food again. They also do have a point system that you can sign up for to get discounts and even a birthday reward too.

You can order cakes 2 days before hand but they also had plenty of ready to go cakes available when we came that day. They had big and small cakes in all different flavors. However, they specialize in different versions of their tres leches cakes, including their popular mango one. Before I tell you about the cake we got, I have to mention one of their coconut cream filled puff pastries I got there. It was easily one of the best freakin thing I had in Seattle. I don't even remember what it was called but it was a large sugar coated flaky puff pastry sandwich that had the best coconut house made whip cream inside. It was insanely good and you need to get it if they have it. Delicious! As for our cake, we went with a small 6 inch Piña Colada tres leche cake ($50). We were a little disappointed the guy behind the counter didn't speak English so it made it difficult to tell him what we wanted. We honestly would have ordered much more items if we were able to communicate. It was also a little disappointing that during our short smooth drive back to our hotel that two of the decorative cherries on the cake had fallen off. Not a big deal since I popped them back on but I didn't feel like that was something I had to do. Everyone we shared the cake with enjoyed it. It was very moist and definitely on the sweet side. It was two layers and the pineapple flavor wasn't overwhelming. The small cake was perfect to share with about 10 people. I did think the cake pricing is a little high but not too bad. Besides their full bakery they are also have a full dining menu and places to sit in the restaurant. They offer all sorts of Salvadoran foods. But like I mentioned communicating in English was difficult with the man there so we didn't order. Although I want to try their empanadas. Parking here was also easy since they have their own lot.
