Ted continues to service my 20+ year-old Fire Magic Grill. With the cost of new grills these days, I feel it pays to keep an older grill working and in great condition. When Ted returns my grill, it looks almost like new. He usually picks the grill up on Monday and returns it on Friday. That way, I only lose it for a week and that's great. The price is somewhat high, but over the years it's been worth it to me. I have only written a handful of reviews but felt compelled to write a review following our awful experience with BR911 and my husbands (Peter L) previous review. I have personally cleaned our barbecue stainless steel cabinet doors and drawers since they were purchased 5 years ago. They had no scratches at all. After returning from work, my husband suggested I look at the job Barbecue Rescue 911 did. I came inside and told my husband I was shocked, as he was. Actually shocked. There were scratches and grease smudges on all of the stainless steel doors and drawers. There was grease on the grill handle, grease and grime on the grill hinges and the drip pan hadn't been cleaned at all. They had left a Brillo pad on the floor, which probably explains all the scratches in the drawer and door fronts. Who uses a Brillo pad on stainless steel drawers and doors?!?! After my husband called to complain and they returned three days later (you can read his review (Peter L) of what he experienced with the owner. When he was on the speakerphone selling the job, acted like our best friend and said he does all the cleaning himself. As it turned out, the best friend "bit" was an act and him cleaning himself, that turned out to be a lie. I overheard the conversation when he returned to deal with our complaints. I was equally as shocked by the owners defensive words and tone while accepting no responsibility. Argumentative, defensive, rude and he denied everything. Before he even examine his employees work, he said that we didn't know the difference between smudges and scratches. Later, him and his assistant spent over an hour removing the smudges and trying to remove the scratches. The scratches remain. On the owners way out, I heard him snidely tell my husband, "I sent my least experienced employee especially for you." No respect for his customer after he gets paid. Customer satisfaction obviously means nothing to him. I also had to clean the tall tile backsplash and countertop behind and around the grill after they left. They left some yellow greasy liquid all over it, (See photos) and it took me an hour to clean off their mess, after they cleaned for the second time. This was the absolute worst result and experience we've had in any of the numerous services we've used over the last 10 years at this house. A horrible result by a disrespectful and dishonest owner. The name of the company should be Barbecue Disaster 911. You've been warned. read more

The after photos say it all...almost. Do NOT hire this company. Ted, the owner, represented that he does all the cleaning personally. That representation turned out to be false. I have cameras on my property, and after confronting him about the horrible job someone from his company, other than him, had done, he admitted that he sent over an employee with just one month experience because he "was busy." When his employees finished the job without him being present and without his supervision, I called to say that when I had returned later that day and had a chance to inspect it, I was very dissatisfied with their work. I sent him the pictures attached here. Grease, smudges and even worse, the stainless steel cabinet and drawers were scratched. Sloppily, they left a Brillo pad laying on the ground (photo attached) which likely accounts for the scratched stainless steel. When he came to try to resolve the problems, he was rude, argumentative and refused to admit anything at all. Before he came to address my issues, my wife cleaned off the smudges on one of the doors hoping to be able to remove the scratches but the scratches remained as you can see in the photo of her cleaned door and circled scratches. I showed Ted but he refused to accept that there were any scratches at all. When I told him I had hoped to resolve the problems, and pointed out that short of a resolve, I'd have no choice but to resolve it in small claims court, he got even more belligerent and (likely realizing he had liability ) now claimed that he was not the owner and threatened to leave saying, "I'll leave now and you can do whatever you want." He must have finally accepted that their work was not acceptable because him and his partner spent the next hour cleaning the grease and smudging and were on their knees attempting to remove the scratches on the two drawers and propane door. It was 9 am when he came and tried to deny that there was any problem because he couldn't see the scratches but I pointed out, 4 times, that when the sunlight hits the area at about 3 in the afternoon, you could see the scratched stainless steel very clearly and I showed him photos evidencing that lighting changes and told him he was welcome to come back in the afternoon and look at it all after he was done. He said he was not wasting his time driving back to inspect it in the direct sunlight. In summary, his representations of non ownership and personally doing the work were false, he laughed on his way out and actually said, and I quote, "I sent my least experienced guy especially for you." Unfortunately, the gentleman who cleaned our grill for years and whose result was 100% better, because he took pride in his work, had retired. He charged $140 less. A truly unpleasant experience although his assistant acted like a professional and apologized for Ted's attitude and the unacceptable job they had done. I would not consider ever using Barbecue Rescue 911 again. read more

I have an 11 year old grill that i periodically tried to clean with a power washer. It didn't get the job done and the grill was all caked up. Ted came in on Monday explained what wasn't working properly and the need to have it done professionally. He took the grill on Monday and I had it back on Friday looking like it did 11 years ago. Have a 15+ year old built in Turbo grill that has gotten heavy use over it's lifespan. When flames started creeping out of the front right and left corner, I was pretty sure I'd have to replace it. A new Turbo with similar features is somewhere between $1700 and $2500, so thought I'd see if mine could be fixed. Contacted a couple of companies with good ratings on Yelp and decided to use BBQ Rescue 911. Man am I glad I did! Ted picked up the grill and brought it back to his shop to give it a complete refurbishing. They replaced faulty valves, the ceramic briquettes, the broken thermometer and did an incredible job on the grill grates and hood. Bottom line, got the grill back in 8 days looking almost as good as the day I bought it those many years ago. Seriously, if you have a decent quality old grill that's in need of some love, these are the guys to call! PS - his service isn't cheap, but compared to replacement, this is a no brainer! read more

Ted at Barbeque Rescue 911 did an incredible job for me at a fair price. I originally called because my igniter wasn't sparking, and Barbeque Rescue 911 came out to assess my issue. After a thorough inspection, I learned why my 18 year old grill was not performing as it should. In addition to addressing my igniter issue, Ted also replaced burner parts that were old, corroded and broken. Beyond that, he delivered the most complete cleaning the grill has ever received. This place is all around amazing! From the first phone call for setting up an appointment to the messages to let me know they were on their way! The team showed up exactly on time and the set up was very organized and they were on their way to start cleaning! Excellent work overall.. I have a 20 year old, barely used, Beefeater grill. I wanted it inspected to be sure it could be used safely. Ted came out in just a couple of days for the inspection, evaluated the issues and quoted me a price for repair, restoration and reinstallation of my grill, a drop-in side-burner and light. He came back a few days later a few days later (Monday) to take the grill away and returned it 5 days later on the Friday. The rusty gas jets and been completely cleaned, all the accumulated dust and grime and been removed and even the faded knobs had been restored! In all, it looks like I have a brand-new grill. My grill is 20 years old. I didn't know if it could be restored or if it needed to be replaced. I contacted Ted. He assured me he could return my grill to near new condition, which he did, but not without some issues. Some of the ignitors were not working after the grill was returned. Ted was gracious and made multiple trips to my house to fix the problem. All issues with the grill were fixed and the grill looks amazing and works great.
