Called to make an appointment. Told the woman I had a 4 burner built in gas grill. She said "what make". Since I bought the house with the grill and since I was out of town at the time, I couldn't tell her the brand. This company is owned and managed by one of the most rude, disrespectful, mean and vile people I have ever met in my entire life. The owner, Sandy is beyond rude to both her customers and employees, with constant belittling and demeaning of staff, it is no surprise that this place has had an astonishing turnover of office personnel. The icing on the cake this year was when returning from a 4 to 5 week European vacation, she decided to inform the staff that due to inflation, they would not be receiving their annual bonuses. My barbeque has been broken for months since I requested Barbeque. Doctor to repair it. Some time back their last repairman said it needed a new regulator since the last one they installed was defective. He also told me that he had a new igniter.Module which the built in barbeques needed but that he would install it at the same time as he replaces the defective regulator. Now further time passes and he comes back with the new regulator without the igniter module which he said he previously had. Now after waiting and waiting they advise me they still do not have the igniter module. This appears to be one of the worst run companies that I have ever run into. I rarely ever leave negative feedback but dealing with Barbeque Doctor is like having a bad nightmare. Needless to say after all this long time the barbeque is still not repaired and I just advised them that I will have another repair company make the repair. Be advised. read more

BBQ Doctors are awesome! I live in a HOA community were our community grills take a serious beating. Last year we (the board of directors) "thought" we would have to replace the grills due to years of neglect and abuse. We contacted the BBQ Doctors to evaluate our grills to see if there was any hope in saving the grills and avoiding replacement. They came out, assessed the situation and let us know that they were able to help. They cleaned the units inside and out and replaced the coals. The units looked and worked like new. We have them come out time to time to repair the damage caused by users, and they always do a great job, Myrian in scheduling is always pleasant and efficient. I had some questions about the community supply lines and recent upgrades they made to our grills, and was sincerely impressed that the owner Jim followed up with me. He later stopped by in person to ensure we were happy, understood the how the gas lines supplied fuel to the grills and how to "correctly" operate the grill features. I appreciate the "old school" approach to customer service; rarely do companies follow up to ensure customers are happy these days... Jim really made us feel special ... Our gas barbque got knocked over in the monsoons, and was damaged with all or the internal parts scattered around. Made an appointment with Barbecue Doctor, to get an estimate to see if it was worth saving. Kelly showed up on time, carefully examined the unit, and asked if we would like him to fix it NOW. He removed various parts, examined them, cleaned and adjusted them, checked for gas leakes, adjusted the burners. Straightened out some of the bent areas. All at a reasonable price. Got a call from Sandy saying they "dont do tiling", they're "not tilers", and they "dont do fireplace service", thats "not what they do". We bought our house a few years ago and the 14 year old Turbo grill looked like it was on its last legs. The BBQ (because I'm not typing out the full name) Doctor just cleaned our Weber grill and did a great job. The grill is about three years old and I have never cleaned it (it's a super messy job and since the grill was working fine, I got lazy). We use it several times per week and do not use a grill cover so it was pretty dirty. The gentleman who came to clean the grill was honest, pleasant, and respectful. We told him we wanted the 'full cleaning' including the hood and he accurately estimated the time and expense. Note that this is not a 'cheap' service. By way of example, our total bill was about $275. While some of the reviews suggest that their grills look brand new after the cleaning, I suspect this is a bit of an exaggeration. While our grill looks 1000% better than it did before the cleaning, it's not perfect. By way of example, the doors on the cart were cleaned but still showed spotting (super nitpick and do not let that stop you from using them). Similarly, there were a few spots on the side shelves that were not super clean. More importantly, the internals of the grill were professionally cleaned. I watched him scrape the gunk off the base and clean the hood. He really put some elbow grease into the effort. He also cleaned all of the burners so that they light even easier than before (it's a Weber so they always light pretty fast). Even better, the grill grates look great. I never thought they'd look like stainless steal again but they do. I only give five stars when I can't find a single thing to criticize and I try to remain true to that standard. BBQ Doctor really deserves 4.5 stars but you can't do that on Yelp. I've cleaned other grills before and I could never get them to look as good as the BBQ Doctor did. If you go into this with a reasonable expectation that your grill will look clean and work perfectly after their service, it's worth every penny. read more

I contracted with Barbecue Doctor to clean my Bull brand barbecue grill several years ago. Their technician did a great job. I was very pleased with their service at that time. I recently tried to contact Barbecue Doctor to clean my grill again. They finally contacted me by telephone, perhaps a week after I requested information on their services. I spoke with a woman named "Sandy". The wait time she quoted me was two weeks out. She quoted me a price that was $100 more than another barbeque grill cleaning service. I explained to her that I had already contracted with BBQ grill cleaners of Scottsdale, owner's name Lou, who is a great guy, too, so I wouldn't be needing the services of Barbecue Doctor at the present time. Lou arranged to clean my grill within a week of my contacting him. He also responded at once to my request for service. Cheaper, faster, why would I contract with Barbecue Doctor when Lou with BBQ grill cleaners of Scottsdale gives me better service at a better price? And, to think I would have been a repeat customer with Barbecue Doctors! Postscript: The owner of Barbecue Doctor responded to my review above by accusing me of "browbeating" his secretary into giving me someone else's appointment or, as he put it, "bumping" their appointment to make room for me. That is complete b.s.! His secretary called me three times trying to schedule an appointment at a price $100 higher than the arrangement I had already made with BBQ Grill Cleaners of Scottdale. I told Sandy, the secretary at Barbecue Doctor, that I had already arranged with another company to have my grill cleaned. "Browbeat" her, my a-s-s. They did a decent job cleaning my grill a few years ago. I called to get a ballpark on fixing some igniters. They refused. Said I had to pay an $85 estimate fee (creditable). BBQ Doctors are exceptional. Second time using in two years. Take care of expensive equipment and it will last a lifetime. Our tech made my outdoor grill SPARKLE and SHINE ALMOST LIKE NEW. This is a 20 year old Viking that is well and often used. He cleaned the rotisserie and smoker box as well. I am again amazed that any human can remove the layers of dark from this grill. Scheduled a 7:00AM appointment the technician showed up on time and was very professional and polite. I just purchased a home which came with one of those pre-fab cook centers. I wasn't sure if it worked or not so I called the bbq doctor. The technician was very knowledgeable about the cook center and assured me that he could get it up and running and make it look and run like new. He did not disappoint he repaired it, cleaned it up and got it running like it was brand new also repaired the gas line. It was in awful shape, rusted, and I was going to toss it. The previous owner just did not take care of it.
