This spot is pretty new still and I'm sure they are still working on getting things more "together" but for what it is, it's a fun spot with some old school games. I feel like this would be a fun little date night spot. You can grab a drink, play some games, eat a little something and just kinda chill at a place that's as laid back as their regulars. The drinks are a lil pricey, or at least I felt like they were, but I also feel like you can kinda expect this from a newer trendy spot like this. I like this bar even more when it's not busy busy. The space is actually quite large. I love to come and waste my time playing on their pinball machines. I also feel like once they've kinda gotten used to things and have settled in a bit more, this place will be even more awesome. The folks who work here are all real dope. I hope more and more people will give this shot a place. As far as parking goes, good luck. I parked a ways away but I was strolling through the area anyway. So, this was a fun and unexpected pit stop the first time around. If you're planning on strolling through the area, I'd suggest you take as few cars as possible and carpool. Concept is amazing these kids did it right the food is laqua had the short rib fries n the Mac n cheese both were to die for my mouth is watering to thinking about it lol but I really feel the staff could be a little nicer ...the bar tender was a dick at first but then was a little nicer perhaps he was overwhelmed it was very busy but still got bar side when we arrived food came out quick ! Super fun place! Tons of fun classic games to play, a large space, the food is good, and the staff is super friendly! Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because the games are a bit pricier to play than other arcade bars around town. Places like EightyTwo in DTLA on average charge 1 token per game, while this location on average charges two and the pinball machines are for some reason 3. Seems like a small issue to lose a star for, but if you're there to play a bunch of games, the amount you're spending adds up. Especially when other places in the city have the exact same games that are cheaper to play. Other than that, the place is awesome! read more

My family and I love Barcade! We love the vintage video games, delicious food, and they have Happy Hour from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Everyone who works there is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Tyler is one of the coolest bartenders that work there. read more

This is a great place for those who love arcade. There were many selections of games to play. My best friend and I came here on a Wednesday night. There were a lot of people but it wasn't that packed. Nice place to chill and just have fun with friends. Although parking is limited, we were able to find one on the streets. I've been trying to get my friends to come to this place that opened not so long ago. Finally went last night.. it's a pretty cool place for adults that love to play video games and have a few drinks.. DRINKS!! Their DRINKS SUCK!! the food was basic. I had two drinks and they just had no flavor. All I can taste was the alcohol. Weather I ordered a Lava Man or give me something strong and sweet . It all was bitter . Hopefully others agree. Love love love this place. This valley girl who grew up in the 80's fell in love as soon as I saw the amazing video games that Barcade offers. We stumbled across this place while looking for another place and I was so happy we did. The bartender was helpful. I don't drink much and he made me a wonderful and tasty drink. We ordered the tots along with sliders. Food was good. Plenty of seating. We will be back for sure. Ms. PAC Man. Tetris. Donkey Kong. You name, they got it. Absolutely love this place. Great game selection, and they're all in excellent working condition. I come here all the time, and on the rare occasion a game is out of order, it's fixed by the next time I come. Not like some other arcades that leave games out of order for months on end. I don't drink, so I can't comment on the bar side of things, but the food I've had has been pretty good. One of my favorite spots in LA. read more

Staff is friendly and efficient. Games are well always well tuned and tokens are affordable. Food is great and beer changes daily.

I used to frequent this place about 1-2x a week. I would bring my friends and coworkers. I didn't really mind that the drinks were a bit pricey. I did mind I was paying for pricey drinks and getting attitude from the bartender. The guy with the Afro mainly (if you're wondering). I had three bad experiences here. That's enough for me to never come back and not vouch for the place. Game selection is good, however. The food is too expensive to be so mediocre. From reading the reviews it seems like customer service really lacks at this place and that their food is not their strong point. I recommend that y'all visit if y'all want to be treated like doodoo. Harassed and threatened by a security guard working for Hollywood Elite Security last night @ Barcade We visited Barcade a few days ago on a Sunday night with a few friends and noticed that security was keeping a very close eye on us, The "manager security" approached my husband and his 2 friends asking if there was an issue because they "were eyeballing" him. We left that night and decided to visit it again last night for my husbands birthday with a few new friends from out of town. Well when my husband stepped outside for a smoke break in the parking lot a security by the name of "David" (wearing a fedora) approached him and his friends and told them they couldn't smoke there, so they than walked further into an alley way (that isn't private property by the way) the security than approached them again 5 min later saying they couldn't smoke there either. Than said they couldn't enter the bar again. He walked away, than the "security manager" approached them and said they couldn't smoke there but they were able to do so in the front of the building. Another group of guys were also smoking in the alley but they were able to enter the premises again. They walked over to the front, than "David" approached them again THREATENING my husband as if he was going to put his hands on him. Saying he was from a different weight class and he would fuck him up. The manager" was holding "David" back, but did absolutely nothing. We are 100% sure "David" was heavily intoxicated. My husband was able to come inside to grab me. So I decided to speak to the manager of Barcade that was Anita. I explained the situation to her and asked if it was the security sitting at the back bar and it was. He was eating - probably trying to sober up. I said is his name David and she said don't worry about his name. We were there celebrating my husbands birthday with 20+ people. Anita apologized and said that the security was a company she used and they weren't her employees - But that apology isn't sufficient. A security guard THREATENING AND HARASSING my husband, if you want to feel profiled, bullied and intimidated feel free to visit. read more

I wanted to like this spot so badly as it's just a few blocks from my house. The first time we went I thought it was awful--the drinks were mediocre, the prices a little too high, the decor like a Dave & Busters with exposed brick and (this is not a compliment). The games were a high point, can't bad mouth the selection, but the cost to play pinball was a little high. The next time we visited, my sis and I acknowledged things had improved, maybe they were working out the kinks, the food even looked good. But then, someone in our party saw a waitress walking around with his order but she wouldn't give it to him as he didn't have a number. He told her he wasn't given a number--in fact no one in our party who had ordered food had received a number. He then had to go to the bar, have them look up his order to verify it to confirm it was in fact his. The waitress then kind of lectured him about how the bar WAS giving out numbers, and it was his fault for not taking it. The right answer when something like this happens is "sorry about that confusion, here's your order. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Not a lecture. We went to the bar to see if we could talk to a manager but it kind of felt like there weren't any "adults" around. The staff was kind of chatting and not super responsive, so I said, don't worry about it, that's what yelp is for! read more

This is the first week the joint opened and it difficult to write a review when something's gone wrong. I went in the first Friday night they opened and had an amazing time. Loved the food the atmosphere and service was amazing. The guy at bar that took our order was friendly explained the menu gave us tips on the things to order and suggestions on beers that we might like to try. I bragged about the place to my fiends and sister who I love dearly and brought them on Saturday after an art show we attended. And unfortunately I had a very different experience and still thinking about it on Monday. Which is why I'm writing this review. We went to back to the bar to order food and drinks. The bartender seemed to be ignoring me for about 15?minutes. I gave him the benefit of the doubt since they were really busy. At one point I just waived and he came over. I asked him if he had any ciders and he was very rude in how he responded. My sister asked for a Stella and he told he didn't have that as if we were bothering him , no suggestions. I asked "what beers do you hsve close to Stella " and he rudely responded " whatever beer is up there" Very sarcastic, unhelpful and rude. He walked away and ignored us again fir another few minutes. I wish I would've gotten this his name as he ruin my going back again. I go hsve to say that the first time I went there the Hispanics bartender was very sweet and in passing on the second as I was leaving remember us and said something to the affect of glad to hsve us back. Please check your bartenders and servers so they are hosting and serving with a smile. I payed to much money that night and looked forward to another fun evening only to have a bartender ruin the experience for my sister and I . read more

Barcade Los Angeles has a great selection of classic arcade video games plus a nice selection of modern pinball games. The games are in excellent condition. The bar looked like a wide selection and they do not price gouge for a simple soda, like some others do. Highly Recommend! read more

Great game selection, but I don't think I'll get food there again. It took 45 minutes for our burgers to arrive and when they did, they were cold. And BLAND. $15 and no flavor. The fries sucked, too. They were pretty slammed so maybe that's why it took so long, but that doesn't explain how sad it tasted. read more

(I posted this comment on their social media page and they took it down with out even addressing it, in suspicion that they might go as far as to block me to keep me away from letting the public know what happened, im here now) I was in your establishment (Barcade on York) yesterday 6/21 , after walking out friends to their Uber I returned to meet up with the rest of our group so that we can leave. I was then forcefully grabbed by the arm and told to leave as soon as i step foot inside. After explaining multiple times that my group was inside and that I had been there for the past 3 hours and needed to use the restroom I was being pulled/dragged out the door by the arm with unecessary force. I repeatedly told him that touching me was just out of line, and luckily my friend (who had JUST came out of the bathroom, by the way, how ironic) saw the interaction and stepped in to get the guy to release me, only doing so when another person got involved because i suddenly wasnt alone anymore. I was not intoxicated as your cameras can easily prove that and yet I had hands put on me by a gentleman in a hat. When a "manager" finally came out and we explained the incident his response was "who touched you" when I pointed at who it was he then dismissively responded "well, that's between you two" as I explained that he cannot put hands on me he proceeded to tell everyone to go inside and then shut the door on me. This is not ok. No security has the right to put hands on someone who is simply asking to use the restroom and meet up with their friends at an establishment they have been in for the past few hours that closes at 2am. I was much smaller than this gentleman, i posed no threat, instead he chose to approach and grab me with out another thought. This is NOT how you treat a paying customer. And it is NOT okay that in no way did you reprimand the man that did this. He stood dead quiet when i singled him out, and hid behind the rest of the security team before walking away and reentering the bar. Hire people who dont grab girls by the arm, who are smaller than them, when asking to use the bathroom before closing and regrouping with friends that were inside. I woke up with a sore arm thanks to this guy. read more
