A group of us decided to come to this place on a whim. Service was great quick, attentive and kind, several of us ordered off the 2 for $30.00 menu. You get a shared appetizer and 2 entrees for $30.00, we ordered queso for our shared and shredded chicken enchiladas, and chicken fajita plate. I had a skinny margarita which was tasty. Chips and hot sauce were on point, the green sauce was "hot" but delish! We had a great time! Unfortunately we were having "a no phones" at dinner party so I didn't get pics! Good size place that can accommodate large groups. We came here for a surprise birthday party of about 20 people and notice in other areas of the restaurant were other large party groups. Wait staff was friendly and quick. Ordered Chile Relleno with picadillo and the rice and beans were flavorful, but the Relleno not so much, no flavor at all. Good thing for the salsa and the table salt. Many others at the table felt the same way about there dishes, a lack of flavor. The birthday was a hit so all in all a good experience. read more

Wednesday evening, my sister's 70th Bday was great at first....then the food came followed by the bill. I've not been there in awhile and it has changed a lot! Food and service not like it used to be. My Mel's enchiladas weren't as good as used to be. (tortillas weren't chewy on the ends) and skimpy on the sauce. Server placed my dinner on my sister and her husband's bill. I had to have her redo the bill and put my order separate. She did not care for that request. She should have asked before doing that. Unexpected lunch/dinner.... Very Surprised by this restaurant. I didn't expect it to be this good!! The beef was Tender and Juicy inside my Burrito . The salsa around the Burrito was tasty and delicious too.... Beans and rice well done Good vibrant Mexican music in the background playing. I got caught in a rainstorm on the way back from Houston, so I stopped here to let some of the rain pass. I had no idea if it was any good. After seating, I received chips and salsa. Very tasty. I like the texture of the chips (thick) and the medium heat on the salsa. Then, I ordered Chalupas- one chicken and one beef. They came with beans, rice, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. I had never had chalupas before, but it won't be my last time! I loved it all! The lettuce was crisp, the Chalupas were perfect - both the beef and chicken, and all the trimmings were fresh and tasty. I'm glad I found another place to dine! read more

The service was exceptional! The food is authentically delicious! My beer was served in a frosted mug with a choice of a salted rim. You must stop in and try it. I went for lunch and it was clean, quiet enough for table conversation. The menu is plentiful and the prices are great for the large portions that you get. My problem was when they tell you cheese and sour cream would be extra ok cool then get the bill. While not nearly what could be considered authentic South of the Border cuisine, it still makes the estomago (Spanish: stomach) sing with delight. Whenever I dine here, I usually get some sort of enchilada plate, which I highly recommend. During my most recent visit, I got real acquainted with the Burrito Texano. The dish was a fiesta of cheesy and meaty goodness. It was big and piping hot to the point I was eating it with a fork and knife. Always a filling delicious meal here. When we decided to come here for lunch today I could not resist on getting the Homero's Favorite enchilada from the lunch menu. I decided to ask for it medium spicy this time with spicy salsa on the side. It wasn't too spicy and I actually added quite a bit of the spicy salsa to it. Service was great and our drinks stayed filled. They were pretty busy with the lunch crowd today and the service was on top of it.
