A friend recommended the Porchetta sandwich at the Barchetta stand in the Section 106 area and I've had it on my to-try list at Oracle. At the stand, you see all the Porchetta slow roasting in the rotisserie oven. The pork has rosemary, garlic and fennel seed flavors and is chopped into small pieces, topped with crackling pork skin pieces and arugula and placed in a soft crusty ciabatta roll. It is a good sized sandwich. In terms of food at Oracle, this is a pretty good food choice as the sandwich is tasty. In terms of Porchetta sandwiches, it doesn't meet the taste and overall quality of that food truck that serves the infamous Porchetta sandwich. The workers at Barchetta were very friendly and even offered a sampling of crackling before my purchase. Oh, the Giants also beat the Rockies!

Typically stadium food is fairly meh. This place blew us away. Roast pork sandwiches. Lots of flavorful cubed meat, crispy crackling, arugula salad on great bread. Huge portion. Beer and garlic fries to round off the meal. No better setting that Oracle Stadium. Although would have been great of the Giants won. The only deduction is I asked for a receipt and got a blunt machine's broken. No apology on the tone.

I got the Porchetta sandwich during the DBacks v Giants game today. I was sitting in section 104 so this place was very conveniently located nearby. I thought this sandwich was outstanding. Flavorful and moist roasted pork with crackling, crispy bits of skin mixed in. Topped with arugula, all on a good quality ciabatta roll. These sandwiches are HUGE! My friend and I split one and an order of garlic fries. Along with a beer it was a perfect meal. I'd sit close to this area again just to get this sandwich. In the small plaza where Barchetta is located, there's also a Mexican food stand and they have a really big tv screen out there so you can see what's happening on the field.

This is outstanding food for a ballpark. The roast pork sandwich hit the spot and the best part...no line.

Overall, the pizza was good. My only complaint is that they put a little too much Parmesan on top for my taste since I'm not really a parm person. I found this place through Barstool Pizza Review, so I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I'd give it a solid 4.5-5 stars. I've been trying different pizza spots all day, and I wouldn't say this was the best one I had, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. It was just a good, solid pizza. Next time I'll ask for no Parmesan, and I think that could easily make it a 5-star experience for me. Service was okay. It seemed like they were mostly set up for dine-in, and since there really wasn't anywhere for us to sit, we felt a little rushed. The lady who helped us was very nice, and the gentleman who handed us the pizza was nice as well. The place has a cool neighborhood feel and looks like they may be doing some construction or improvements right now. I posted a few pictures, and I definitely want to come back one more time, sit down, and give it another try.

After a soccer game, or to celebrate something, or just on a random Tuesday night. But somewhere along the way, pizza became a delivery thing. Something to eat when I was feeling lazy. My quest to find the best pizza in San Francisco is reminding me how much I enjoy sitting down for pizza with the ones I love. And Hi Hat is one of the best spots in the city to do that. The people are super nice. There's plenty of space to cozy up, and probably a dozen beers on tap. Good, local beers, like Bare Bottle. Cellarmaker. Ghost Town. And yes, the food is really really good. Especially the pizza. They're known for their spicy vodka and Stracciatella which has this creamy, garlicky sauce...and a slow burn to it. I really enjoyed it. And the jersey pie, which is really all about the tomatoes. My wife LOVED it. I thought it was good....in a simple pleasures kinda way. You can these by the slice, and after 9PM slices are three bucks. But some pies, you can only get whole. Like this sausage and ricotta pizza that I absolutely loved. I'm normally not a ricotta guy - but this was whipped so light and airy...in between bites of salty sausage....I get it now. And of all the NY style spots I've tried on this quest, this might be my favorite crust. I asked their pizza tosser how he does it. It's a five day process, and they keep the dough cold until the second it goes in the oven. That traps the air bubbles inside. And those bubbles are what give it this airy, crispy, fluffy crust. Then he slid a cookie in front of my daughter, and it hit me that this was HER first random tuesday nights going out to pizza with mom and dad...and I know she loved it too.

Their beer is excellent, and I've heard nothing but great things about the place and people. We visited on a Sunday and met friends, who said it took a while to get a big table for us; it was surprisingly packed! It's a large industrial brewery, with the equipment chained off at the back. They make great use of the rest of the building with large tables, small tables, bar seating/standing room, plus an arcade area, outside seating area, and a few cozy living room style areas with stuffed furniture at the back. To the right on entry is the canned beer for takeout, to the left is their large bar and impressive tap list. We mostly get IPAs, so it was fun to try their other styles like rice lagers and a barleywine, everything was excellent. Their flights are huge, basically half size goblet pours in a six rack. Prices are reasonable for the well developed beer. They also had a food vendor outside, which we loved (see separate review). It's great to see a place equally rock great beer and a fun experience, I definitely look forward to returning sometime soon.

I stopped by here again last week with a friend who came up from San Jose, grabbed a few beers as the service is usually super quick even on busy days, got my usual IPA, and grabbed a seat outside as it was pretty hot. Great place to hangout, they have a mini-arcade for kids if you've got little ones, and of course a to go fridge if you want to grab some cans to go! This is definitely a fun place to be, and if you're watching sports, they've got Tv's as well!

Here's what we noticed: - Great vibe when we arrived...Busy with lots of people, but still some seating at the large number of picnic tables. There's also some outside patio seating in the front. - My wife and I split a flight of beer, which they provide in three 6 ounce pours. We especially liked their Hazy IPA, but the Oktoberfest was very good too. The bartender said their Kolsch is a bit of a classic, and we liked it too, but it wasn't a stand out to us. I later got a 10 ounce pour of their IPA and felt like that was the best of all. The best part is that you couldn't go wrong with any of the beers. - We got chips and guacamole from the taco truck guy located inside next to the bar...You pay by cash, and we got a big container of chips and a humongous couple of scoops of guac for $9. It was just what we needed to go with our beers! Bottom line: if we lived in the area, we'd go back to Standard Deviant for sure!

From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.

Staff is a little distracted/disorganized, but they eventually get to you; be patient, you're not coming here for a quick beer. Food is good, tasty and filled with carbs. The burger-to-bun ratio was a little off in favor of buns, but flavor was there. Stepping through the door you wouldn't know the place was under new management if you didn't check the name on the door. Same decor, same layout, same everything except the logos/art. It's a nice place to swing by for a good beer. I hope they do well so that they expand the list of taps to a larger selection (they have the infrastructure, just not the kegs).
