The food is decent. We went during happy hour, so the prices were great. Our waitress was excellent. The ambiance is a bit outdated though.

Came here for a later night bite. We really enjoyed the reverse hh and grabs a few bites and drinks and we're happy with everything.

Low light sushi restaurant with stone walls and a full on bar when you first walk in and just beyond that there is also a full on sushi bar. Service is pretty fast. Very kid friendly, I came with my 12 year old for his birthday dinner and the server was very nice and gave great recommendations. My son LOVED all of them with her top recommendation, the Samurai, being his absolute favorite. I ordered a Lychee Martini (pictured with the single spring roll and eel sauce plate) which was exactly what I would expect it to taste like. The only hiccup we had was that the parking is pretty complicated. Directly across from the sushi restaurant, the cars all had boots on them, so I would recommend the AMLI parking right behind the restaurant which is validated with a sticker. You pay $5 at the restaurant even tho the parking lot shows different. Sushi Pictured From left to right: Fried Spring Rolls (4), Spider Maki Roll, Samurai, Shaggy Dog, California Maki Roll.

I came here for their happy hour and the sushi is pretty average which was a bit disappointing. I was also excited to try their Lychee Martini, but it was not that great. I felt better knowing I didn't pay full price for it, but at least I gave this spot a chance. Only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because the service was great. Also, they don't have WiFi available and if you have T-Mobile you wont have any connection/service inside.

This spot was so good. All the nigeri were delicious. Service was ok, server never brought my edamame. I would come back again if I'm Austin.

Pretty good sushi experience downtown! The sushi quality was solid and the chicken katsu was well fried but some of the supporting ingredients didn't seem to mesh well flavor wise for me but that could definitely be personal preference. Service was solid and it's in a great location downtown

We stopped by for a quick bite during happy hour. The sushi quality isn't top-notch, but it's fair for the price. We sat at the bar and our bartender was super friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The ambiance is dark, cozy, and chill making it a good spot to relax and catch up over drinks and rolls.

I've been here three times now and have had a great experience each time. I would say this is the perfect place to go downtown if you don't feel like paying $200 on omakase or upscale dining, but you still want a nice lunch or dinner. They have some happy hour deals and a great selection of sushi, apps, and drinks. I've never had to make a reservation which makes things easy. I usually street park but I believe they will validate your parking in one of the parking garages.

Super fast and friendly service at the bar. Yummy drinks and sushi options. Convenient location perfect for date night or a bite before a night on the town!

Been coming here for over a decade. Glad to see it's still just as good. I come here for their golden lion role. Something about the lemon slice that really makes this roll one of my favorites in town. We came on a Saturday night at 8pm with a rezzy and our table was ready. Service is great and food comes out fast. It's always really loud here but the music is good and it's the downtown party vibe. It's very dark inside as well. Miso soup: 8/10 Shrimp tempura: 9/10 Golden lion: 11/10 Shaggy dog: 9.5/10 Flying dragon: 7/10 (little soggy) Spicy girl: 8/10 Volcano: 9/10 Love at first sight: 7/10 (apparently a popular roll but not a favorite for us) Cocktails were great too. Loved the lychee martini. 4 stars mainly due to only having 2 restrooms (one unisex each) so the wait can get long and annoying. Outside of this, love this spot and looking forward to coming back.

Once we walked through Manny's, we were greeted right away and since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly. Quick heads up: cell phones aren't allowed inside -- they take your phone and give you a key to a locker where it's stored for the night. The idea is to keep everyone present and engaged with each other instead of their screens (they do make exceptions for emergencies or on-call situations, at the business's discretion). I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. I do not know what her issue was, but if you are tired and don't like staying up late, don't work in a bar. After saying that there was only standing room, I decided that I was not going to spend money in an establishment that speaks to people in such a disgusting way, so I proceeded to leave. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there.
