I have been getting waxed for about a decade. However, I have had a few less than decent experiences. Today was *NOT* one of those days. I moved to Arizona, and struggled w/ finding a new waxing professional. I have no joke been burned by past 'experts'. Also, letting a complete stranger look at your most private areas, and your bootyhole, is never something that most are super stoked about. To say I was anxious/nervous about today, is an understatement. HOWEVER, it was HANDS DOWN legit the BEST waxing experience of my LIFE. Elaine was sent down from the waxing Heaven above to share her angel hands and abilities with us ladies! The whole process took around 14 minutes. FOURTEEN MINUTES. Easy breezy. I can *almost* say it was painless. Almost. Elaine is so fast, quick and just I don't even have words for it! She keeps the conversation going so you can't even focus on what she is doing. I have already booked my next appointment, mass texted all my friends and wrote this insanely long review (which I never write reviews!). I would buy her a pony, for sure. First time here having a facial with Elaine. When I arrived I was surprised how small is the front desk. I arrived early and I wait 15 minutes after my appointment time which is not the big deal. Then the bad feeling start when the little door open and Elaine asked for my name with a cold serious face ooopppsss immediately I knew I was in the wrong place. She didn't introduce herself, she didn't explain to me how was the process and what to expect being the first time there. I asked is she could do my eyebrows wax an immediately she responded but I will cut the time for your facial. I thought ok what else I can say with her attitude. The room was cold, the massage very rough, and the wax extremely painful. I couldn't wait to get out of this place. No pleasant, rush, and not friendly at all. I have to admit that I was pretty terrified the first time I went in to get waxing done! I looked all over the place at all the reviews I could find, and finally chose to go see Amy to get all of my pre-wedding pampering done. I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. Amy is so sweet, great with answering any questions and making you feel totally comfortable. I've been going to see her ever since for facials, eyebrow waxing, and recently started buying products that she recommended when I inquired about what to use between appointments. Amy is really knowledgeable and informative. Every time I go see her it's like going to see a friend that I've had forever! She always remembers me, and whatever was going on last time I was there that we chatted about. I always feel amazing when I leave this place! I'm not one to ever write reviews but this place is so good it deserves it. I have eyebrows that are close to impossible to work with. They are sparse and grow in a downward direction instead of upward and to the side. I never get them done because usually people don't know what to do with them and leave them far too thin. My eyebrows have always been a huge insecurity of mine until now. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed twice and tinted once here and I was so satisfied with both visits. These ladies know exactly what they are doing and are so friendly!! My eyebrows have never looked so good. If I could give them more than five stars I would! Bare Necessity Wax & Spa is simply the best. I've been going to Amy for over a year and have had several different wax treatments, and I just won't go anywhere else. I love her new location, when you walk in the door it's not only relaxing, but the staff provides amazing customer service. I've been going to Bare Necessity Wax & Spa for about two years. That alone should tell you that I love this place. The care and attentiveness is awesome. I go in and out of there always with a smile and satisfaction. But the one person I will miss seeing every time I have an appointment is their Receptionist, Mackenzie. You've got to have a massage by Samantha H.!! She's AMAZING! I had my first appointment at Bare Necessity yesterday for a massage by Samantha. She used the perfect pressure and made me feel very comfortable during the massage, it was extremely relaxing! The whole experience was so peaceful and rejuvenating. The reception area is very calming with the smell of a spa and sound of a water fountain. The minute I walked in I could feel all the stress drain from my body. So glad I discovered Bare Necessity! I made an appointment with Elaine to get my eyebrows tweezed (I am currently using a Retinol cream, so waxing is a no-go) and tinted. I was so nervous about how they would turn out, but Elaine did a WONDERFUL job! I booked my next appointment before leaving and will keep going back every 3 weeks. Amazing ! Amy is such a joy to spend time with. The Spa is clean ( SUPER IMPORTANT) and she give a stellar face waxing and facial. I have been going to Rachel for several years for waxing and facials. She is amazing, plus she has the sweetest personality. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. The salon is extremly clean and tranquil. LOVE this place! Everyone is so sweet and friendly from the moment you walk in to the second you walk out of your appointment. If you're wanting a wax, I HIGHLY recommend Kenna! She's super friendly and does a fantastic job. She also helps you with breathing techniques that significantly reduce pain if you don't have a high pain tolerance haha.
