I've gone to Bare probably 5-6 times now and each time has been fantastic. I went in today and had a new person I had not worked with before. In all of my other experiences, everyone was kind and kept conversation going to ease the pain/somewhat awkwardness of the experience. The woman today hardly said hello and was completely silent throughout the process. She asked when my last appointment was, I told her I couldn't remember. After she began sugaring, she asked if I had shaved in between the last sugar and now, I said yes. She proceeded to practically scold me for doing so, almost complaining about the fact that it made sugaring more difficult. I won't go into too many details, but she ended up having to use wax toward the center where hair was longer. She then told me that because I had shaved, wax would have been better to use on those areas she had already sugared. Why she didn't just wax them in the first place? Who knows. I've gone to Bare with things in the same state they were in today and have had no issues, each person was pleasant and did their best and worked with what I had. This person then gave me a speech at the end of this incredibly silent experience about how I need to come every 3-4 weeks. Which I already knew/understood...but we all have lives and this isn't always something at the top of my to-do list. Bottom line, the customer service was non-existent with this person. She made it seem like I was an inconvenience just by being there. I was not impressed. This did not ruin my view of the studio as a whole, but I will not be asking for her again. read more

Waxing is something that can be a very personal experience and it can cause great anxiety (this was my experience). I had never been to a waxing studio and had no idea what to expect. I went as far as taking motrin, bringing my on baby wipes and talking my best friend into going with me. I honestly thought I was going to pass out or kick the esthetician in the face... This couldn't have been further from the truth. From the minute I walked into the studio I was greeted very kindly and asked to sign in. I was seen immediately and I explained to Shita (who by the way is AMAZING that it was my first time). She was so comforting and her aura so calming. She walked me through the entire process and made me feel so comfortable. She also educated me and did not make me feel embarrassed at all. After allowing my eyebrows to grow back from such a bad experience. I'd been looking about three months for someone who was experienced, patient and would really listen to me about my eyebrows and what I wanted and didn't want. I came across Bare Wax on Google and after reading all the wonderful reviews I decided to make an appointment with Angela. Upon arrival I was greeted with a nice friendly smile and hello. The atmosphere was very nice and calming. Angela was professional, warm and welcoming. She took me to her station, asked about my eyebrow threading/waxing experience in the past, and how I wanted my eyebrows. She then explained to me what she was going to do and why. She spoke about skin care all while being ever so gentle threading my brows. I was so pleased with the results that I will definitely be returning on regular. I made my appt online, very easy and convenient. It was my 1st time EVER getting any kind of body waxing beside eyebrows. I did my homework before making this decision at my husbands daring. Why anyone would willingly, consciously, or repeatedly put themselves thru this kind of torture is vanity and insanity in my modest opinion!.... That said, my experience was way better than I anticipated. Heidi was my technician and she made the awkward (for me) process bearable. She talked me thru every step which mostly took my mind off the discomfort and she did a great job, thorough down to the finest hair she could get. I loved getting my brows done at Bare wax. The receptionist was really nice. She wanted to know more about my skin so she could best recommend the perfecteveryone at home coz for the first time I didn't have swollen eyebrows after waxing. Also the lady that did my eyebrows was very nice making sure I wasservice for me. I always dreaded getting my eyebrows waxed because of sensitive skin. I'd give bare wax 4-5 star rating. Only place nearby that I trust. I've been using bare wax for awhile now and won't go anywhere else. All of the girls there are very experienced. I like to keep my eye brows thick and most places will just take everything off but not bare wax. It is very clean and nice inside (the nicest around Duluth/norcross) the reason why I give 4 star is because of the price. It is a little high but you get what you pay for. I cannot stress enough how much I love the staff and services at Bare Waxing Studio in Norcross. I used to live 10 minutes away so it was super convenient to pop in and get my eyebrows taken care of. Now I live about 45 minutes away but still make the drive because I refuse to go anywhere else for waxing. The staff here are AMAZING. Always always always super friendly and professional. I had an appointment with Andrea S at the new Duluth location, I have some hair on my cheeks and neck area. She was really sweet and gentle. She did give me a disclaimer about possibly not getting all the hair off because it was short but she exceeded my expectations! It was my first time getting waxed and Andrea S helped me through the whole process by talking me through it all. She got every last hair. I've waxed before but fairly inconsistently and was very pleased when I went to Karen at Bare Waxing studio. She makes you feel at ease and distracts you during the service so you do not focus on the pain (which gets easier each time you go anyway).
